Abstract

AbstractMathematical disposition and mathematical connections knowledge is part of mathematics learning objectives in Curriculum. Subjects in research is students of class XII AK SMK N 1 Kelam Permai. This pedagogical action research takes the subject of the study chosen purposively. The research used in this research is pedagogical action research. Two cycles with focus stage are taken into consideration in determining and planning the research, followed by look, think, and action. RPP compiled in this research is about the material sequence and arithmetic series. This RPP is prepared based on the Curriculum 2013 standard. Development of students' mathematical dispositions and connections can be done well. The initial mathematical disposition of students before using the discovery learning model is categorized as being. Early mathematical connection ability of students before using discovery learning model based on pre-test value is categorized as low. The learning process is done very well. Learning with the discovery learning model is possible to apply to schools implementing the 2013 curriculum. Learning with discovery learning model should be an alternative choice of teachers. Learning with the discovery learning model is not limited to arithmetic and sequence material only.Keywords:mathematical disposition, mathematical connections, discovery learning, mathematical knowledge.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research was to describe the potency of students creative thinking in solving mathematical problems in geometry based on Wallas Theory in class VII SMP N 3 Batu Ampar viewed based on their ability level. The form of research used to descriptive research with qualitative data. The subjects in this research were six students of class VII A. Data collection methods obtained from written tests to determine students creative thinking processes; the final grade of mathematics in an odd semester and the opinion of mathematics teacher to find out the level of mathematical ability of students; and interviews to bring out the potency for more considerable creative skill. This research indicated that R1 students have high skill, R2 has moderate strength, and R3 has low ability. This research showed that the process of creative thinking include stages of expressing ideas in their sentences, looking back and planning the concepts of problem-solving, solving the problems based on the ideas has they are made, and rechecking their answer. The result of the research also showed that each student has different potency for creative thinking.Keywords: Creative Thinking Potency, Mathematical Problem Solving, Wallas Theory

Abstract

AbstractThe research was conducted because of there was tendency of textbooks that became the reference when teaching had aspects of mathematical comunication that were not optimal where as teachers and students used the textbooks.The purpose of this study is to explain the coherence between the presentation of aspects of communication, mathematical conceptual understanding in material operation numbers (arithmetic) and expressions in the junior high school textbooks. The coherence between the presentation of aspects of communication and mathematical conceptual understanding in mathematics textbook to present the correct concepts and the correct communication that is arranged consistently and thoroughly. This research method is a descriptive method, the main form of this study is interrelationshipstudies, there are three books that will be examined with the instrument used in this study is the assessment rubric. The assessment rubric contains aspects of communication coherence and conceptual understanding in the textbook. The coherence aspect of mathematical communication in thehighest mathematical textbooks is 75% whereas the Coherence between the dimensions of mathematical communication and conceptual understanding in mathematics textbooks has a presentation of research results <70%, it’s cause of unavailabletextbooks with clear connection and continuous coherence between the correct communication and the correct concept. Keywords:Coherence, Mathematic Communication,  Conceptual understanding Mathematic

Abstract

AbstractStudent’s creative thinking ability is essential to be developed in national education practice. In fact, student’s creative thinking ability didn’t get serious attention even in school and national level. Even though, creative thinking is one of  standards that have been stated in every curriculum. So, this study aimed to explain student’s creative thinking ability to solve Geometric Dissection puzzle in dissecting rectangle into square. The research method was descriptive and research design was survey. The subject of this research was 44 students of VIII E SMP Negeri 21 Pontianak. The result showed that there were 4 of 5 levels of student’s creative thinking ability. There were 16 (36,36%) students with “the most creative” thinking level, 20 (45,45%) students with “creative” thinking level, 7 (15,91%) students with “moderate creative” thinking level, and 1 (2,27%) students with “not creative” thinking level. In fluency aspect of creative thinking, there were 36 (82%) students qualify and 8 (18%) students didn’t. In flexibility aspect of creative thinking, there were 16 (36%) students qualify and 28 (64%) students didn’t. In originality aspect of creative thinking, there were 43 (98%) students qualify and 1 (2%) students didn’t. Keywords: Creative thinking ability, Geometric Dissections, Rectangle to square

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to find out the development of mathematical disposition and conceptual understanding of student related the concept of trigonometric comparison values of special angels material after giving them learning using didactical anticipation approach in Senior High School 1 Sambas in the academic year 2015/2016. The method used is pedagogical action research that adapts the Stringer model with two cycles. The subject in this research is the students of grade XI Science 3 Senior High School 1 Sambas as much as one class chosen purposively. Instruments used to collect data in this research consisted of test questions to measure students mathematical conceptual understanding, and questionnaires to find out mathematical disposition of students giving them learning using didactical anticipation approach. Based on data analysis, the result are: 1) mathematical disposition increased with average of 79.73 which was categorized as advanced; 2) mathematical conceptual understanding increased with average of 84.84 which was categorized as advanced; 3) steps of learning process 100% done that include preliminary 3.63, core activities 3.8, and closing activities 3.5, this categorized very well with an overall average rating of 3.73. Keywords   :  Mathematical Disposition, Mathematical Conceptual Understanding, Didactical Anticipation

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis (KKM) siswa melalui pembelajaran matematika menggunakan pendekatan saintifik. Rancangan quasi-experimental digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Eksperimen ini secara random assigment melibatkan one group pretes-posttest design. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah soal tes awal dan tes akhir.  Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dengan taraf nyata 5% antara perkembangan KKM siswa dengan tingkat kemampuan awal yang berbeda (tinggi, tengah, bawah) setelah masing-masing dari mereka diberikan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan saintifik. Hasilnya menunjukan bahwa pendekatan saintifik dalam pembelajaran matematika pada kelompok atas menghasilkan gain KKM (11,19) lebih besar dari pada kelompok sedang (6,06) dan bawah (2,27).   Kata kunci: Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis, Pendekatan Saintifik, Gain.   Abstract: This research aims to develop the mathematical communication ability (KKM) students through the learning of mathematics using a scientific approach. The design of quasi-experimental used in this research. This experiment randomly assigment involving one group pretest-posttest design.  Data collection tool used in this research is a matter of preliminary tests and final tests. The result anlysis of data show that, there are significant differences with 5% significance level between the development of KKM students with different levels of prior knowledge (high, middle, bottom) after each of them was given learning with scientific approach. The result shows that the scientific approach to learning mathematics in the top group produces gain KKM (11.19) is greater than the moderate group (6.06) and lower group (2.27). Abstract

This research illustrates that mathematical communication skills are considered the most needed abilities currently supported by other mathematical abilities, one of which is mathematical spatial abilities. This research aims to characterize the communication and mathematical visualization abilities of students at Nurul Islam Middle School, Sungai Kakap, Kubu Raya. Mixed methods, combining quantitative and qualitative techniques, were used in this research. Data was collected through interviews with 23 class VIII A students and analysis of their tests. The results show that the majority of students have moderate to low mathematical and spatial communication skills. Students' effective ability to convey understanding of mathematical concepts and mathematical spatial competence in flat shapes is among the lowest. This research reveals a relationship between strong mathematical communication skills and high spatial abilities, and vice versa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe the creative thinking process skills of SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Ambawang students in solving contextual problems related to the topic of ratios based on Wallas' theory. The research method used is descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The research instruments used were creative thinking tests and interview guidelines. The data sources used were the answers to students' creative thinking tests and the results of interviews with students by researchers. This study reveals about students' creative thinking processes with three criteria for thinking levels, namely students with high, medium and low abilities. Of the 22 students, 23% were at a high creative thinking level, 32% were at a moderate creative thinking level and 45% were at a low creative thinking level. Students who are at a high level of creative thinking are able to go through all stages of creative thinking based on Wallas, at an intermediate level they are able to go through the Wallas creative thinking stage but are constrained in verification and do not find more than one way of solving it, while students at a low level do not go through the preparation stage and verification but find creative ways to solve problems.

Abstract

This dedication began with discussions between lecturers at two institutions discussing independent learning which was proclaimed by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education to be precise in February 2022 with a discussion agreement in the form of understanding the new curriculum and working together to develop learning tools by adapting the characteristics of the new curriculum. One of the goals that needs to be presented in learning tools is the inclusion of strengthening character education in an effort to build the realization of the Pancasila profile and its six dimensions. This service was held at UNU West Kalimantan with the form of implementation in the form of assistance in writing model-based learning semester learning design tools or case studies. The practice of using it uses the steps: 1) identification of general and specific problems in learning; 2) formulate various learning outcomes; 3) determine the required assessment tools; 4) develop a new curriculum learning process; 5) pouring the flow of learning objectives into lesson plans. With the results of the dedication, namely: 1) assisting in writing the rps until it is finished; 2) rps that is documented as a reference for the learning process; The formation of the draft RPS which was later ratified as an RPS guide at UNU West as one of the basic learning tools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan deskripsi kinerja guru matematika pada tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan penilaian pembelajaran berdasarkan Surat Keputusan Direktur Jenderal Pendidikan Islam. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuantilatif melalui proses observasi pada saat tindakan supervisi pembelajaran. Penelitian dilakukan kepada dua guru matematika di sekolah yang berbeda dengan teknik purpose sampling. Tahap perencanaan seluruh instrument perencanaan pembelajan berdasarkan Dirjen Pendis Nomor lima ribu seratus enam puluh empat Tahun dua ribu delapan belas dan Nomor enam ribu tiga ratus tiga puluh empat Tahun dua ribu dua puluh satu diperoleh subjek E memperoleh nilai delapan puluh satu dengan kategori baik sedangkan subjek S memperoleh nilai enam puluh satu koma satu dengan kategori kurang. Tahap pelaksanaan berdasarkan Dirjen Pendis Nomor enam ribu tiga ratus tiga puluh empat Tahun dua ribu dua puluh satu diperoleh bahwa subjek E dengan nilai delapan puluh empat koma empat berkategori baik sedangkan subjek S memperoleh enam puluh delpan koma delpan kateogri cukup. Pada tahap akhir penilaian, berdasarkan SK Dirjen Pendis Nomor enam ribu tiga ratus tiga puluh empat Tahun dua ribu dua puluh satu diperoleh bahwa subjek E memperoleh nilai delapan puluh tujuh koma lima berkatogori baik dan subjek S dengan nilai tujuh puluh satu berkategori cukup.
