Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of tenant revitalization and product innovation on customer satisfaction of KM Kelud ship of PT. XYZ. Tenant revitalization includes improving physical conditions, modernizing facilities, arranging layouts, and increasing comfort and security of tenant areas. Product innovation includes providing new services such as wifi, study on board, tour on board, city on board, and event meeting charter aimed at improving customer experience during sailing. The research method uses a quantitative approach with data collection through questionnaires given to 180 respondents of KM Kelud passengers serving the Jakarta-Batam-Medan route during the 2024 NATARU period. Data analysis uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results of the study show that tenant revitalization and product innovation have a significant effect partially and simultaneously on customer satisfaction. The research model explains 99.4% of the variation in customer satisfaction. The practical implications of this study provide recommendations to PT. XYZ to continue improving service quality through tenant revitalization and product innovation programs to maintain customer loyalty and competitiveness in the Indonesian maritime transportation industry.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of artificial intelligence (AI)-based service quality and digital customer experience in strengthening customer loyalty, both directly and indirectly through brand equity mediation in e-logistics companies in Indonesia. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using a Literature Review model based on 50 relevant scientific articles obtained from national SINTA-indexed journals and reputable international databases such as Scopus. The study synthesizes previous research findings to understand consumer behavior dynamics in the rapidly growing digital logistics industry. The findings indicate that service quality has a significant influence on brand equity and customer loyalty in e-logistics companies in Indonesia. Digital customer experience also positively affects both brand equity and customer loyalty. In addition, brand equity is proven to have a strong influence on customer loyalty, indicating that a positive brand image and customer trust contribute to long-term customer commitment. The study further reveals that brand equity mediates the relationship between service quality and customer loyalty, as well as between digital customer experience and customer loyalty. These findings highlight the importance of improving AI-based service quality, optimizing digital platforms, and strengthening brand equity strategies to maintain customer loyalty and competitiveness in Indonesia’s e-logistics industry.

Abstract

Abstract

Fumigation is normally discussed as a phytosanitary compliance activity, but in export operations its duration, documentation, and coordination can directly determine logistics reliability. This study analyzes how fumigation procedures implemented by PT Prana Argentum Corporation in the Tanjung Perak Port logistics environment affect export lead time and contribute to logistics performance. The research used a descriptive qualitative design conducted from February to July 2025. Primary evidence was obtained through field observation and semi-structured interviews with key fumigation and logistics personnel at operational, supervisory, and managerial levels, while secondary evidence was drawn from company documentation and relevant literature. Data were analyzed through qualitative reduction, display, interpretation, and triangulation across interviews, observations, documents, and theoretical perspectives. The findings show that fumigation is an integrated sequence consisting of document and commodity verification, site and equipment preparation, sealing and fumigant application, exposure monitoring, aeration or gas clearance, and certification. The process requires a substantial time allocation and must therefore be embedded in shipment planning before port closing time. Delay risks arise from incomplete documents, schedule changes, weather, limited treatment space and equipment, transporter or port congestion, and weak inter-organizational coordination. Properly planned fumigation reduces cargo rejection and re-treatment risk, supports customs and quarantine document readiness, limits demurrage and storage exposure, and strengthens buyer confidence. The study proposes early scheduling, adequate buffer time, service-level agreements, vendor and resource readiness, routine training, and integrated digital monitoring as practical mechanisms for improving fumigation-integrated export logistics.
