Abstract

Abstact : The main objective of this study was to discuss the eufemism of the uttereances in Air Tiris society. In this research, the data of this reasearchwas the society who lived in Air Tiris. The data that writer has writen in this research was the sentences in containing eufemism. The data colletion techniqe about the eufemism of the utterances in Air Tiris Society was collected by interviw technique and recording technique by searching for sentences that use eufemism in the utterances of Air Tiris society. This method is operationalized by collecting the the data that is relevant to the writing problem. The data analysis technique . the descrivtive analysis technique is used to describe from and function of eufemism of the utterances in Air Tiris society. The data if this study amounted to 30 data which consist of 7 data in the words form, 17 data in the phrases form, 4 data in the clauses and 4 data avoiding words that are considered normal, 9 data to cover shyness, 1 data showed that he is an educated person and and 16 data avoided words that sound less good.Key words: eufemism

Abstract

ABSTRACT: This research is entitled Endocentric Phrases in Yahoo Articles in February 2017. This study aims to describe the types of endocentric phrases and describe the endocentric phrase functions contained in the February 2017 edition of Yahoo. The method used is descriptive analysis method with a qualitative approach. The research data is an endocentric phrase in the February 2017 edition of Yahoo which numbered 206. The results of the study found were (1) 113 coordinative endocentric phrases, (2) 45 attribute-type endocentric phrases, (3) 48 apositive endocentric phrases. In addition, the syntactic function is occupied by endocentric phrases. These functions include: (1) 66 endocentric phrases that occupy the function of the subject, (2) 6 endocentric phrases that occupy the prediket function, (3) 61 endocentric phrases that occupy object functions, (4) 57 endocentric phrases that occupy the information function, (5) 16 endocentric phrases that occupy complementary functions.  Key Words: Syntax, Syntactic Functions, Phrases, Articles, Yahoo

Abstract

Abstract: This study examines the use of abusive language in the Sakai language in Minas District, Siak Regency. The technique of collecting data is done by interviewing, recording, and recording the utterances spoken by the informant. Data were analyzed to describe crude language in the form, form, reference, and use. In this study the rough language in the Sakai language used by the Minas community in the form of forms is divided into words, phrases, and clauses. Based on rough language references in the Sakai language, Minas Subdistrict is distinguished by circumstances, animals, objects, body parts, spirits, and activities.Key Words: Abusive language, form, reference, situation.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: This research talked about forms and rhyme of umpasa or maxim on ceremony for the death people who had been saur matua (people whose all their children already got merried) on Tobanese people who lived at Nagasaribu, Lintongnihuta Subdistric, Humbang Hasundutan Regency. This research used kualitative and descriptive metode which was aimed to describe the problem based on reality. This research used death ceremony process for saur matua as the object by using literally datas by doing some interview and classifying the datas which were got from the video of the ceremony. This research finaly got the conclusion that there instruction from umpasa, diksi from umpasa and three forms of umpasa, they were: umpasa with two lines,with the second last umpasa with four lines and the last umpasa with six lines. While there were four roles of umpasa, they were: religious, morality, kinship, conference. And based on the analysis of the data s there were eight rhymes that found on the ceremony, they were: start middle rhyme, finish rhyme, incomplete rhyme, cluster rhyme, uneven rhyme, interlude rhyme, clasp rhyme.Keywords: form umpasa, rhyme

Abstract

Abstrack: This research examines the ability to write text description of students of class VII SMPN 23 Pekanbaru. This study aims to find and describe the ability to write text description of students of class VII SMPN 23 Pekanbaru. This research is quantitative descriptive. The data of this research is the data of the result of doing the test (answer) the ability to write text description of the students of class VII SMPN 23 Pekanbaru. The instrument in this research is in the form of essay test about the ability to write text description of the students of class VII SMPN 23 Pekanbaru. Data collection is done by test technique. The population in this study as many as 143 students with the determination of a full sample of 105 students. Data were analyzed by quantitative descriptive method through kruskall wallis test. The validity of data is obtained through data validation method. The results of this study seen from the test of the ability to write text description of students class VII SMPN 23 Pekanbaru. Judging from the ability to write text description of the students of grade VII SMPN 23 Pekanbaru included in the medium category with an average value of 65.81.Keywords : Ability, Writing, Description Text

Abstract

Abstract: This study titled Direktive Speech Acts in the Film of the Dreamer By Andrea Hirata. This study aims to analyze the categories and meanings of in the Film Direktive Speech Acts in the Film of the Dreamer By Andrea Hirata. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The object of this research is directive speech acts. The data source that is the object of this research is a speech by a character in the film of the dreamer by Andrea Hirata.The film pemimpi is an Indonesian film released in 2009 which was adapted from the tetralogy of the novel laskar pelangi and directed by Riri Riza with producer Mira Lesmana. The film airs in cinemas in Indonesia starting December 17, 2009. The Dreamer movie is 120 minutes long. The Dreamer will be the opening film at the Jakarta International Film Festival (Jiffest) 2009 on December 4, 2009. The Dreamer is the second best-selling film in 2009 with a total audience of 1.9 million people. To obtain research data the author conducted a library data observation technique in the speech indicated to contain the category and meaning of directive speech acts. The data of this study amounted to 93 data. Abstract

Abstract: This research is to describe the form of comparison in Tere Liye's Hafalan Shalat Delisa novel and describe the meaning of the comparative form in Tere Liye's novel Hafalan Shalat Delisa. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data obtained using reading techniques and note taking techniques. Then, the data is analyzed by reading the written text first then recording the parts according to the problems to be studied using a small book. From the data obtained in the novel Hafalan Shalat Delisa by Tere Liye, comparative forms of comparison are found in the form of parables which have characteristics such as: like, like, like and like. A figure of speech that has characteristics such as: door leaf, beach lip, blue lips, green eyes, calm face, enclosing the city, breaking down the walls of the heart, calm face, green eyes lit, golden hearts, grilling meaning. Pengasanan that has characteristics: moving, swaying, vibrating, swallowed, wrapping, grilling, white-winged bicycle, softening, preying, clumping, landing gracefully, waving, soft, licking, melting, being hit. Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research is to describe the types of Central Java Solo dialect pronomina. The data is formed the informant’s pronouncement as personal prononima, direction pronomina and introgative pronomina on Central Java Solo dialect. This reseach is qualitative reseach using descriptive method. Thetecnique are interviewing, taking notes, and recording. The data were analyzed by using pronomina data which is already gathered, observed the data, clasified the types of pronomina, selected and grouped the data, analyzed and summarized the data. The result shows that the pronomina of Central Java are persona pronomina, direction pronomina and introgative pronomina. Persona pronomina are first pronomina, second pronomina and third pronomina which is devided by singular and plural types. The examples of persona pronomina Central Java Solo dialect are aku, kulo, dhewe’e, kowe, sampeyan, panjenengan, kowe kabeh, panjenengan sedoyo, dhe’e, wong iku dan tiang niku.While the direction pronomina are devided as a public direction pronomina, place direction pronomina, and things direction pronomina. The examples of direction pronomina Central Java Solo dialect are iki, iku, niki, niku, kene, kono, ngene, ngono, ngeten, and ngono. The examples of introgative pronomina Central Java Solo dialect are iki, iku, niki, niku, kene, kono, ngene, ngono, ngeten, dan ngoten. Meanwhile, the intogative pronomina are opo, nopo, sopo, sinten, ngopo, kenging nopo, piro, pinten, kepiye, pripun, endi, pundi, and kapan.Key words: pronomina, persona pronomina, direction pronomina, introgative pronomina.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe interogative sentences of Batak Toba language which includes (1) types of interogative sentences, (2) markers of interogative sentences. This research is a descriptive research. The subject of this study is the Turi-turian text of Ni Si Jonaha. The object of this study is the interogative sentences contained in Turi-turian Ni Si Jonaha. Data of this study were obtained by reading and recording techniques. The data were analyzed by (1) classifying them based on types and markers of the interrogative sentences (2) analyzing them with reference to the theory used in accordance with the synthesis (3) describing and interpreting them based on the research findings, and (4) writing a report on analysis findings called a project paper. The research findings are as follows; (1) interrogative sentences ask for recognition of "olo" (yes) or "indaong" (not), or "olo" (yes) or "inda" (not) responses. Markers of this type of interrogative sentences include: (a) intonation-categorized markers and (b) grammatical marker by adding do particle (2) interrogative sentences ask for one of sentence elements. The markers of this type of interrogative sentences are lexical markers with the question words: (aha aha ma, aha do, he, ise, dia, sadia, and andigan) (3) interrogative sentences ask for 'alasan' (reasoning). The marker of interrogative sentence of this type are lexical markers in the form of question words: beasa or boasa (4) interrogative sentences ask for an answer in the form of an opinion (regarding the question asked). The interrogative sentence marker of this type is a lexical marker in the form of a question word: beha (5) Interrogative sentences that present interrogative sentence markers of this type are lexical markers with a negative word form: so or inda followed by a statement.Keywords: Interrogative Sentence, Marker, Turi-turian Ni Si Jonaha, Batak Toba Language

Abstract

Abstract: This research was titled Expressive Speech in Dewi Lestari's Novel Kertas Boat. This study aims to analyze expressive speech acts in Dewi Lestari's novel paper boat on the form and meaning contained in the novel. The method used is descriptive analysis method with a qualitative approach. In this study, the authors used two techniques, namely documentation or library techniques and data collection techniques by reading Dewi Lestari's novel KapalKertas as a source of data as a whole, marking and underlining each speech in accordance with the form and meaning of expressive speech acts, classifying forms and meanings expressive speeches in Dewi Lestari's novel PerahuKertas, analyzing and describing the form of expressive speech acts and the meaning of expressive speech acts in Dewi Lestari's paper boat novel. The results of this study indicate that the first form of expressive speech acts in Dewi Lestari's paper boat novel, the form of this study amounts to 123 data, from the results of the research the authors found in the form and meaning of expressive speech acts in the form of expressive speech acts in the form of asking sorry consists of twenty-five data, states congratulations consists of fourteen data, say greetings consist of seven data, say thank you consists of thirty one data, pleasure consists of five data, receive consists of six data, refuse consists of seven data , forgiveness consists of five data, blame consists of six data, praise consists of seventeen data. The two meanings of expressive speech acts in Dewi Lestari's paper boat novel (a) the meaning of forgiveness / regret, (b) the meaning of salvation, (c) the meaning of greeting and respect, (d) the meaning of thanks, (e) the meaning of happy, satisfied, and fondness, (e) meaning of getting, taking (f) meaning of rejecting / not, (g) meaning of good, (h) Meaning of seeing, (i) meaning of waw, wow.Key Words: Expressive Speech Acts, Expressive Speech Acts, The Meaning Of Expressive Speech Acts.
