Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in the Naturaland Social Sciences (IPAS) subject "Styles around us" material in grade IV of SDNLampeuneurut. This condition is influenced by the use of non-contextual teachingmaterials, so that learning has not fully integrated science concepts with realphenomena and local wisdom in the student environment. This study aims todetermine the influence of the use of ethnoscience-based e-modules on studentlearning outcomes in the material "Styles around Us" in grade IV of elementaryschool. This study uses a quantitative approach with quasi-experimental design andnonequivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of 56 students,namely class IVA as the experimental class and class IVB as the control classselected through purposive sampling techniques. The research instrument is in theform of a multiple-choice test. Data analysis included N-Gain calculation, normalitytest, homogeneity test and hypothesis test using Independent Samples t-Test. Theresults showed that the average N-Gain of the experimental class was higher thanthat of the control class with a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05. Thus, it can beconcluded that the use of ethnoscience-based e-modules has a significant effect onstudent learning outcomes in the material "Styles Around Us" in grade IV ofelementary school.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of Montessori board game media on students' mathematics learning outcomes on multiplication material in grade III of SD Negeri 1 Bambi. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach. This study uses a Pre-Experimental design with a one group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study was all grade III students of SD Negeri 1 Bambi, Pidie Regency, totaling 30 people. In this study, researchers took samples using the probability sampling method with a total sampling technique. The sample in this study was all 30 grade III students at SD Negeri 1 Bambi. In the calculation of hypothesis testing carried out using the t-test based on the significance level of α = 0.05, that researchers obtained significant data results (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05 then H0 is rejected, Ha is accepted meaning there is an influence of the use of Montessori board game media on student learning outcomes. So based on the results of the study it can be concluded that There is an influence of the use of Montessori board game media on students' mathematics learning outcomes on multiplication material in grade III of SD Negeri 1 Bambi

Abstract

Low interest in reading among students is a common phenomenon. This occurs due to a lack of reading skills in students, especially in lower grades. One method to improve early reading skills is the phonics method. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the phonics method and the activities of teachers and students when implementing the phonics method. This type of research is Classroom Action Research with a qualitative statistical approach using the Kemmis and McTaggart model (1998). The subjects of this study were second-grade students who have low early reading skills and the second-grade homeroom teacher of Gue Gajah Elementary School, Aceh Besar Regency as an observer. The data collection technique used observation sheets and performance tests. The data analysis technique in this study used a percentage formula for teacher and student activities, a classical percentage formula for performance tests and there was a classical success indicator of ≥75%. The results of the data analysis showed that there was an increase in teacher activity of 86.11% from the previous 47.22%, student activity of 90% from the previous 65% and classical early reading skills of 90% from the previous 63%. Thus, it can be concluded that the phonics method can improve the reading skills of class II students of SD Negeri Gue Gajah, Aceh Besar Regency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa kelas V SD Negeri Bukit Baro, Aceh Besar yang diketahui dari hasil observasi dan wawancara awal dengan guru mata pelajaran IPAS. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa dan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar pada interaksi manusia dengan lingkungan kelas V SD Negeri Bukit Baro, Aceh Besar dengan menggunakan model Problem Based Learning. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan model yang dikembangkan oleh Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SD Negeri Bukit Baro, Aceh Besar dengan jumlah 18 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu menggunakan observasi dan tes hasil belajar. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siklus, dengan masing-masing siklus terdiri dari dua pertemuan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa penerapan model Problem Based Learning pada materi interaksi manusia dengan lingkungan kelas V SD Negeri Bukit Baro, Aceh Besar berhasil dilaksanakan dan mengalami peningkatan. Rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa pada siklus I adalah 78,4 dan terjadi peningkatan pada siklus II dengan rata-rata 90. Rata-rata hasil belajar pada siklus I adalah 66,5% dan terjadi peningkatan pada siklus II yaitu dengan rata-rata 86,5%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, maka penerapan model Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi interaksi manusia dengan lingkungan di kelas V SD Negeri Bukit Baro, Aceh Besar.

Abstract

Keterampilan membaca permulaan siswa sekolah dasar merupakan keterampilan yang mendasari untuk keterampilan membaca berikutnya. Keterampilan membaca permulaan khususnya kelas rendah seperti kelas I membutuhkan perhatian dan strategi pada saat proses pembelajaran berupa media. Media puzzle adalah salah satu media yang dapat membantu guru dalam kegiatan proses belajar keterampilan membaca permulaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktifitas siswa selama pembelajaran dan untuk mengetahui keterampilan membaca siswa setelah menerapkan media puzzle di kelas I SD Negeri 22 Banda Aceh. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini 20 siswa kelas I. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan tes. Berdasarkan hasil obervasi dan tes dengan siswa kelas I di SD Negeri 22 Banda Aceh, peneliti memperoleh hasil bahwa penerapan media puzzle dalam keterampilan membaca permulaan pada siswa cukup berpengaruh dan efektif untuk dilakukan, media puzzle juga akan berpengaruh pada perkembangan motorik halus anak, anak dapat memainkan secara individu maupun secara kelompok. Manfaat dan pengaruh permainan puzzle itu sangat besar dan sangat berpengaruh pada perkembangan motorik halusnya anak.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal dan wawancara dengan guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di SD Negeri 1 Pagar Air Kabupaten Aceh Besar, ditemukan bahwa sebagian besar siswa kelas IV kurang antusias dan kurang aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Hal ini ditandai dengan rendahnya kesiapan belajar siswa, seperti tampak lesu, mudah mengantuk, dan kurang mampu mempertahankan konsentrasi terhadap materi pembelajaran. Kondisi tersebut menunjukkan rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa yang berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian reward terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Pagar Air. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi eksperimen tipe nonequivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 55 siswa, dengan sampel terdiri atas 30 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 25 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol yang ditentukan melalui teknik sampling total. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test menggunakan instrumen tes pilihan ganda sebanyak 10 soal. Analisis data menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney menunjukkan nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian reward berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di SD Negeri 1 Pagar Air.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the importance of elementary school students’ social interaction skills, which still show variations, particularly in Science and Social Studies (IPAS) learning. Low participation, lack of empathy, and suboptimal cooperation among students indicate the need for a learning approach that focuses not only on cognitive aspects but also on social-emotional aspects. This study aimed to describe students’ social interaction skills through a social-emotional learning approach and to identify the factors that support and hinder the process. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The research subjects were teachers and sixth-grade students at SD Negeri Gue Gajah Aceh Besar. Data were collected through observation and interviews. Data analysis used the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that students’ social interaction skills through a social-emotional learning approach were categorized as very good, with an average percentage of 84.1%. The students’ social interaction skills in the aspects of conversation reached 89.9%, mutual understanding 82.5%, cooperation 83.7%, openness 82.1%, empathy 80%, providing support 80%, positive attitude 83.7%, and equality 92.5%. Although overall the results were categorized as very good, the aspects of empathy and providing support were relatively lower compared to the other aspects. Supporting factors of students’ social interaction included teacher role modeling, peer influence, teacher guidance and motivation, the desire to be accepted in groups, and caring attitudes. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors included students’ lack of self-confidence, the dominance of certain students in discussions, imitation of negative behavior, and a lack of mutual respect.

Abstract

This study is entitled "Analysis of Factors Causing Reading Difficulties in Upper-Grade Students at SD Negeri 1 Lambheu". The purpose of this study is to describe the forms of reading difficulties experienced by upper-grade students, identify the causal factors, and describe the roles of teachers and parents in overcoming these issues. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The research subjects consisted of three upper-grade students (grades IV, V, and VI) and three classroom teachers at SD Negeri 1 Lambheu. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the forms of reading difficulties experienced included difficulty understanding new vocabulary, difficulty reading long texts, and a lack of interest in reading materials with minimal illustrations. The main factors causing these difficulties are low concentration due to environmental distractions (such as gadgets and television), low learning motivation, as well as the lack of interesting reading materials at school and literacy support at home. In conclusion, reading difficulty in upper grades is a complex issue influenced by both internal and external factors, thus requiring strong synergy between the school and parents to address it
