Abstract

Social behaviour is one of the aspects assessed in the process of applying the Curriculum 2013. Social behaviour includes aspects of honest, disciplined, courtesy, confident, caring, and responsibility. This study aims to develop an instrument of social behaviour through peer assessment on mathematics learning in junior high school that are valid and reliable. The research method used is development research with modified Sugiyono model. Content validity through expert judgment is tested using V index and its reliability with ICC. Small-scale trials were tested with pearson correlation and alpha cronbach for reliability. Large-scale trials were tested using Confirmatory Factor Analysis 2nd Order, and its reliability with the Construct Reliability formula. The results of the validation of experts obtained 35 items valid and reliable. A small-scale trial with 52 respondents, 27 valid grains with coefficient> 0.3 and reliability were 0.805. In large scale trials, 25 items have construct validity with estimated loading factor (λ)> 0.30. The test result using SEM meets Godness of Fit if RMSEA show value 0,017; GFI shows a value of 0.87, AGFI shows a value of 0.84 and RMSR shows a value of 0.041. Instrument expressed practical with the questionnaire score> 21. The results showed that the instrument of social attitudes through peer assessment developed valid and reliable.

Abstract

Teacher-centered learning makes students feel unmotivated to learning without the latest innovations in learning. Especially during Covid-19 virus pandemic that makes educational institutions have to dismiss students and make teachers need innovation with new online learning. There needs to be change in the learning process that can arouse student’s motivation. Motivation can affect students' critical thinking abilities. The purpose of this study is to analyze differences and enhancement of motivation and critical thinking abilities between group of students who apply of news based online learning compared with not as the control group. This research is a quasi-experimental research with a quantitative approach. The sample of this research are taken through randomize sampling. The results of the t-test showed significant different (sig. 0.01) of motivation between the classes that applied news based online learning with control classes. T-test results also showed significant different in critical thinking (sig. 0.00). N-Gain of motivation for the experimental group was 0.31 while the control group was 0.12. Meanwhile, N-Gain of critical thinking in the experimental group was 0.67, while the control group was 0.33. The results indicate that the application of the news-based online learning can increase students' motivation and critical thinking. Students who were taught with news-based online learning are more active in expressing their opinions and they are eager to participate in learning activities.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the level of validity, readability, feasibility and effectiveness of interactive e-books. The research method is Research and Development (R&D) according to the syntax of Borg and Gall without a dissemination step. In the needs analysis stage, the results of research to identify ferns that grow in the lowlands, medium plains and highlands of Central Java are used. The results of plant identification were used for e-book development. The result of the initial product readability trial was 86.22%, including very good criteria. The results of the material expert validation for the first stage obtained 77.05% and the second stage results were 84.33%. The result validation of media experts obtained a result of 99.07%. The results of the legibility, validity, and feasibility tests were then tested at a large-scale level. The results of the effectiveness test obtained the pretest average value of 22, 33 and the average posttest score of 88.44. The results of the paired sample t test show a significance of 0.000 <0.05, which means that there is a significant relationship before and after using the interactive e-book. The correlation strength is 0.848, indicating a very high correlation. The average value of the activities of students in the attitude aspect of 3.36 criteria is very good. The average value of activities on the aspects of skills during discussion and practicum is 3.38, very good criteria. It is concluded that the interactive e-book of ferns can be used as a valid, practical, and effective learning resource in SMA / MA and can then be disseminated. The correlation strength is 0.848, indicating a very high correlation. The average value of the activities of students in the attitude aspect of 3.36 criteria is very good.
