Abstract

The internship activity at PT Supra Matra Abadi Kebun Aek Nabara (KAN) in Bilah Hulu District, LabuhanBatu Regency, North Sumatra Province, this activity was carried out for four months, March-July and the method used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 2 different treatments, namely by concentration of 6% and 7%. Results: Afdilling III PT Supra Matra Abadi controlled banyan weeds using two treatments, namely manually and chemically. The banyan weed is a nuisance plant, because its life clings to or suffocates the oil palm plant. The negative impacts on oil palm plants are pest attacks, competition occurs, humidity increases, making it difficult for the pruning and harvesting processes. The banyan weed population in PT Supra Matra Abadi is in block C87C and block C87G. The purpose of this study was to determine the effective and efficient concentration in the use of the supremo herbicide with the active ingredient glyphosate. Based on the results of research that has been carried out from the two concentrations of the herbicide supremo 480 SL which is effective and efficient for controlling banyan weeds in oil palm plants, namely a concentration of 7%. Abstract

In this study, weeds in oil palm plantations that produce, including Nephrolepis biserrata, have different resistance to single or combination herbicides, with a mixed herbicide of glyphosate 480 sl and paraquat is expected to control fern weeds (Nephrolepis biserrata) more effectively and efficiently than singly. carried out using a non-factorial randomized block design (RAK) with 3 treatments, namely, D0: Babat D1: glyphosate herbicide 480 sl dose 30 ml 5 liter water volume, D2: paraquat herbicide 25 ml 5 liter water volume, D3: glyphosate herbicide 480 sl + herbicide paraquat at a dose of 20 ml with a volume of 5 liters of water added with mechanical treatment repeated 4 times. Observation parameters in this study were weed mortality rate, leaf color poisoning rate and natality. The results showed that the best treatment was to use the herbicide paraquat (25 ml volume of water 5 liters) on day 13 the weeds had died, while in the herbicide treatment glyphosate 480 sl (30 ml volume of water 5 liters) suppressed weed death on day 19 in the herbicide treatment glyphosate 480 sl mixed with paraquat was able to suppress mortality on day 19 Keywords: plantation, weeds, herbicides

Abstract

The presence of nitrogen in the soil is closely related to plant growth. The purpose of the study was to analyze the availability of nitrogen in the soil and calculate the need for fertilizers to increase the productivity of lowland rice. This research was carried out in rice fields in the village of Ujung Bandar, South Rantau distric, Labuhan Batu and analysis of soil samples in the laboratory on January 16, 2022.The study used a survey method with a sample area approach on a land area of ​​300 m2. The results showed that the N in paddy fields was low (UB 3, UB2 and UB1), starting from 0.11%, 0.14% and 0.15%. The addition of fertilizers with nitrogen content is needed to support plant growth in increasing productivity.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze and examine the impact of company's financial performance towards capital structure in financial companies in Indonesia for the 2015-2020 period. In this research, the data are from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), Financial Services Authority (OJK), and financial report of each company. Capital structure is measured using the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) variable. Otherwise Financial Performance can be measured by Financing to Asset Ratio (FAR), Non Performing Loan (NPL), Price Earning Ratio (PER), Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE) variables. This research is using seven samples of financial companies in Indonesia for the 2015-2020 period in each semester. The researcher is using quantitative with seven sample financial companies listed on BEI & method with the research performance measured by the panel data regression. The results from panel data regression show that the fixed effect model is suitable and chosen. From this research explains that Financing to Asset Ratio (FAR) & Price Earning Ratio (PER) variables have shown positive impact towards capital structure variables, whereas Non Performing Loans (NPL), Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE) Have shown negative impact towards capital structure. The research is expected to be able to overview the capital structure for the company and concerns regarding the cash flow. The next research is expected to be able to add research variables and the year of the research for more perfection.

Abstract

Liquid smoke has the result of condensation from compounds that vaporize simultaneously and the heated reactor through pyrolysis techniques with heat decomposition and condensation in the cooling system which causes the formation of cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin. Liquid smoke contains a large number of phenolic, carbonyl, and acid group compounds. The purpose of this study was to identify the chemical constituents contained in liquid smoke from coconut shells. The location of this research was carried out at the Labuhan Batu University Laboratory, Faculty of Science and Technology. This study used the pyrolysis method. This study was to examine the chemical test results of aldehydes and ketones. The results of this study showed negative results (not found) for the presence of aldehydes and ketones from liquid smoke from coconut shells. It can be concluded that in the implementation of the research, there were still lacking procedures resulting in a negative chemical test.INTISARI                  Asap cair memiliki hasil kondensasi dari senyawa-senyawa yang menguap  secara simultan  dan reaktor panas melalui  teknik pirolisis  penguraian dengan panas dan  kondensasi pada sistem  pendingin yang menyebabkan terbentuknya selulosa, hemigselulosa dan lignin. Asap cair mengandung sejumlah besar senyawa kelompok fenol, karbonil, dan asam. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengindentifikasi kandungan  kimia yang terdapat dalam asap cair dari tempurung kelapa. Tempat penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Universitas Labuhan Batu, Fakultas Sains Dan Teknologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pirolisis, Penelitian ini untuk menguji hasil uji kimia dari Aldehid dan Keton. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan hasil yang negatif(tidak ditemukan) adanya aldehid dan keton dari asap cair yang berasal dari tempurung kelpa. Dapat disimpulkan  bahwasannya dalam pelaksanaan penelitian masih ada prosedur yang kurang sehingga menghasilkan uji kimia yang negatif.

Abstract

The utilization of tea residue in agriculture has gained attention as a means to reduce waste and promote sustainable farming practices. This article aims to evaluate the potential of tea residue as an alternative growing medium for the growth of pakchoi plants (Brassica rapa subsp. chinensis). The study was conducted by collecting tea residue from various sources and using it as a growing medium to cultivate pakchoi seedlings. The results of the study indicate that tea residue possesses characteristics that make it an effective growing medium. Furthermore, pakchoi plants grown in tea residue demonstrated good growth in terms of plant height, leaf count, and fresh weight. Qualitative analysis revealed the presence of essential nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium in tea residue, which can support plant growth. Additionally, tea residue exhibited good water retention capacity, maintaining moisture in the growing medium, and enhancing air circulation. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that tea residue holds potential as an effective and sustainable growing medium for pakchoi plant growth. The use of tea residue in agriculture can also aid in waste reduction and improve agricultural environmental performance. Further research is warranted to explore the full potential and applications of tea residue in modern farming practices.Keywords: Tea residue, Growing medium, Pakchoi, Plant growth. INTISARIPemanfaatan sisa-sisa ampas teh dalam pertanian menjadi topik yang menarik perhatian dalam upaya mengurangi limbah dan mempromosikan praktik pertanian berkelanjutan. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi potensi ampas teh sebagai media tanam alternatif untuk pertumbuhan tanaman pakcoy (Brassica rapa subsp. chinensis). Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan ampas teh dari berbagai sumber dan menggunakannya sebagai media tanam untuk menumbuhkan bibit pakcoy. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ampas teh memiliki karakteristik yang memungkinkannya untuk digunakan sebagai media tanam yang efektif. Selain itu, tanaman pakcoy yang ditanam dalam ampas teh menunjukkan pertumbuhan yang baik dalam hal tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan berat segar. Analisis kualitatif menunjukkan adanya nutrisi penting seperti nitrogen, fosfor, dan kalium dalam ampas teh yang dapat mendukung pertumbuhan tanaman. Selain itu, ampas teh juga memiliki kemampuan menyimpan air yang baik, mempertahankan kelembaban media tanam, dan meningkatkan sirkulasi udara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ampas teh memiliki potensi sebagai media tanam yang efektif dan berkelanjutan untuk pertumbuhan tanaman pakcoy. Penggunaan ampas teh dalam pertanian juga dapat membantu mengurangi limbah dan meningkatkan kinerja lingkungan pertanian. Penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk mempelajari lebih lanjut potensi dan aplikasi ampas teh dalam pertanian modern. Kata Kunci: Ampas teh, Media tanam, Pakcoy, Pertumbuhan tanaman.

Abstract

Purple eggplant is one of the important vegetable crops in Indonesia. The use of liquid organic fertilizer can be an alternative in suppressing the use of inorganic fertilizers and is able to improve environmental conditions around it. This study aims to determine the effect of applying liquid organic fertilizer from goat manure and lamtoro leaves on the growth of eggplant plants. purple (Solanum Melongena L ). This research was conducted in Titi Panjang sub-district, Negerilama from December to April 2023. The randomized block design (RAK) research design consisted of 2 factors, namely the first factor was POC lamtoro leaves and the second factor was goat manure with 3 replications so that several trials were obtained. namely L0 (Control), L1 = (100 ml liquid fertilizer + 900 ml/L water), L2 = (200 ml liquid fertilizer + 800 ml/L water), L3 = (300 ml liquid fertilizer + 700 ml/L water) The second factor was the concentration of goat manure (K) with 3 levels, namely K0 = (Control), K1 = 500 gr/plant, K2 = 1000 gr/plant. The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter. The average eggplant height using POC lamtoro leaves and goat manure obtained at 2 WAP was 3.48 cm. At 4 MST it was 5.04. at the age of 6 MST obtained that is 8.48 cm. while at the age of 8 MST it was 14.78 cm. the average number of eggplant leaves using POC lamtoro leaves and goat manure obtained 2 WAP was 5.58 strands. At 4 MST it was 6.17 strands while at 6 MST it was obtained 7.41 strands. At the age of 8 MST, it was 11.88 strands, the average stem diameter of the eggplant using POC lamtoro leaves and goat manure obtained 2 WAP, which was 0.15. At the age of 4 MST, it was 0.23 strands. whereas at the age of 6 MST it was obtained 0.28. It is assumed that the available nutrients are also not enough and can also be caused by environmental factors that can also affect the elongation of the purple eggplant plant. Keywords: Purple eggplant , liquid organic fertilizer, benefits of lamtoro leaves INTISARITerung ungu merupakan salah satu tanaman sayuran penting di Indonesia Penggunaan pupuk organik  cair  dapat menjadi alternatif dalam menekan penggunaan pupuk anorganik dan mampu memperbaiki kondisi lingkungan di sekitar , Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk organik cair dari kotoran kambing dan daun lamtoro terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman terung ungu (Solanum Melongena L ). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di  kelurahan Titi panjang, Negerilama pada bulan Desember sampai April 2023. Rancangan percobaan penelitian rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari 2 Faktor yaitu faktor pertama POC daun lamtoro dan faktor kedua pupuk kotoran kambing  dengan 3 kali ulangan sehingga diadapatkan beberapa percobaan yaitu L0  (Kontrol), L1 =  (100 ml pupuk cair + 900 ml/L air), L2 =  (200 ml pupuk cair + 800 ml/L air), L3 =  (300 ml pupuk cair + 700 ml/L air).Faktor  kedua adalah  konsentrasi pemberian pupuk kotoran kambing (K) dengan 3 taraf yaitu  K0 =  (Kontrol), K1 = 500 gr/tanama, K2 =1000 gr/ tanaman Parameter yang diamati  yaitu tinggi tanaman,jumlah daun, diameter batang. rataan tinggi tanaman terung dengan menggunakan pemberian POC daun lamtoro dan pupuk kotoran kambing yang diperoleh 2 MST yaitu 3,48 cm.Pada umur 4 MST yaitu 5,04 . pada umur 6 MST diperoleh yaitu 8,48 cm. sedangkan  pada umur 8 MST yaitu 14,78 cm. rataan jumlah daun terung dengan menggunakan pemberian POC daun lamtoro dan pupuk kotoran kambing yang diperoleh 2 MST yaitu 5,58 helai.Pada umur 4 MST yaitu 6,17 helai sedangkan pada umur 6 MST diperoleh yaitu 7,41 helai. Pada umur 8 MST yaitu 11,88 helairataan diameter batang terung dengan menggunakan pemberian POC daun lamtoro dan pupuk kotoran kambing yang diperoleh 2 MST yaitu 0,15.Pada umur 4 MST yaitu 0,23 helai. sedangkan pada umur 6 MST diperoleh yaitu 028. Pada umur 8 MST yaitu 0,43 cm.ini bisa di sebabkan karena lambatnya unsur hara tersedia bagi tanaman sehingga mempengaruhi pelebaran dan penebalan lingkar Batang tanaman terung ungu. Unsur hara yg tersedia diasumsikan juga tidak cukup banyak dan bisa juga di sebabkan oleh faktor lingkungan juga dapat mempengaruhi pemanjangan tanaman terung ungu Kata Kunci : Tanaman terung ungu , pupuk organik cair , manfaat daun lamtoro.

Abstract

Duck farming needs to pay attention to the problems encountered in the process of raising ducks and efforts to deal with them need to be done. The purpose of this research is to analyze the business of laying ducks in Tanjung Medan, South Labuhanbatu Regency. This research was compiled based on a purposive survey method and primary data acquisition using questionnaires for duck breeders. This research found that in one period the farmer needs to spend IDR 20,000,000 capital with a livestock population of 150 heads. Income for 4 months ranges from IDR 21,450,000 Keywords: analysis, ducks, business, raising, laying eggsINTISARIBudidaya itik perlu diperhatikan masalah yang dihadapi dalam proses beternak dan perlu dilakukan upaya penanganan. Tujuan riset ini adalah melakukan analisis usaha ternak itik petelur di desa tanjung medan labuhanbatu selatan. Riset ini disusun berdasarkan metode survey secara purposive dan perolehan data primer dengan kuisioner kepada peternak itik. Riset ini memperoleh hasil bahwa dalam satu periode peternak perlu mengeluarkan modal Rp 20.000.000 dengan populasi ternak sebanyak 150 ekor. Abstract

            Rice is rice (serelia) that has been boiled or cooked. In general, the color of rice is white if the rice used is white. Rice is a staple food for Indonesian people, because almost all regions in Indonesia consume rice as a staple food. The existence of stale rice is also often found in stalls selling rice besides in the household environment. Stale rice is usually given to livestock, and what is quite interesting is that stale rice is sometimes just thrown in the trash without any further processing, so that it gradually gives an unpleasant smelling effect to the environment and an unpleasant sight. This research will utilize stale rice that comes from the nearest community. There are three kinds of rice waste liquid fertilizer concentrations used, namely concentrations of 10%, 20% and 30% concentrations and there is a control. Fertilizer application is done 2 times a week and maintenance is done by watering every morning and evening with water. Observations were also made twice a week until they were 12 weeks old. The planting medium used to grow paper orange flowers (Bougainvillea spectabilis) is soil. Based on the results of researchers' observations of the height growth of the orange paper flower (Bougainvillea spectabilis) shoots, it is known that the application of various volumes of liquid organic fertilizer to the orange paper flower plants affects the growth of shoot height. Flower plants that experienced quite rapid growth of shoots occurred in P₃ plants with a concentration level of 30% with an average growth of 20.15 mm, while for concentrations of 10% and 20% were 18.94 mm and 19.17 mm, while for the control only 16.8 mm. Keywords: Stale Rice, Organic Fertilizer, Plants, Flowers.INTISARINasi adalah beras (serelia) yang telah direbus atau ditanak. Pada umumnya, warna nasi adalah putih bila beras yang digunakan adalah berwarna putih. Nasi merupakan makanan pokok bagi masyarat Indonesia, karena hampir semua wilayah di Indonesia adalah mengonsumsi nasi sebagai makanan pokoknya. Keberadaan nasi basi juga sering dijumpai di warung-warung penjual nasi selain di lingkungan rumah tangga. Nasi basi biasanya diberikan untuk ternak, dan yang cukup menarik perhatian nasi basi terkadang hanya dibuang begitu saja di tempat sampah tanpa ada pengolahan lanjutan hingga lambat laun memberikan efek bau yang kurang sedap pada lingkungan dan pemandangan yang tidak menyenangkan. Penelitian ini akan memanfaatkan nasi basi yang berasal dari masyarakat terdekat. Ada tiga macam konsentrasi pupuk cair limbah nasi yang digunakan  yaitu konsenrasi 10%, 20% dan konsentrasi 30% serta terdapat kontrol. Pemberian pupuk dilakukan 2 kali dalam seminggu dan pemeliharaan dilakukan dengan cara menyiram setiap pagi dan sore dengan air. Pengamatan juga dilakukan setiap satu minggu dua kali sampai berumur 12 minggu. Media tanam yang digunakan untuk menanam bunga kertas orange (Bougainvillea spectabilis) adalah tanah. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan peneliti terhadap pertumbuhan tinggi tunas bunga kertas orange (Bougainvillea spectabilis) diketahui bahwa pemberian variasi volume pupuk organik cair kepada tanaman bunga kertas orange mempengaruhi pertumbuhan tinggi tunas. Tanaman bunga yang mengalami pertumbuham tunas cukup pesat terjadi pada tanaman P₃ dengan tingkat konsentrasi 30% dengan rata-rata pertumbuhan sebesar 20,15 mm, sedangkan untuk konsentrasi 10% dan 20% adalah 18,94 mm dan 19,17 mm, sedangkan untuk kontrol hanya sebesar 16,8 mm. Kata Kunci : Nasi Basi, Pupuk Organik, Tanaman, Bunga

Abstract

on January 2023 until completion. application of NPK fertilizer was given at 2 WAP using 4 treatment levels, namely: P1:80 g/plant P2:120 g/plant P3:160 g/plant. Parameters observed were plant length, number of leaves, flowering age, were observed at 2 WAP until the end of the vegetative period using a meter from the base of the stem to the tip of the root. From the results of this study the growth of watermelon plants, plant length and amount of leaves were calculated from the age of 2, and 4WAP and the flowering age was taken when the plants began to flower and from this study shows that the correct dose of NPK fertilizer for the growth and yield of watermelon plants is 160 g/plant. This reserch showed thtof NPK fertilizer the growth of watermelon plants both from plant length, number of leaves is 160 g/plant. Keywords: Fertilizer, Horticulture, PlantINTISARI Penelitian ini akan dilaksanakan dikebun percobaan Gunung Selamat, Bilah hulu, Labuhanbatu pada bulan Januari 2023 sampai selesai. pengaplikasian pupuk NPK diberikan pada 2 MST dengan menggunakan 4 taraf perlakuan yaitu: P1 :80 g/tanaman P2:120 g/tanaman P3:160 g/tanaman. Pada penelitin ini menggunakan nilai panjang batng, jumlah daun, umur bunga pada 2 MST hingga akhir vegetatif alat ukur panjang dari pangkl akar ke ujung batang. Dari hasil penelitian ini pertumbuhan tanaman semangka panjang tanaman dan jumlah daun dihitung sejak umur 2, dan 4 MST dan umur berbunga diambil pada saat tamanan mulai berbunga. Hasil melaporkan bahwa perlakuab 160 g/tanaman memberikan hasil terbaik dari seluruh parameter. Kata Kunci: Pupuk, Hortikultura, Tanaman
