Abstract

Digital talent retention is an important issue for any organization because competition in Indonesia keeps pace with rapid changes brought by digitization. The current paper has researched how virtual collaboration tools, remote work policies, and types of leadership have affected digital talent retention. The total selected participants are 120 working in different industries, and they were requested to complete a structured questionnaire quantitatively through a 1-5 Likert scale. Data analysis was performed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 3). The findings have indicated that virtual collaboration tools and remote working policy are positively influential toward digital talent retention, and the style of leadership has a great influence on it, acting as a mediator in these relationships. The study develops an integrative framework on the role of technology and flexible policies along with transformational leadership that advocates for a helpful and engaging environment at work. These insights provide a foundation for organizations seeking to attract and retain digital talent in Indonesia's competitive labor market.

Abstract

This study aims to map and analyze the research trends in sustainable tourism development using a bibliometric approach. Drawing on data from the Scopus database spanning from 2001 to 2025, the study explores publication growth, leading authors, institutions, countries, and evolving thematic structures in the field. Using VOSviewer for network visualization, the analysis reveals a significant increase in scholarly output, especially after 2017, indicating rising global interest in sustainable tourism as part of broader sustainability agendas. Thematic clustering identifies four major research areas: community-based development, environmental management, economic dimensions of tourism, and regional planning. Overlay and density visualizations show the emergence of recent themes such as climate change, empowerment, and quality of life, reflecting a shift toward more inclusive and resilience-focused perspectives. The co-authorship and country collaboration networks highlight a globally distributed and increasingly interconnected research community, with notable contributions from China, Indonesia, and the United States. This study contributes to a clearer understanding of the field’s intellectual landscape and provides a strategic foundation for future interdisciplinary research and policy-making in sustainable tourism.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between employee perceptions of fairness in the performance appraisal process and employee performance in Indonesian start-up companies. A quantitative approach was employed, with data collected from 115 employees using a Likert scale-based survey. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 3). The results reveal that all three dimensions of fairness—procedural fairness, distributive fairness, and interactional fairness—significantly influence employee performance. Procedural fairness had the strongest positive relationship with performance, followed by interactional fairness and distributive fairness. The findings suggest that employees who perceive the appraisal process as fair in terms of consistency, outcomes, and interpersonal treatment are more likely to exhibit higher job performance. The study highlights the importance of fairness in performance appraisals for fostering a productive work environment in start-up companies.

Abstract

This research delves into the intricate dynamics of employee retention within Perhutani General Company, Jakarta, Indonesia, focusing on the impact of Human Resource Development Programs (HRDP), Transformational Leadership (TL), and Compensation Policies (CP). A quantitative approach, employing a sample of 250 employees, was utilized to assess the relationships among these variables. The study's methodology involved a robust measurement model assessment, hypothesis testing, and structural model analysis. The results underscore the significant positive influence of HRDP (path coefficient = 0.626, p < 0.001), TL (path coefficient = 0.442, p = 0.002), and CP (path coefficient = 0.348, p = 0.003) on Employee Retention (ER). The measurement model validation ensures the reliability and validity of the constructs. The R-Square of 0.602 and Adjusted R-Square of 0.592 indicate a satisfactory fit of the model. Practical implications suggest strategic interventions tailored to the unique contributions of each factor. While the study provides valuable insights, future research should consider longitudinal approaches and diverse organizational contexts to enrich the generalizability of findings.
