Abstract

Community-Based Total Sanitation is the leading example of community-based sanitation in Indonesia. It upholds the non-subsidy principle by enlisting the help of the community to create sanitary and hygienic infrastructure. The problem is the lack of clean water supply facilities and the level of public awareness so that STBM pillars II, IV and V have not yet been implemented. The present analysis is useful research is to get receiving a picture implementation of the Post-Declaration Community-Based Total Sanitation Program in Nelelamawangi Village. This paper was written as a quantitative desk study using survey methods. The sampling technique used in this study uses the propotional sampling method to determine the sample size.Using a proportional sampling method. The population in this study was the people of Nelelamawangi Village, aged 17-60 years, totaling 384 and 196 people were sampled in this study. Study findings demonstrate that it is accurate. that post-declaration STBM Pillar I had been implemented, Post-declaration STBM Pillar II had not been implemented, Post-declaration STBM Pillar III had been implemented, Post-declaration STBM Pillar IV had not been implemented and Post-declaration STBM Pillar V had not been implemented. The conclusion is that pillars in the STBM program have been implemented in pillars I and III and have not been implemented in pillars II, IV and V.

Abstract

Diarrhea is a disease in which a person experiences consistent changes in feces to be more liquid than usual but not bloody with a frequency of more than three times within 24 hours. This study aims to determine the description of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) of Mothers with the Incidence of Diarrhea in Toddlers in the Umanen Health Center Working Area, Belu Regency. This type of research is descriptive research that is studied quantitatively. The sample in this research was 60 mothers. Sampling in this study using total sampling technique. The results showed that the use of clean water was categorized as good with a percentage of 56.7%, hand washing behavior was categorized as poor with a percentage of 55.0%, the behavior of throwing garbage in place was categorized as poor with a percentage of 53.3% and the behavior of using healthy latrines was categorized as poor with a percentage of 63.3%. For mothers of toddlers, it is hoped that they will always apply PHBS (Clean and Healthy Living Behavior) by applying the 7 steps of Hand Washing with Soap (CTPS) which is good and correct and further apply the behavior of disposing of garbage in its place and applying the use of healthy latrines in everyday life.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Stunting adalah salah satu masalah gizi yang disebabkan karena kekurangan gizi kronis dalam jangka waktu yang lama sehingga berdampak bagi perkembangan dan pertumbuhan pada anak. Prevalensi stunting di Indonesia pada tahun 2023 mencapai 21,5%. Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) menjadi salah satu provinsi dengan tingkat prevalensi stunting tertinggi yaitu sebesar 37,9% dan kabupaten Timor Tengah Selatan (TTS) dengan prevalensi sebesar 50,1%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan pola asuh ibu dan riwayat pernikahan dini dengan kejadian stunting di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Binaus Kabupaten Timor Tengah Selatan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei analitik dengan rancangan case control. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 64 responden yang mempunyai balita yang dibagi kedalam 32 orang untuk kelompok kasus dan 32 orang kelompok kontrol. Sampel dalam penelitian diambil dengan teknik simple random sampling. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis univariat dan analisis bivariat, dengan uji statistik chi-square. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel yang berhubungan dengan kejadian stunting adalah praktik pemberian makan (p=0,000), pemanfaatan layanan kesehatan (p=0,006), perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (p=0,002), dan riwayat pernikahan dini (p=0,023) sedangkan variabel yang tidak berhubungan adalah praktik pemberian ASI (p=0,274). Tenaga kesehatan diharapkan dapat memberikan edukasi terkait pola asuh ibu dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan nutrisi anak, memanfaatkan layanan kesehatan, menerapkan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat, serta memberikan edukasi bagi remaja sebagai para calon ibu untuk mempertimbangan usia pernikahan. ABSTRACT Stunting is a nutritional problem caused by chronic malnutrition over a long period of time, which has an impact on the development and growth of children. The prevalence of stunting in Indonesia in 2023 will reach 21.5%. East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) province is one of the provinces with the highest stunting prevalence rate, namely 37.9% and South Central Timor (TTS) district with a prevalence of 50.1%. This study aims to analyze the relationship between maternal parenting patterns and a history of early marriage with the incidence of stunting in the work area of ​​the Binaus Community Health Center, South Central Timor Regency. The type of research used is an analytical survey with a case control design. The sample in this study was 64 respondents who had toddlers who were divided into 32 people in the case group and 32 people in the control group. The sample in the study was taken using a simple random sampling technique. The data analysis used was univariate analysis and bivariate analysis, with the chi-square statistical test. The results of this study show that the variables related to the incidence of stunting are feeding practices (p=0,000), use of health services (p=0,006), clean and healthy living behavior (p=0,002), and history of early marriage (p=0,023) while variables that do not related is the practice of breastfeeding (p=0,274). Health workers are expected to be able to provide education regarding mother's parenting patterns in meeting children's nutritional needs, utilizing health services, implementing clean and healthy living behavior, as well as providing education for teenagers as prospective mothers to consider the age of marriage.

Abstract

Introduction: Diarrhea is one of the most common diseases affecting children worldwide. Diarrhea is a condition when the sufferer defecates more often than usual, namely defecating more than 3 times a day and the diarrhea sufferer's stool is thinner than usual. Puskesmas Tarus is one of the Puskesmas in Kupang Regency with the highest data on diarrhea cases in 2021 compared to other Puskesmas, namely 132 cases of diarrhea in toddlers. In 2022 diarrhea cases increased, namely 139 until 2023 it continued to increase to 145 diarrhea patients in children under five. Methods : This type of research and research design is quantitative research with Cross Sectional design. the population in this study were all mothers of toddlers in the Tarus Puskesmas Working Area. The population of mothers who have toddlers is 2,110 people. The sampling method is determined by simple random sampling, with mothers or respondents who have toddlers totaling 66 people. Data analysis was performed with the Chi-Square statistical test. Results: The results showed that there was a significant relationship between maternal knowledge (ρ=0.034), hand washing behavior (ρ=0.022), ownership of healthy latrines (ρ=0.007), availability of clean water (ρ=0.029) with the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers in the Tarus Health Center Working Area. Conclusion: It is recommended for mothers to maintain personal hygiene before doing or giving activities to toddlers.

Abstract

Promosi kesehatan merupakan revitalisasi pendidikan kesehatan yang bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan mengubah perilaku masyarakat. Promosi kesehatan sangat dibutuhkan, baik menggunakan media tradisisonal maupun modern untuk meningkatkan kesehatan masyarakat. Media yang dicoba dalam penelitian ini adalah media carousel instagram dan leaflet . Carousel adalah salah satu fitur instagram yang efektif , yang memungkinkan penyampaian informasi secara ringkas dan menarik. Selain itu, leaflet juga sebagai media cetak yang mudah dibawa dan dipahami, juga efektif dalam menyampaikan informasi kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan pengaruh penggunaan media carousel dan leaflet terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap tentang anemia pada siswa kelas XI di SMAN 5 Poco Ranaka, Kabupaten Manggarai Timur, NTT. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimental , rancangan pre-test post-test with control group . Jumlah sampel ditentukan dengan menggunakan rumus Lameshow, sehingga sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 98 siswa yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok: kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan media leaflet dan kelompok perlakuan yang menggunakan media carousel . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan pengetahuan dan sikap siswa tentang anemia sebelum dan sesudah intervensi, serta intervensi melalui media carousel dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan sebesar 1,72 kali dan dapat mengubah sikap sebesar 2,39 kali dibandingkan dengan media leaflet. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi dalam strategi promosi kesehatan yang lebih efisien di sekolah-sekolah.

Abstract

Efforts to reduce HIV and AIDS infection can be done by taking antiretroviral virus (ARV) drugs. Behavioral compliance in treatment is one way to maintain so that PLWHA (people with HIV and AIDS) can live longer. Factors supporting adherence to taking ARV medication are self-motivation including, attitude to recover, belief / belief in healing, support from family, and support of health workers. The purpose of this study is to find out how motivation for adherence of people with HIV / AIDS in consuming Antiretroviral (ARV) in Kupang City in 2019. The type of research used in this study is descriptive qualitative. This research informants numbered 5 people. This study uses in-depth interview techniques (Indepth Interview). Data analysis was performed with qualitative analysis based on data obtained through unstructured interviews with informants. The results of the study found that PLWHA have the motivation to adhere to taking antiretrovirals. Although there are still PLWHA who are late taking medication and dropping out due to antiretroviral side effects. In addition, there is a belief from PLWHA about the benefits of ARV therapy to make PLWHA healthy again, having hopes of a drug that can cure AIDS. The family's acceptance of the AIDS status suffered by PLWHA and supporting PLWHA to take ARV drugs and the support of health workers are supporting factors that motivate PLWHA to comply with antiretroviral consumption. From the results of the study it is expected that all PLWHA will always take ARV medicines on time and regularly check their health at a health facility.

Abstract

Risky adolescent sexual behavior can be caused reproductive health problems in adolescents such as unwanted pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, and abortion. To increase knowledge about reproductive health, health education is needed. One of the health education methods that can be used in small group education methods is role-playing.This study aims to determine the impact of health education using role-playing methods to improve the knowledge about risky sexual behavior in class XII adolescents in SMAN 1 Kupang. The research method used was a pre-experiment one-group pre-test post-test design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling and the samples obtained included 88 people. The obtained data were analyzed by the T-test. The results of this study suggest that role-play health education raises the knowledge of SMA Negeri 1 Kupang students about sexual behavior in adolescents before and after counseling with role-play methods with a significance value (ρ) of 0.00 <(α) 0.05. The role-play method can be used as a method to provide counseling for teenagers.

Abstract

Malnutrition is a condition where nutritional intake is insufficient to meet metabolic needs, with nutritional status based on body weight index for age (BB/U<-3SD). Malnutrition has a negative impact on physical and mental growth, reduces body resistance, intelligence and even causes disability and increases morbidity and mortality. This study used a case-control research design with a ratio of 1:1. The sample used was 50 selected by simple random sampling consisting of 25 cases and 25 controls. Analysis of the data used is a simple logistic regression analysis using statistical tests with a significance level of = 0.05. Mother's education showed a value (p = 0.002 OR value 0.107), mother's knowledge (p = 0.001 OR value 0.091) toddler eating habits consisted of main meals (p = 0.025 OR 0.259), breakfast (p = 0.045 OR 0.219), snacks (p=0.013, OR 0.291), family food availability (p=0.002, OR 576.000), and a history of infectious diseases (p=0.005, OR 22.154). From the results of the research, some respondents showed that there was a significant relationship between poor nutrition and maternal education, knowledge of maternal health nutrition, eating habits of children under five, availability of family food and infectious diseases. This is indicated by the results of a simple logistic regression analysis. Mothers must also take advantage of existing health services and pay attention to the nutritional intake of toddlers to prevent malnutrition.

Abstract

Health insurance is a guarantee in the form of health protection so that participants get health care benefits and protection in meeting basic health needs that are given to everyone who has paid the Health Insurance Contribution or the Health Insurance Contibution is paid by the Central Government or Regional Government. That study aims to determine the implementation of the National Health Insurance (JKN) in Manusak Village, East Kupang District, Kupang Regency. The population and sample of this study were 41 people who were JKN Mandiri participants in Manusak Village. Sample was done by sampling technique. Data analysis was carried oit by univariate analysis of each research variable. The results showed that most respondents did not want to pay BPJS contributions if the contributions were insurezsed (70.7%), who were willing to pay BPJS contributions if the fees were lowered (51.2%), and there were respondents who had never paid BPJS contributions (53,7%). Most of the JKN Mandiri participants were unable to pay premiums anymore, namely as many as 22 respondents (53.7%) and as many as 19 respondents (46.3%) who were still able to pay premiums. The conclusion of this study is that most of the JKN Mandiri participants in Manusak Village do not want to pay dues anymore and most of them do not have the ability to pay the dues anymore, while with regard to access to health services, the community does not experience problems related to access to health services

Abstract

Malnutrition is a lack of nutrients which include protein, carbohydrates, fats and vitamins that the body needs. Southwest Sumba Regency in 2018 there were cases of malnutrition in 13 sub-districts of the Puskesmas working area. Wee Kombaka Public Health Center is one of the health centers with 45 cases of malnutrition. Wee Kombaka Village is the working area of ​​Wee Kombaka Health Center with 45 cases of malnutrition. The purpose of this research is to analyze the factors related to the incidence of malnutrition in children under five in Wee Kombaka Village, Southwest Sumba Regency 2021. The type of research used is analytical research with a cross sectional study method. The sample used in this research is 53 people. The data analyzed using Chi-square with a significance level of = 0.05. Research shows all variables related to the incidence of malnutrition in children under five, namely the mother's level of knowledge (p-value = 0.006), attitude (p-value = 0.004), action (p-value = 0.004) and history of exclusive breastfeeding (p-value = 0.002). The conclusion in this research is that there is a relationship between knowledge, attitudes, actions and history of exclusive breastfeeding on undernourished children under five, therefore the community, especially mothers of toddlers, are expected to pay more attention to the sources and types of food for toddlers as well as the processing process to serving food to children
