Abstract

Background : Cervical cancer remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality among women worldwide, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. Despite the availability of effective screening methods such as Pap smear and HPV testing, participation rates remain suboptimal due to various social, cultural, and systemic barriers. Objective : This study aims to identify effective strategies and key determinants influencing women’s participation in cervical cancer screening across diverse cultural and geographical contexts. Research Methods/ Implementation Methods : A narrative synthesis of 12 peer-reviewed articles published between 2018 and 2025 was conducted. Articles were selected based on relevance to cervical cancer screening, including randomized controlled trials, cross-sectional surveys, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses. Key themes were extracted and analyzed for trends, effectiveness of interventions, and associated factors Results : Educational interventions, including empowerment programs and narrative media approaches, significantly increased screening knowledge and participation (p < 0.05). Opt-out invitation systems and community-based outreach campaigns demonstrated higher uptake compared with routine invitations. However, substantial gaps persist, particularly among rural and low-income women, due to limited awareness, fear, and cultural stigma. Factors such as education, income, age, parity, and contraceptive use were consistently associated with screening participation. Conclusion/Lesson Learned : Integrated strategies combining education, community empowerment, and opt-out systems effectively enhance cervical cancer screening uptake. Addressing sociocultural and economic barriers through context-specific public health interventions is essential. Further longitudinal studies are needed to evaluate the sustainability of these approaches in improving screening behavior.

Abstract

Keselamatan pasien adalah isu global krusial, di mana 1 dari 10 pasien mengalami kejadian tidak diinginkan di rumah sakit, dan 50% di antaranya dapat dicegah melalui kepatuhan terhadap standar. Di Indonesia, Sasaran Keselamatan Pasien (SKP) menjadi indikator utama mutu pelayanan, namun kepatuhan perawat masih bervariasi. Tujuan: Menganalisis faktor pengetahuan, sikap, motivasi, budaya keselamatan, dukungan pimpinan, supervisi, ketersediaan fasilitas, dan beban kerja terhadap kepatuhan perawat dalam implementasi SKP. Penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain deskriptif analitik dan pendekatan cross-sectional. Sampel berjumlah 122 perawat dan dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Faktor yang berhubungan signifikan (p=0,000) dengan kepatuhan adalah sikap, budaya keselamatan pasien, dukungan pimpinan, supervisi, dan ketersediaan fasilitas.Beban kerja ditemukan tidak berhubungan signifikan (p=0,276).Seluruh responden (100%) memiliki pengetahuan baik, namun kepatuhan hanya mencapai 50% kategori baik, menunjukkan adanya kesenjangan antara pengetahuan dan praktik. Kepatuhan perawat lebih dipengaruhi oleh faktor sistem dan lingkungan kerja dibandingkan sekadar aspek kognitif. Diperlukan penguatan budaya keselamatan, supervisi, dan dukungan organisasi untuk meningkatkan keselamatan pasien secara berkelanjutan. Kata Kunci : Kepatuhan Perawat, Sasaran Keselamatan Pasien

Abstract

This study aims to analyze trends in corruption cases and the characteristics of defendants based on the level of education in the Corruption Court at the Medan District Court Class 1A specifically in the period 2020-2024. The method used is a quantitative descriptive approach by utilizing secondary data in the form of case decisions obtained from The Case Tracking Information System (SIPP). The results showed that the trend of corruption cases has increased significantly over the past five years, with a total of 596 cases and 611 defendants. From a demographic aspect, the majority of defendants are men, while women are relatively fewer. Based on the level of education, most of the defendants have a higher education background, especially Bachelor (S1), followed by master (S2) and doctorate (S3). These findings indicate that corruption is not directly influenced by the level of education, but rather related to internal factors such as greed and abuse of power. Therefore, efforts to eradicate corruption not only require a repressive approach through law enforcement, but also a preventive approach through anti-corruption education and strengthening moral integrity.

Abstract

Financial statement fraud remains a critical issue in the banking sector, particularly in the post-COVID-19 period marked by economic uncertainty and performance pressure. This study aims to examine the factors influencing financial statement fraud in banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2023–2024 based on the fraud hexagon approach. This research employs a quantitative method using multiple linear regression analysis on 86 samples selected through purposive sampling. The findings indicate that financial stability and external pressure have a negative effect on financial statement fraud, while director change and ineffective monitoring have a positive effect. Meanwhile, auditor change, CEO’s picture frequency, political connections, and government projects do not significantly affect financial statement fraud. This study recommends strengthening corporate governance mechanisms and encouraging investors to exercise greater caution in assessing fraud risk within the banking sector.

Abstract

Background: The incidence of Covid-19 in women, pregnant, and breastfeeding mothers is still high. Currently, the government is trying to prevent and break the chain of Covid-19 transmission by vaccination. However, knowledge about Covid-19 vaccination is still limited. Therefore, Indonesian Obstetrics and Gynecology Association/Perkumpulan Obstetri dan Ginekologi Indonesia  (POGI) members, as the spearhead of women's health, play an essential role in breaking the chain of transmission by providing knowledge about Covid-19 vaccination.Methods: All member of POGI and Youth POGI in Surakarta was educated by online method via the webinar zoom application. The level of knowledge was evaluated pre and post-webinar by using a questionnaire to see the significance.Result: Analysis of 110 participants with paired t-test obtained an average pretest value of 44.82 while the average post-test value was 57.45, with a significance value of p=0.001 (p<0.05). The results of the analysis with the Chi-square test obtained p = 0.002 (p <0.05) and OR = 23.40.Conclusion: There is an increased understanding of preventing and breaking the chain of transmission of Covid-19 in women, pregnant, and breastfeeding mothers by vaccinating youth POGI and POGI members after webinar and discussion, with a significance value of p=0.001 (p<0.05). Webinars and discussions on preventing and breaking the chain of transmission of Covid-19 to women, pregnant, and breastfeeding mothers with vaccination by researchers provided 23.40 times better understanding than before the webinar and discussions were given.
