Abstract

Student learning motivation is the main aspect in achieving student success. Based on the results of observations and interviews, student learning motivation at MTsN 8 Pidie and MTsN 11 Pidie is still relatively low, which has an impact on low student learning outcomes. The aim of this research is to determine the difference in increasing student learning outcomes and motivation on respiratory system material after implementing a STEM-based learning module containing Islamic values. The population of this study were all students in class VIII MTsN 8 Pidie and MTsN 11 Pidie. The samples were taken by purposive sampling, at MTsN 8 Pidie the research samples were class VIII.1 and class VIII.2. Meanwhile at MTsN 11 Pidie the research samples were class VIII.2 and class VIII.3. Data collection uses questionnaire instruments to measure learning motivation and uses test question instruments to measure student learning outcomes. The results of data analysis using a test (Mann-Whitney test) show that there are differences in motivation and learning outcomes, namely a significant value of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that there is a significant difference between the motivation and learning outcomes of control class and experimental class students. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an increase in learning outcomes and student motivation by implementing STEM-based modules with Islamic values

Abstract

Many schools face difficulties in implementing science education through a practicum due to insufficient laboratory facilities and bureaucratic constraints, which hinder students' hands-on learning. To address such constraints, a new web-based remote laboratory, Remote STEM (R-STEM) platform, was introduced by the STEM Research Center. This study explores using R-STEM in learning magnetic induction using the ISLE-based STEM approach with Student Activity Sheets (LKPD) to enhance engagement. A mixed-methods research design was utilized, and 72 high school students underwent a set of experiments according to the ISLE cycle, from observations to pattern detection, explanation, predictions, and experimentation verification. The results show a high rate of students’ understanding of magnetic induction, with a score in LKPD evaluation at 84%, a rate of implementation at 93%, and a score in learning activity alignment at 78.5%. In addition, pretest and posttest tests showed a learning outcome increase by 71%. This study contributes to the broader scientific educational community by demonstrating that remote laboratories can be effective in enhancing STEM learning, particularly in schools with fewer laboratory facilities.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to increase students' CTS and CS about quantity and unit material using ethnoscience-based inquiry learning. The study utilized a non-equivalent control group design with two classes: experimental and control. The sample in this study were students of class X IPA 7 and X IPA 8, who were chosen using purposive sampling procedures. The research sample comprised 71 students. The research data was gathered using 15 multiple-choice questions, a CTS questionnaire, and a CS questionnaire. Normality, homogeneity, the t-test, and correlation tests were employed to analyze the data. Based on the research findings, students' CTS and CS rose in the experimental class, with N-gain values of 0.71 (high) and 0.60 (medium). The experimental and control courses showed significant differences in students' CTS and CS outcomes (Sig. < 0.05). Aside from that, there is a very strong correlation between students' CTS and CS results in learning, with r = 0.938. It may be concluded that using an ethnoscience-based inquiry paradigm can help students enhance their CTS and CS. Thus, it is possible to infer that ethnoscience-based inquiry learning may increase students' CTS and students' CS. There is a very strong correlation between CTS and students' CS.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the management of teaching and educational staff in improving student quality. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis in several schools. The findings indicate that the management of educational personnel directly affects students’ academic and character development. However, challenges such as lack of training, improper placement, and weak evaluation systems remain significant obstacles. This study recommends the need for strategic planning and ongoing professional development to ensure that educational human resource management effectively supports high-quality learning processes. Keywords: Teaching and Educational Personnel, Student Quality, Management

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the challenges of Islamic education governance in Parlampungan village, Mandailing Natal 3T regions (Frontier, Outermost, and Disadvantaged), focusing on infrastructure, human resources, policy implementation, and the conflict between local values and national education approaches. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, utilizing literature reviews and case studies of Islamic educational institutions in 3T areas. The findings reveal systemic limitations, including inadequate facilities, shortage of qualified teachers, weak managerial capacity, and lack of contextualized policy support. Moreover, the tension between local cultural values and the standardized national curriculum poses a significant challenge, potentially undermining students' cultural identities. The study suggests the need for adaptive, community-based governance reforms, incorporating contextual curriculum development and capacity building for educators. These findings highlight the importance of an Islamic education governance model that is not only administratively accountable but also socially and culturally relevant to the unique realities of 3T regions.

Abstract

Sukuk investment is significant in overcoming financial problems in the future and has an impact on global financial markets. This study aims to determine the contribution of international recognition through Sukuk investment interest among Generation Z by examining the effect of financial literacy and financial management behavior on Sukuk investment interest, with lifestyle as a moderating variable. This research uses a quantitative approach with primary data type. The sampling technique applies a non-probability sampling method with a purposive sampling type to obtain 400 respondents. Data analysis and hypothesis testing in this study apply the Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM), with the software used in the form of Ms. Excel and Smart PLS. Based on the analysis, the results show that the financial literacy of Generation Z has a positive and significant effect on Sukuk's investment interest. Additionally, the financial management behavior of Generation Z has a positive and significant effect on Sukuk's investment interest. Furthermore, lifestyle can moderate the impact of financial literacy on Sukuk investment interest but cannot reconcile the effect of financial management behavior on investment interest.

Abstract

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a developmental disorder that significantly impacts communication, social interaction, and behavior in children, often leading to withdrawal, repetitive behaviors, and difficulties with eye contact. Traditional diagnostic methods primarily relied on behavioral assessments, which have proven insufficient in accuracy. This study aims to enhance ASD diagnosis by employing Electroencephalography (EEG) as an objective marker to differentiate between individuals with ASD and neurotypical individuals. Utilizing a dataset from King Abdulaziz University comprising 16 children—4 neurotypical and 12 with ASD—this research implements preprocessing techniques such as Independent Component Analysis (ICA) to eliminate noise and artifacts from EEG signals. Following this, Wavelet Packet Decomposition (WPD) is applied at three levels to improve signal resolution. Statistical features including mean, variance, skewness, and kurtosis are extracted for classification purposes. The Random Forest (RF) method is then employed for classification, achieving an accuracy of 76.8%. However, classification errors predominantly arise from the imbalance in the dataset, with more data available for ASD subjects compared to neurotypical subjects. The findings reveal significant differences in statistical features between the two groups, indicating the potential of EEG technology and computational algorithms in developing a more accurate and objective ASD diagnosis system. This research contributes valuable insights for early intervention strategies and future studies aimed at improving diagnostic methodologies for children with autism.
