Abstract

The increasing demand and lifestyle changes have made shopping centers a primary destination for leisure, driving a surge in visits and compelling tenants to adapt continuously to these changes. However, tenant supervisors vary in their capacity to manage their businesses effectively amid this influx. This study explores how cognitive style, global mindset, and self-control predict organizational capacity in managing businesses in response to current trends. Using an exploratory quantitative design, the PLS-SEM procedure was employed to analyze data collected from 180 tenant leaders at the largest shopping center in Makassar, Indonesia. The findings confirm the significance of all proposed hypotheses, except for the influence of cognitive style on organizational capacity. This research highlights that tenant leaders must develop a strong understanding of global issues and exhibit self-restraint, particularly through an internal locus of control, to navigate ongoing changes effectively.

Abstract

This study investigates factors influencing AI adoption in education, focusing on the roles of Digital Touchpoints, Tech Savvy, and knowledge-sharing practices among students and instructors. Using an explanatory quantitative design, data were collected from 213 business students through a digital survey. The model measures Digital Touchpoints, Tech Savvy, Gen. AI Adoption, Instructor KS, and Student KS, with a 7-point Likert scale used for responses. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics and PLS-SEM for model evaluation and hypothesis testing. The results show that Digital Touchpoints positively impact both Gen. AI Adoption and Tech Savvy, with Tech Savvy further enhancing AI adoption. Student KS significantly moderates the Digital Touchpoints-Tech Savvy relationship, whereas Instructor KS does not. Mediation analysis reveals that Tech Savvy mediates the effect of Digital Touchpoints on Gen. AI Adoption, though mediated moderation effects are not significant. These findings underscore the importance of digital engagement and peer interactions in promoting tech skills and AI adoption in educational settings.

Abstract

Article 1 paragraph 2 of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia states that sovereignty is in the hands of the people. In the concept of a democratic state, the people have the sovereignty to choose state leaders to realize the ideals of the Indonesian state, one of which is to educate the nation's life and prosper its people. Elections and Pilkada are the main gateways for implementing sovereignty as mandated by the Constitution. However, the implementation of elections and regional elections which are often marred by the many frauds and deviations in practice makes the existence of the people's sovereignty questioned. The legal issues studied in this study are realizing people's sovereignty in regional head elections as well as the concept of regional head elections in a democratic country. The results of the research show that the new people's sovereignty will really be realized when the people are free in choosing, the regional election organizers maintain neutrality so that the regional elections are far from fraudulent in short true sovereignty will be realized if the principle of fairness and justice is successfully implemented.

Abstract

The existence of the DPD as one of the representative institutions at the central level, to date, its duties and authority as well as its functions are unclear and do not have a clear impact on the institutions it represents. This is different from the DPR, which is explicitly stated in the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, for example regarding its supervisory function, budget function and legislative function, which makes the DPR able to exist in parliament. Thus, an in-depth study is needed to confirm the position and function of the DPD so that it is not just an institution that spends a lot of its budget on salaries but whose performance is unclear and does not provide any insight into the institution or electoral district where the members come from. In this research, input was obtained, namely to revise the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia to strengthen the function of the DPD or remove the DPD from state institutions because it is no longer effective.

Abstract

Pain assessment is a critical aspect of delivering quality care, particularly in intensive care units (ICU). Undetected and poorly managed pain can negatively impact patient recovery. One of the commonly used pain assessment methods for non-verbal patients is the FLACC scale (Face, Legs, Activity, Cry, Consolability). This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of FLACC pain assessment education through Zoom media on the assessment skills of ICU nurses at Kapuas B RSUD Dr. Saiful Anwar, East Java Province. The research employs a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design using the one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consists of 27 ICU nurses selected through total sampling. The results showed that before the education intervention, most nurses (74.1%) were deemed incompetent in pain assessment skills. After the intervention, the majority of nurses (85.2%) were assessed as competent. Statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon test indicated a significant difference in assessment skills before and after the education intervention (Z = -4.000; Asymp. Sig. = 0.000). These findings demonstrate that providing education through Zoom is effective in improving the assessment skills of nurses in using the FLACC scale to evaluate patient pain in the ICU. Continuous education for healthcare professionals, particularly ICU nurses, is crucial to enhance pain assessment skills and support optimal patient care. Online education methods, such as via Zoom, prove to be an efficient alternative in certain circumstances.
