The researcher wanted to find out whether or not Think-Pair-Share Technique can increase the students speaking skill and to analyze the classroom situation when the Think-Pair-Share Technique is implemented in speaking class. This research used Classroom Action Research (CAR) and composed for two or more cycles then it observed and evaluated to identify all facts including the success and the failure of the action. It means that the action should be stopped or continued and revised to the next cycle based on the selected criteria of success. After the implementation of Think-Pair-Share Technique in every cycle, the students’ speaking score were getting better. It can be seen from the result of students averagescore Cycle 1 was 65.17 and Cycle 2 was 74.81. It can be concluded that Think-Pair-Share Technique canincrease students’active involvement in their speaking ability.

Abstract

Command style is a training method that involves direct instruction from the coach to the player with a focus on specific technique control and correction. Meanwhile, shooting in soccer refers to the player's ability to shoot towards the goal with the aim of scoring a goal. This study aims to analyze the effect of command style on shooting ability in soccer games in students at SMPN 2 Medan. This study used an experimental method with a pretest-posttest group design. The sample used was grade VIII students consisting of two groups, namely the experimental group who were given treatment in the form of training using the command style, and the control group who did not receive the treatment. Data were collected through shooting skills tests before and after treatment. The results of the data analysis showed that there was a significant increase in shooting ability in the experimental group using the command style compared to the control group. These findings indicate that the application of the command style in soccer training can improve students' shooting skills. This study makes an important contribution to developing more effective training methods to improve soccer technique skills, especially in the shooting aspect, in junior high school students.

Abstract

This research is based on the urgency of utilizing technology in education, which has now become a necessity rather than relying on traditional methods that are still widely used in teaching information systems students. In the context of using English as a global communication tool in the digital era, conventional teaching approaches are considered less effective in keeping up with the rapid development of information. Therefore, this study explores the implication of Artificial Intelligence (AI) based learning media in improving students’ speaking skills through Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL) at STIKOM Tunas Bangsa. The research employs a qualitative –descriptive method involving fourth-semester students who actively use AI-powered mobile applications, such as speech recognition and virtual conversation tools. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and observations to captured students’ perspectives on the effectiveness, accessibility, and challenges of using AI in language learning. Findings reveal that most students perceive AI-based media as motivating and helpful in enhancing pronunciation, fluency and confidence. Additionally , this study provides insights into the sociolinguistic evolution of language use by examining how students interact with technological advancements and adapt to global communication demands. The results suggest that AI-integrated MALL can significantly support speaking skill development and create a more personalized, effective, and engaging learning environment.
