Abstract

Javanese, as part of local cultural identity, needs to be introduced from an early age to prevent it from being eroded by the dominance of foreign languages and digital media. One relevant approach is through traditional performing arts, packaged appropriately for children's development. This study aims to develop the puppet operetta "Pandawa 5" as a learning medium for introducing Javanese to kindergarten students at ABA Karanganyar. The method used in this study was Research and Development (RnD) with the ADDIE development model, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects were 15 boys aged 5–6 years in the B2 group at ABA Karanganyar Kindergarten. This study yielded validation results, indicating that the operetta script obtained an average score of 86% (valid category). Quantitative pretest–posttest data showed a significant increase, from a score range of 30–55 in the pretest to 65–85 in the posttest, with an average increase of 35 points. All participants experienced an increase in their understanding of Javanese, demonstrated by their ability to use simple vocabulary, understand dialogue, and express the character values of wayang characters such as courage, honesty, and responsibility. Thus, this study concludes that the Wayang Pandawa 5 operetta is effective as a medium for learning Javanese in kindergarten, while also serving as a means of preserving local culture and strengthening character education from an early age

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of a deep learning approach in local cultural arts education for early childhood within a kindergarten setting in Yogyakarta. Using a qualitative descriptive design, data were collected through classroom observations, teacher interviews, and documentation. The analysis focused on key dimensions of deep learning, including meaningful learning, active exploration, collaboration, and reflective practice. The findings indicate that integrating local cultural arts through a deep learning–oriented approach supports children’s engagement, creativity, cultural awareness, and social interaction. Learning activities encouraged children to explore artistic processes, express ideas, collaborate with peers, and engage in simple reflection on their experiences. Teachers played a central role in facilitating inquiry-based and contextually relevant learning environments. However, challenges emerged related to teachers’ understanding of deep learning principles, limited instructional time, and constraints in learning resources. This study highlights the contextual potential of deep learning approaches to strengthen culturally responsive pedagogy in early childhood education and provides practical insights into the implementation of arts-based learning grounded in local culture.

Abstract

High-risk human papillomaviruses (HPVs) are the primary etiological agents of cervical cancer, accounting for more than 300,000 deaths annually worldwide. Current prophylactic vaccines based on recombinant L1 major capsid virus-like particles (VLPs) have demonstrated strong efficacy but are restricted to a limited spectrum of HPV types. To address this limitation, the present study evaluated a recombinant L1L2 chimeric protein derived from HPV type 52 as a potential candidate for a broad-spectrum vaccine. The chimeric protein was expressed in Escherichia coli strain BL21 (DE3) and purified for immunization studies. Female BALB/c mice (Mus musculus, n = 5 groups) were immunized, and immune responses were analyzed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and pseudovirion-based neutralization assays (PBNA). The recombinant L1L2 vaccine candidate induced detectable antibody responses against HPV antigens; however, neutralizing activity remained modest. Histopathological analysis of liver and kidney tissues showed no evidence of toxicity, supporting the safety profile of the candidate. In summary, these results suggest that the HPV type 52 L1L2 chimeric protein represents a promising platform for the development of cervical cancer vaccines, although further optimization is required to achieve robust cross-neutralizing efficacy.

Abstract

Pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD) merupakan pendidikan pada jenjang yang membantu anak berkembang secara optimal pada seluruh aspek perkembangan. Salah satu aspek perkembangan yang penting untuk diperhatikan adalah aspek perkembangan seni yang berkontribusi pada kemampuan ekspresi dan kreativitas anak yang harus dikemas dengan baik. Pengemasan seni yang baik memerlukan manajemen yang mencakup perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pebelajaran yang kontekstual dan sesuai dengan karakteristik anak usia dini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan manajemen pengemasan kegiatan seni pada anak usia dini dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tiga tahap yaitu  reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengemasan seni yang efektif memerlukan perencanaan terstruktur, pemanfaatan bahan lokal, pendekatan tematik dan keterlibatan orang tua sangat penting sebagai mitra pembelajaran Studi ini menekankan pentingnya sinergi antara sekolah dan rumah dalam menumbuhkan potensi seni anak sejak dini

Abstract

Pendidikan anak usia dini pada abad ke-21 mengalami banyak tantangan dalam proses pembelajarannya, terutama dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan konsep matematika melalui proyek kenduri di TK Aisyah Islamic Preschool. Jenis penilitian yang digunakan adalah penelitan kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Proses analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan model analisis interaktif Miles & Huberman yaitu Data Collection, Data Display, Data Reduction, dan Conclusion Drawing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan proyek kenduri mampu mengenalkan konsep matematika pola dan hubungan pada anak. Anak mampu mengenal konsep matematika pola dan hubungan seperti topi dan pola ukiran pakaian adat berbentuk segi tiga, selempang dan seprah berbentuk persegi panjang, ikat pinggang dan kalung bunga berbentuk lingkaran. Kemudian anak juga mampu mengenal konsep banyak dan sedikit sebuah benda dari makanan dan alat yang digunakan saat kegiatan kenduri, anak mengenal konsep membagi saat membagikan makanan, dan menghitung jumlah kue saat makan bersama.

Abstract

Masa usia dini merupakan periode emas penting untuk menumbuhkan kepercayaan diri anak melalui kegiatan seni. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pentas seni, serta menganalisis peran pentas seni dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan diri anak usia dini di PAUD. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan model Miles dan Huberman, yang melibatkan observasi dan wawancara pada kepala sekolah, guru, dan orang tua sebagai subjek penelitian. Analisis meliputi reduksi data, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pentas seni rutin dilaksanakan dengan dukungan aktif dari guru dan orang tua, yang secara signifikan meningkatkan kepercayaan diri, keberanian tampil, dan kemampuan bersosialisasi anak. Kendala utama yang ditemukan adalah keterbatasan dana dan minimnya pelatihan guru dalam pengembangan seni. Implikasi penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya sinergi antara sekolah, orang tua, dan masyarakat serta pelatihan berkala bagi guru demi meningkatkan kualitas kegiatan seni sebagai sarana pengembangan holistik anak.

Abstract

Integrasi seni dalam pembelajaran anak usia dini berperan sebagai sarana ekspresi dan pengembangan aspek perkembangan anak. Kajian ini penting karena seni menjembatani pembelajaran yang bermakna, kontekstual, dan sesuai dengan karakteristik belajar anak usia dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis praktik integrasi seni dalam pembelajaran holistik, nilai yang melandasinya, peran seni dalam perkembangan anak, serta tantangan penerapannya di PAUD. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologis dengan instrumen pedoman wawancara, lembar observasi, dan dokumentasi. Subyek penelitian adalah guru dan kepala sekolah dari tiga lembaga PAUD. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi seni diterapkan secara kontekstual untuk mendukung pembentukan karakter, meningkatkan kepekaan sosial-budaya, serta mengembangkan kreativitas dan keterlibatan belajar anak, namun masih menghadapi keterbatasan sarana, kompetensi guru, kurikulum akademik-sentris, dan dukungan orang tua. Temuan ini berimplikasi pada perlunya penguatan kompetensi guru, pengembangan kurikulum PAUD yang lebih holistik, serta kolaborasi orang tua dalam pembelajaran berbasis seni.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain information about Pop-Up Book learning media that is suitable for instilling character education and to determine the effectiveness of Pop-Up Book learning media for early childhood. The Pop-Up Book learning media developed consists of animated images that display 6 character education (Religious, Tolerance, Discipline, Independent, Polite, and Caring). The type of research conducted is research and development (R&D) which refers to the ADDIE development model. The subjects in this study were 40 Class B students aged 5-6 years at Al Fatah Sedan Kindergarten Yogyakarta. The instruments used in this study were child assessment observation sheets, media expert validation assessment sheets, material expert validation assessment sheets, teacher response assessment sheets, and student response assessment sheets. The results of this study indicate that Pop-Up Book Learning Media for instilling character education according to material expert assessments reached a score of 92.19 with the category "Very Appropriate". Assessments from class B student users aged 5-6 years gave a response of "Yes" which means good from all aspects of the assessment and assessments from teacher users reached a score of 97.72 with the category "Very Appropriate".

Abstract

This study develops a simulation-based techno-economic framework for designing an onshore gas trunkline system to accommodate production from newly developed wells in the X and Y Fields. The system transports 35 MMSCFD of untreated natural gas containing approximately 60 mol% CO₂ and 70 ppm H₂S, where high acid gas content and declining wellhead pressure impose constraints on pressure delivery, flow velocity, material selection, and lifecycle cost. Steady-state hydraulic simulations were performed using UniSim R490 to evaluate early- and mid-life production scenarios based on pressure drop and erosional velocity ratio (EVR) in accordance with API RP 14E. Comparative analysis of candidate pipeline diameters shows that a 12-inch trunkline maintains a minimum delivery pressure of 50 psig while keeping EVR below unity, thereby satisfying hydraulic and mechanical integrity requirements without excessive recompression. The integration of an onshore booster compressor mitigates reservoir pressure decline and sustains gas transport to the central processing facility. Material selection analysis identifies duplex stainless steel and SS 316 as technically viable options for CO₂-H₂S service under controlled operating conditions. Techno-economic evaluation indicates that the selected configuration minimizes total lifecycle cost relative to alternative designs, with estimated CAPEX of USD 228.43 million and annual OPEX of USD 142.19 million. The results demonstrate that integrated hydraulic optimization, sour-service material selection, and economic assessment provide a robust and economically optimized design approach for onshore sour gas pipeline systems.
