Abstract

Abstract

Basically entrepreneurship is how to form the mindset, attitude, and behavior of people to become an entrepreneur. In addition, giving soft-skill to the students is also one way to equip students so they can have the character as entrepreneur. Soft-skill can be obtained through learning that prioritizes the approach of field practice, so that students can have real work experience. Segers (2004) stated that one of the key characteristics of effective learning and assessment models is to focus on high skills or competencies relevant to their future work. The aim of this study is to find out the role of field study for improving sport entrepreneurship’s interest on physical education students. This quantitative study was conducted using a 5-point likert survey method consist of three dependent variables and one independent variable with 115 respondents from Physical Education students. The data showed that the value of R is 0.662, this indicates that there is a moderate or strong relationship between field study (X) on entrepreneurship interest (Y). R square value of 0.439 could be interpreted that the field study can affect entrepreneurial interest of 43.9% while the remaining 56.1% is explained by other variables not examined in this study. Through the result of this study, we could see that field study has role to enhance the entrepreneurship’s interest, though there are other factors affect, such as the curriculum and educators.

Abstract

National sports policies exist to regulate the sports system so that all can feel the benefits and no one feels disadvantaged. However, it is not yet known whether the existing policies are transparent and fair, so this quantitative descriptive study was conducted to determine the extent of the perception of sports practitioners regarding the application of the principles of transparency and fairness to national sports policies. With the survey method, 455 sports practitioners were selected through purposive sampling to provide answers through a questionnaire on the google form. The statement comes from the variables of transparency and fairness with asymmetric Likert as the answer choice, which is strongly agree to strongly disagree. The results show that 28.48% of sports practitioners strongly agree and 59.81% choose to agree that the principle of transparency has been applied to sports policy, although there are 11.02% of sports practitioners who disagree and 0.69% strongly disagree. On the other hand, 35.22% of sports practitioners strongly agree and 59.84% agree that the principle of fairness has been applied in the implementation of national sports policies. However, there are 4.84% of sports practitioners who disagree and 0.11% strongly disagree if the principle of fairness has been applied. It can be concluded that the principles of transparency and fairness in national sports policies have been felt by sports practitioners, one of which is through the ease of obtaining information related to sports policies to the distribution of awards and coaching.

The results showed that the training conditions of pplp boxing athletes during the Covid-19 pandemic in Palu city felt the influence of the Covid-19 pandemic from the beginning of appearing in Central Sulawesi in 2020. The obstacle to training pplp boxing athletes during the Covid-19 pandemic in Palu city is that during this pandemic, the government issued a very unprofitable policy for PPLP boxing athletes. The training strategies for boxing athletes during the covid-19 pandemic in the city of Palu can still train during the pandemic; they are restricting training grounds. Online media is a solution for PPLP Central Sulawesi boxing athletes; by using online media, they can carry out training through the program provided by the trainer and not carry out training in crowded places.

The student-athlete backgrounds were identified to be amateurs and professional categories in the following sports: badminton, basket, volleyball, athletics, sepak takraw, and kickboxing. Data collection used a self-rated questionnaire constructed in Google Forms through simple random sampling. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Pearson correlations by employing the IBM-SPSS, version 25.0. The findingsshowed that the student-athlete emotional temptations (M = 3.37; SD = 1.189), toughness in managing bad habits (M = 3.31; SD = 1.286), improper words in expressing swearwords(M = 1.85; SD = .932), physical and mental discomfort management (M = 2.85; SD = 1.280), and uncomfortable feeling when expressing the swearwords (M = 2.44; SD = 1.128) ranged from never to frequent category. Abstract

Psychological factors play an important role in improving athletes’ competitiveness and personal development. One of the most common conditions athletes experiences during matches is competitive anxiety. In this study we examined the relationship between competitive anxiety and psychological factors such as self-efficacy, self-confidence, and achievement motivation in futsal players. In this cross-sectional study we enrolled 40 participants (30 male and 10 female) from the UFO Star Abadi Futsal Wonosobo team. We used the General Self-Efficacy Scale–Schwarzer (GSES), Sports Confidence Questionnaire, Sports Achievement Motivation Test (SAMT), and Competitive State Anxiety Inventory-2 (CSAI-2) to collect data. Path analysis showed that self-efficacy and self-confidence were significantly correlated with achievement motivation (p < 0.05). Achievement motivation was also significantly correlated with competitive anxiety (p < 0.05). Self-efficacy and self-confidence had direct (p = 0.146 and p = 0.154, respectively) and indirect (p = 0.188 and 0.231, respectively) effects on competitive anxiety. This indicates that both self-efficacy and self-confidence had an indirect effect on the relationship between competitive anxiety and achievement motivation. Improving futsal athletes’ levels of self-efficacy, self-confidence, and achievement motivation would thus help to reduce their competitive anxiety.
