Abstract

Peningkatan jumlah kendaraan bermotor di Kota Payakumbuh berdampak pada menurunnya kinerja lalu lintas, khususnya di kawasan simpang bersinyal. Salah satu titik permasalahan adalah Simpang Kasda Jalan Soekarno Hatta dan Jalan Veteran yang kerap mengalami tundaan dan antrian panjang pada jam sibuk. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kondisi eksisting, mengevaluasi alternatif optimasi, serta memprediksi kinerja simpang hingga tahun 2029. Data diperoleh melalui survei lapangan meliputi volume lalu lintas, kecepatan, waktu siklus sinyal, dan kondisi geometrik. Pemodelan dilakukan menggunakan perangkat lunak PTV Vissim dengan kalibrasi dan validasi menggunakan uji Geoffrey E. Havers (GEH). Hasil analisis menunjukkan kondisi eksisting berada pada tingkat pelayanan LOS C dengan rata-rata antrian 31,43 meter dan tundaan 32,48 detik/kendaraan. Dua alternatif optimasi diuji, yaitu penyesuaian waktu sinyal dan penghapusan parkir on street. Alternatif kedua menghasilkan kinerja terbaik dengan peningkatan pelayanan menjadi LOS B, rata-rata antrian 10,49 meter, dan tundaan 14,42 detik/kendaraan. Prediksi hingga tahun 2029 menunjukkan tanpa optimasi simpang menurun menjadi LOS E, sedangkan dengan penerapan alternatif kedua, kinerja dapat dipertahankan pada LOS C.

Abstract

Kota Padang merupakan wilayah rawan tsunami dengan risiko evakuasi tinggi. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi kinerja jalur evakuasi tsunami pada Ruas Jalan Sawahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja jalur evakuasi tsunami pada Ruas Jalan Sawahan di Kota Padang dengan menganalisis kapasitas jalan, volume lalu lintas, preferensi moda transportasi masyarakat, serta memprediksi kinerja jalan pada saat terjadi tsunami.  Metode kuantitatif diterapkan melalui survei volume lalu lintas, inventarisasi rambu, dan kuesioner preferensi moda transportasi. Analisis menggunakan Manual Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia (MKJI) 1997 dengan simulasi dua skenario evakuasi: kondisi eksisting dan kondisi terburuk (parkir penuh kawasan komersial). Hasil menunjukkan mayoritas penduduk memilih sepeda motor (66,7%) dan mobil (25,2%) untuk evakuasi. Kapasitas jalan normal adalah 4.246,5 smp/jam (tingkat pelayanan C). Saat tsunami, kinerja turun menjadi tingkat D (skenario 1) dan E (skenario 2). Penerapan manajemen lalu lintas seperti pengubahan arah satu arah dan larangan parkir meningkatkan kembali kinerja ke tingkat C. Disimpulkan bahwa Ruas Jalan Sawahan belum optimal menampung arus evakuasi tsunami. Diperlukan intervensi manajemen lalu lintas sistematis dan pemeliharaan berkala untuk menjamin kelancaran evakuasi.

Abstract

Vocational education plays a strategic role in increasing the competitiveness of the national workforce. With a work-based learning approach, vocational high schools are expected to be able to bridge the needs of industry through an adaptive curriculum, competency certification, and direct partnerships with the business/industry world. This study aims to describe the procedure for implementing problem-based learning (PBL) in the light vehicle engine maintenance subject, to analyze the improvement in learning outcomes after PBL, and to analyze the extent of the improvement in learning outcomes after the implementation of PBL in the light vehicle engine maintenance subject at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Moyudan, a private vocational high school in Yogyakarta. This study uses a quantitative quasi-experimental approach (non-equivalent control group design). The PBL was tested on a sample of 60 students. Data were collected through tests and analyzed descriptively, independent t-test, and normalized gain. The results of this study showed a significant difference (sig. 0.004 < 0.05) between the PBL and control groups. The average N-Gain value is 0.54 (medium category). In addition, there is a significant increase in the average value of learning outcomes of class XI TKR B students who use the PBL model to 82, where previously the average value of students only reached 58. The results of this study explain that although both groups experienced an increase, the PBL group showed a greater and more consistent increase than the control group. It proves the significant effectiveness of the PBL in improving the students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

Traffic accidents involving students in educational areas remain a significant road-safety concern, particularly in areas with high traffic and limited safety facilities. This study aims to analyse student travel patterns, identify school travel routes, assess the need for safety facilities, and develop a Safe Routes to School (SRTS/RASS) concept along the Jalan KH. Dewantara corridor in Solok, Indonesia. Primary data were collected through road inventory surveys, pedestrian observations, and student interviews. Student travel patterns were analysed using an Origin–Destination (OD) matrix. The results show that the highest number of student trips originates from Zone 12 in Tanah Garam Urban Village, with 462 trips. Motorcycles dominate student transportation modes, accounting for approximately 60% of trips. The analysis identified six pedestrian routes, two bicycle routes, and one public transport corridor. The study proposes several safety improvements, including School Safety Zones (ZoSS), pelican crossings, sidewalk upgrades, bicycle lanes, and improved traffic signs and road markings to support safer mobility within the educational area.
