Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by the bacillus Mycobacterium tuberculosis. This infectious disease needs more attention because the transmission rate is still high, especially in areas with high case finding rates and low treatment success rates. This study was conducted to monitor areas prone to TB case transmission, especially areas in Central Java Province. The K-Means method was applied to determine areas prone to TB transmission by considering the success rate of TB treatment, through the Elbow approach to determine the optimal number of clusters. The results of clustering show areas that are classified as vulnerable areas, which are areas with high transmission cases but low treatment success. Visualization of clustering results in scatter plots that clarify the division of areas into clusters and help in identifying treatments and areas that need further intervention.

Abstract

Cases of violence against women are one of the cases that require special attention, especially in the Central Java Province area. This study aims to classify the number of cases of violence against women (age 18+) based on data from 2022 and 2023 using the K-Means algorithm. Through the K-Means método, the regions are classified into 2 clusters based on the pattern of the number of cases in the 2 years. The results of clustering show two main groups: the first cluster which is from the majority of regions with a fairly low number of violent cases, and the second cluster which includes Semarang City as a very high number of violent cases. This study provides an overview of cases of violence against women in Central Java Province and identifies areas with higher case rates. This research is expected to be used as a basis for more appropriate policy-making to reduce the rate of violence against women in the most affected areas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the creative thinking skills of students on natural disaster material using the PjBL model at UPT SMPN 10 Gresik. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with 32 randomly selected eighth-grade students as participants. The research instrument consisted of an observation sheet that measured indicators of creative thinking based on the Torrance model, namely fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The research results show that the level of creative thinking among students varies, with 31.25% categorized as very creative, 28.10% as creative, and 40.63% as somewhat creative. The indicator with the highest achievement is fluency (72%), while the elaboration indicator has the lowest achievement (40%).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir analitis peserta didik kelas VII dalam pembelajaran IPA di SMP Negeri 3 Waru. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan instrumen berupa tes uraian yang disusun berdasarkan tiga indikator berpikir analitis, yaitu membedakan, mengorganisasikan, dan mengatribusikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kemampuan berpikir analitis peserta didik tergolong rendah dengan skor rata-rata keseluruhan 36,4, yang masuk dalam kategori "kurang." Dari tiga indikator yang diukur, kemampuan "mengatribusikan" memperoleh skor rata-rata tertinggi (51,15), sedangkan "mengorganisasikan" memiliki skor rata-rata terendah (27,01). Sebagian besar peserta didik (86%) memperoleh skor di bawah 60. Temuan ini mengindikasikan perlunya pengembangan kemampuan berpikir analitis peserta didik melalui pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif, seperti pendekatan student-centered learning. Penelitian selanjutnya disarankan untuk menganalisis kemampuan komunikasi sains dengan materi dan teknik pengambilan data yang berbeda untuk hasil yang lebih komprehensif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas VII SMP pada pembelajaran IPA, khususnya pada materi zat dan perubahannya. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan responden sebanyak 28 siswa kelas VII I SMP Negeri 3 Waru tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes uraian dengan lima soal yang dirancang sesuai empat indikator kemampuan berpikir kreatif: kelancaran, keluwesan, keaslian, dan kerincian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa sebesar 36,32, yang termasuk dalam kategori "kurang." Sebanyak 93% siswa memperoleh skor di bawah 60, menandakan bahwa mayoritas siswa memiliki kemampuan berpikir kreatif yang rendah. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pengembangan pembelajaran berbasis kreativitas untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa, yang berperan penting dalam menghasilkan ide-ide baru dan pemecahan masalah.

Abstract

Keterampilan proses sains merupakan salah satu keterampilan yang penting dalam pembelajaran IPA. Kemampuan proses sains dapat diartikan sebagai serangkaian kemampuan yang diperlukan untuk melakukan sebuah penyelidikan ilmiah dan memahmi fenomena alam. Analisis keterampilan proses sains diperlukan karena dengan adanya keterampilan proses sains siswa dapat menghubungkan konsep-konsep IPA denga kehidupan sehari-hari salah satunya dengan melakukan penyelidikan ilmiah. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif, responden dalam penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII-3 MTs Bilingual Muslimat NU Sidoarjo pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025 yang berjumlah 31 siswa. Pengambilan data menggunakan tes uraian yang berjumlah 5 soal dimana masing-masing soal telah sesuai dengan indikator keterampilan proses sains tepadu. Analisis data dengan memberikan skor pada setiap nomor atau butir soal dengan skala 0-4 dengan deskripsi skor penilaian sesuai aspek pada setiap indikator keterampilan proses sains. Skor yang diperoleh kemudian dihitung rata-ratanya dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan kategori yang sesuai perhitungan yaitu kurang, cukup, baik, sangat baik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata yang didapat secara keseluruhan adalah 29,1 dantermasuk dalam kategori kurang baik atau rendah.

Abstract

Student learning outcomes are often categorized as low, especially in the field of IPAS science. This is due to the continued use of conventional models in teaching and the lack of student involvement in practical activities or project activities as a form of contextual understanding in the IPAS learning process. The PjBL model can be a solution to address that issue. The selection of the PjBL model was made because this learning model is believed to help students become active participants in the learning process and create meaningful understanding for the students, thereby improving their comprehension of the material and impacting the quality of their learning outcomes. This study aims to determine how the PjBL model affects the learning outcomes of IPAS students on the topic of electrical energy sources in grade V at MIN 2 Mojokerto. The research method in this study is a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental type and a non-equivalent control group design. The research results show that there is an influence of the PjBL model on the improvement of student learning outcomes, as evidenced by the t-test sig (2-tailed) result of 0.000 < 0.05.

Abstract

The process of prioritizing the development of an industrial area's site is a matter that necessitates a mature approach. The establishment of an industrial region has significant social implications for the surrounding locality. However, it is also necessary to take into account the availability of variables that facilitate the functioning of such an industrial zone. The goal of the study "A Comparative Analysis of Multi-Criteria Decision Making Methods (MCDM) for Determining the Priority of Industrial Area Location Development" is to compare and contrast different MCDM methods in the context of deciding which industrial area locations should be developed first. A case study was undertaken, examining various possible industrial sites for future development. Multiple approaches, namely MOORA, WASPAS, ARAS, COPRAS, and AHP, are employed to ascertain the prioritization of industrial area development locations. This study presents a comparative analysis of each approach by using the Spearman Rank correlation and utilizing the factual data obtained from the Department of Capital Plantation and Integrated One Door Services (DPMPTSP). The external research is anticipated to involve a comprehensive review of the literature on the efficacy of Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods. This research has the potential to assist both governmental bodies and private entities in establishing priorities for the development of industrial areas, taking into account prevailing circumstances and conditions while also considering various significant factors and criteria.

Abstract

In this study, the sentiment analysis of ChatGPT application reviews gathered from the Google Play Store is compared using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Random Forest techniques. The google-play-scraper package was used to scrape for the dataset. The data was subjected to a number of preparation procedures before categorization, such as text normalization, stopword removal, character removal, and stemming using the Sastrawi package. After classifying each review using both algorithms, the sentiment of each review was labeled according to its rating score. According to the experimental results, Random Forest attained an accuracy of 94.00%, whereas SVM achieved 95.00%. According to these results, SVM performs marginally better than Random Forest at identifying the sentiment of user reviews of OpenAI applications.

Abstract

Penerimaan mahasiswa baru adalah agenda yang rutin dijalani oleh sebuah institusi perguruan tinggi,. Jumlah penerimaan mahasiswa baru dapat meningkat atau menurun setiap tahunnya di Universitas Semarang. Oleh karenanya, perlu adanya prediksi jumlah penerimaan mahasiswa baru dengan teknologi berbasis artificial intelligent. Penelitian ini mengusulkan metode untuk memprediski jumlah penerimaan mahasiswa baru di Universitas Semarang menggunakan algoritma Multi Layer Perceptron, dengan dataset time series pendaftaran mahasiswa baru dari tahun 2008 hingga 2017. Uji coba Multi Layer Perceptron dengan arsitektur 5-9-1 menghasilkan  Mean Squered Error pada data training sebesar 0.00096 dan Mean Squered Error   pada data testing sebesar 0.1. Sehingga, metode yang diusulkan sangat bagus digunakan untuk prediksi penerimaan mahasiswa baru di Universitas Semarang
