Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly reshaped the operational landscape of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This study examines how digital ecosystems comprising e-commerce platforms, social media, digital payment systems, logistics technologies, government support, and online communities shape new business models and enhance MSME competitiveness and sustainability. Using a qualitative descriptive method based on literature review and policy analysis, the study reveals that digitalization enables MSMEs to transform production, marketing, and customer engagement through platform-based business models and digital collaboration networks. Furthermore, it facilitates financial inclusion and opens access to broader national and international markets. However, challenges persist, including limited digital literacy, infrastructural disparities, and unequal access to technology. Addressing these issues requires a synergistic approach involving MSME actors, government institutions, and digital service providers. The findings highlight the strategic role of digital ecosystems not only in fostering innovation and adaptability but also in promoting sustainable business growth for MSMEs in the digital economy era.

Abstract

Technological developments and changes in post-pandemic work patterns have encouraged organizations to adopt a hybrid work culture that combines remote and in-office work. This article is a conceptual analysis that aims to explain how a hybrid work culture affects employee well-being through the integration of various theoretical foundations, such as Job Demands–Resources Theory, Work–Life Balance Theory, Boundary Theory, and Organizational Support Theory. Findings from various studies indicate that a hybrid work culture provides benefits in the form of flexibility, autonomy, reduced commuting time, and increased work-family integration. However, this work model also presents challenges such as technostress, social isolation, role boundary blurring, and workload intensification. This article synthesizes Q1–Q4 journals to develop a conceptual understanding of the mechanisms by which hybrid work influences psychological, social, and occupational well-being. This analysis identifies three main pathways: (1) the dynamics of job demands and job resources, (2) the interaction of the Work–Life Balance and Boundary Management Pathway, and (3) the Organizational Support Pathway. The article concludes with theoretical implications, practical implications, and a future research agenda.

Abstract

This systematic literature review examines how Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles are integrated into organizational strategy within the broader framework of sustainable strategic management. Drawing on peer-reviewed studies published between 2015 and 2024, this review synthesises theoretical developments, managerial practices, and empirical findings related to ESG-driven strategic transformation. The results highlight three major themes: (1) the shift from traditional profit-centred strategies to purpose-driven and stakeholder-oriented frameworks; (2) the increasing role of ESG metrics in decision-making, performance evaluation, and long-term value creation; and (3) the organizational capabilities required to embed sustainability principles, including leadership commitment, cross-functional collaboration, and transparent reporting. The review also identifies gaps in the current research, particularly regarding the standardisation of ESG measurement, the integration of digital technologies in sustainability governance, and the varying impacts of ESG adoption across industries and regions. These insights contribute to a deeper understanding of how organisations can strategically align ESG initiatives with their competitive advantages and sustainable development goals.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the moderating role of organizational culture on the influence of organizational commitment and job satisfaction on work productivity. The research employs a causal-associative design with a quantitative approach. Data were collected using a census method involving 86 respondents from 13 companies within the Indonesian Migrant Worker Placement Centers (P3MI) in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). The data analysis technique applied was PLS-SEM using Smart-PLS version 3 software. The findings indicate that organizational commitment has a significant positive effect on work productivity, and job satisfaction also has a significant positive effect on work productivity. Furthermore, organizational culture strengthens the influence of organizational commitment on work productivity, as well as the influence of job satisfaction on work productivity. Among these factors, job satisfaction emerges as a particularly critical determinant in enhancing employee productivity. Therefore, companies need to consistently maintain and improve managerial practices that foster job satisfaction, such as providing fair rewards, creating opportunities for career development, and building a supportive organizational culture along with a conducive work environment.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of incentives and competence on the performance of market levy collectors, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable, in traditional markets across Central Lombok Regency. A quantitative approach with a causal associative design was employed. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to all 62 levy collectors and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to assess both direct and indirect relationships among the variables. The findings indicate that incentives and competence significantly influence job satisfaction and performance. Job satisfaction also has a significant effect on performance and serves as a partial mediator in the relationship between incentives, competence, and performance. These results highlight the strategic role of human resource management practices in improving employee performance within the context of local revenue administration. The study contributes empirical evidence to the public management literature by demonstrating the importance of integrating incentive systems and competency development to enhance performance outcomes in the public sector.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the mediating role of work stress in the influence of workload and supervisor support on the performance of Civil Servants (ASN) at the Inspectorate Office of Bolaang Mongondow Regency. This research is a causal associative study using a quantitative approach. The sampling technique employed was a census method involving 84 respondents selected from Civil Servants working at the Inspectorate Office of Bolaang Mongondow Regency. Data analysis was conducted using the PLS-SEM technique with SmartPLS 3 software. The results indicate that workload has a significant negative effect on performance, while supervisor support has a significant positive effect on performance. Furthermore, workload has a significant positive effect on work stress, whereas supervisor support has a significant negative effect on work stress. In addition, work stress has a significant negative effect on performance. The findings also reveal an indirect effect of workload on performance through work stress, while the indirect effect of supervisor support on performance through work stress was not found. High workload characterized by complex job demands, time pressure, and limited resources is able to increase employees’ levels of work stress. Employees who face multitasking, excessive workloads, and insufficient working time tend to experience physical fatigue, psychological pressure, and reduced work comfort, which ultimately worsen their work stress conditions.

Abstract

The mass transition of honorary administrative staff to Government Employees with Work Agreement (PPPK) status in Indonesian public universities has created a contract-based workforce in a bureaucratic yet non-permanent framework. However, the psychological mechanisms driving employee engagement in this context remain underexamined. This study investigates the influence of competence and supervisory support on employee engagement, mediated by work motivation, among PPPK administrative staff at the University of Mataram. A quantitative associative design used PLS-SEM with 126 respondents systematically sampled from 695 PPPK staff via a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire. Results show that competence positively affects engagement both directly and, more strongly, indirectly through work motivation (complementary partial mediation). Supervisory support has no direct effect; its influence is fully mediated by work motivation (indirect-only mediation). Work motivation is the strongest predictor of engagement, serving as the psychological conduit translating personal and job resources into engagement. The model explains substantial variance in engagement. University management should prioritize competence development and design supervisory practices to cultivate work motivation, as support mechanisms alone do not enhance engagement. The study extends JD-R and OST theories by revealing differential mediation pathways in contract-based public higher education.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of technostress and self-efficacy on E-Kinerja adoption with resistance to innovation as a mediating variable among healthcare workers at RSUD Provinsi NTB. A quantitative, associative-causal design was used with 195 respondents selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected via a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using PLS-SEM (SmartPLS 4.0). Results show that technostress has a positive and significant direct effect on adoption, though contrary to the hypothesized negative direction, while self-efficacy has a strong positive effect on adoption. Technostress increases resistance to innovation, while self-efficacy reduces it. Resistance to innovation negatively affects adoption. Mediation analysis reveals that resistance to innovation acts as a competitive mediator between technostress and adoption, and as a complementary partial mediator between self-efficacy and adoption. These findings indicate that successful E-Kinerja adoption depends not only on technological readiness, but also on users' psychological factors, particularly technological pressure, self-belief, and openness to innovation.
