Abstract

Pekon paku is one of the isolated villages in Kelumbayan District, Tanggamus District, Lampung Province. Various tourism potentials and natural resources have not been well managed by the government and local communities. Therefore, the National Community Service of the 2018 KKN-Western State University BKS activities are carried out through various creative work programs. This activity is carried out by a causal method, which is to carry out a work program based on SWOT analysis of problems that occurs as a prosperous population of less than 15%, primary school conditions that are prioritized, and so on. The results of this activity are found in physical and non-physical forms. Physically, KKN students succeeded in making small platforms / shelters on the bay of the bay, holding reading gardens for elementary students, and smart mushalla. Non-physical, character building is carried out through tutoring, afternoon movements of recitation, and non-physical development of tourism in the form of promotions and beach nail bays tour shortcuts by creating a paradiseofpaku.com website. through KKN activities conducted for 30 days, students have succeeded in contributing to the pakon as a form of community service.

Abstract

The development of ecotourism in Kapalo Banda, Limau Manis, Padang, has potential to be expanded into agro-ecotourism through multi-stakeholder involvement. Key attractions include the scenic of river flows, agricultural cultivation, and stingless bee keeping, which support environmental sustainability and the local economy. With high vegetation diversity, the potential for stingless bee (galo-galo) breeding as a creative economic initiative offers new opportunities. This program aligns with the West Sumatra Provincial Government’s efforts to establish the area as a honey production center. However, challenges such as low colony production due to limited knowledge of farming techniques and the availability of flowering feed hinder its development. Through community engagement, empowerment activities were conducted from June to September 2024, including socialization, demonstrations, and training in bee farming techniques, supported by expert teams. Education focused on the potential of galo-galo and marketing strategies for local products. The results of this program indicate improved community skills and knowledge, supporting local economic sustainability and biodiversity conservation. Kapalo Banda partners have the potential to serve as a model for community empowerment based on natural resources, effectively enhancing community welfare. Multi-stakeholder involvement in developing Kapalo Banda Ecotourism has resulted in a series of activities ranging from cultivation preparation, colony propagation techniques, harvest preparation, to downstream processing and product marketing.

Abstract

Tujuan dari studi ini adalah untuk mengungkap pemahaman tentang dampak penggunaan metode narasi dengan urutan gambar terhadap keterampilan berbicara pada anak-anak di tingkat Taman Kanak-Kanak. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian quasi eksperimental. Subyek penelitian berasal dari populasi anak-anak dalam kelompok B TK Sumarorong. Sampel terdiri dari 36 anak yang dipilih melalui metode purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data melibatkan teknik deskriptif statistik dan analisis statistik parametrik. Hasil studi ini mengindikasikan bahwa penggunaan metode cerita dengan urutan gambar seri berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan kemampuan berbicara pada anak-anak

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode pembelajaran talking stick terhadap kemampuan berbicara anak usia dini di Taman Kanak-Kanak (TK). Desain penelitian menggunakan Pretest-Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design, di mana kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dipilih tanpa randomisasi, sehingga berbentuk desain Nonequivalent (Pretest and Posttest) Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian melibatkan seluruh anak kelompok B di TK Taman PAUD Doa Ibu, yang terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelompok B1 dengan 24 anak didik dan Kelompok B2 dengan 20 anak didik. Melalui uji hipotesis, penelitian ini menghasilkan temuan yang signifikan dalam pengaruh penerapan metode Talking Stick terhadap kemampuan berbicara anak-anak di TK Taman PAUD Doa Ibu. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan perbandingan antara nilai t hitung (40.645) dan nilai t tabel (1.686). Karena t hitung lebih besar daripada t tabel, maka hipotesis H1 diterima yang menyatakan bahwa metode talking stick berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berbicara anak.

Abstract

This research is based on the problem of low problem-solving skills in early childhood, where children find it difficult to think, understand, and remember and are not able to solve their own problems. According to Weikart, exploration and problem solving are active ways for children to learn, which are considered important to help children become independent, make decisions, and be confident in facing new situations with problem solving. So this study aims to analyze the effect of implementing the outbound games learning method on the problem-solving skills of children aged 5-6 years. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pre-test post-test design. The research subjects consisted of 15 children at Bustanul Athfan Bulurokeng Kindergarten Group B who were selected from the research population using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through observation guidelines that measure three main aspects: recognizing problems, finding solutions, and evaluating results. The results showed a significant increase that can be seen from children's abilities in identifying problems, thinking critically, logically, and independently in solving problems after the implementation of outbound games. There was a difference in the average pre-test score of 28.73, increasing to 58.13 in the post-test with a p-value of 0.001 (p < 0.05). The implementation of outbound games has proven effective as an experience-based learning method to improve the problem-solving skills of early childhood, so it can be a relevant alternative for educators.

Abstract

This research is based on the problem of low moral values in  early childhood, where children have difficulty behaving politely, behaving honestly, and humbly. According to Weikart, through exploration and problem-solving is an active way for children to learn, which is considered important to help children become polite, honest, and humble in facing new situations with moral values. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the influence of Pappasang Ri Kajang  on the ability of moral values in children aged 5-6 years. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method with a post-test design of one group. The research subjects consisted of 15 children in Wulil Amri Mannuruki Kindergarten Group B who were selected from the research population using purposive sampling techniques. Data is collected through observational guidelines that measure three main aspects: recognizing problems, finding solutions, and evaluating outcomes. The results of the study showed a significant improvement that can be seen from the ability of children to behave politely, honestly, and simply after the implementation of Pappasang Ri Kajang . There was a difference in the average pre-test score of 26.62 increasing to 53.31 at the posttest with a significance value of 0.001 (p <0.05). The application of Pappasang Ri Kajang  has been proven to be effective as an experiential learning method to improve early childhood moral values, so that it can be a relevant alternative for educators.

Abstract

Abstrak Bullying merupakan permasalahan serius di lingkungan sekolah yang dapat berdampak pada kesehatan mental, sosial, dan akademik anak. Fenomena ini memerlukan perhatian khusus untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang aman dan inklusif. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan pemahaman mengenai bullying serta mendorong implementasi kebijakan anti-bullying di sekolah. Mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah salah satu sekolah dasar di Kota Makassar dengan melibatkan siswa kelas 4-6, guru, dan tenaga kependidikan. Metode yang digunakan dalam program ini meliputi edukasi, workshop interaktif, serta pendampingan dalam penyusunan kebijakan anti-bullying. Sebanyak 30 siswa, 18 guru, dan 5 tenaga kependidikan berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan ini. Hasil program menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman yang signifikan, dengan skor rata-rata pre-test siswa sebesar 58 meningkat menjadi 84 setelah kegiatan. Peningkatan juga terlihat pada guru dan tenaga kependidikan dengan kenaikan masing-masing sebesar 35,4% dan 37,1%. Program ini telah menciptakan perubahan nyata dalam sikap dan perilaku terhadap bullying, serta menegaskan pentingnya pendekatan berbasis komunitas dalam membangun lingkungan belajar yang bebas dari perundungan. Hasil pengabdian ini dapat menjadi model bagi sekolah lain dalam menerapkan kebijakan anti-bullying secara efektif. Kata kunci: bullying; inklusif; kebijakan; pendidikan; sekolah dasar Abstract Bullying is a serious issue in the school environment that can affect children's mental, social, and academic well-being. This phenomenon requires special attention to create a safe and inclusive learning environment. This community engagement program aims to raise awareness and understanding of bullying and promote the implementation of anti-bullying policies in schools. The partner in this activity is an elementary school in Makassar City, involving students in grades 4-6, teachers, and educational staff. The methods used in this program include education, interactive workshops, and assistance in developing anti-bullying policies. A total of 30 students, 18 teachers, and 5 educational staff participated in this activity. The results showed a significant increase in understanding, with the students' average pre-test score of 58 rising to 84 after the program. Improvements were also observed among teachers and educational staff, with increases of 35.4% and 37.1%, respectively. This program has successfully fostered tangible changes in attitudes and behaviors toward bullying, highlighting the importance of a community-based approach in creating a bullying-free learning environment. The findings of this program can serve as a model for other schools in effectively implementing anti-bullying policies.  Keywords: anti-bullying; education; inclusive; policy; primary school

Abstract

This research is an R&D research which aims (1) to find out the need for the use of reading smart board learning media (e-papica) in implementing the independent curriculum to improve basic literacy in early childhood (2) To find out the development of reading smart board learning media (e-papica) in improving basic literacy in early childhood (3) To find out the validity, practicality and effectiveness of reading smart board learning media (e-papica) in improving basic literacy skills in children. This research design uses a 4-D model. Data collection techniques in this research were observation and questionnaires. The subjects in this research consisted of 4 teachers and 30 students. The results of the research show that: (1) an overview of the need for developing reading smart board learning media (e-papica) in improving children's basic literacy, is really needed by teachers because reading smart board learning media (e-papica) is considered very practical in improving basic literacy skills in children, 2) The development plan for reading smart board (e-papica) is designed, namely: Media and guidebooks for using the media, and 3) the level of validity of reading smart board learning media (e-papica) is obtained in the valid category, and the level of practicality obtained with very practical criteria. Meanwhile, in the effectiveness test, the media evaluation sheet was found to be in the very effective category. and analysis of the children's data obtained shows that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected, so it is said that there is an influence of smart reading board media (e-papica) on children's basic literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance the existing knowledge on the diversity of liverworts within the genus Bazzania in Indonesia, specifically in North Sumatra, where such research is relatively limited. North Sumatra offers a rich habitat for liverworts, particularly within the Batang Toru forest, which experiences extremely high rainfall, resulting in optimal humidity for liverwort growth, including Bazzania species. The goal of this study is to contribute to the literature regarding Bazzania found in the Batang Toru forest. Sample collection involved exploring the hiking trails of the Batang Toru Forest as part of an exploration survey. Bazzania specimens were collected directly from leaves and cut from bark, rocks, or soil using a knife. All collected Bazzania liverworts were placed in designated dry specimen envelopes. This research successfully identified 13 Bazzania species, three of which are new records for Sumatra: Bazzania parabidentula, Bazzania parisii, and Bazzania scalaris. The most frequently collected specimens were Bazzania caudistipula, Bazzania calcarata, and Bazzania densa. The presence of Bazzania in the Batang Toru forest indicates that the area remains in a natural state. Consequently, this research aimed to inventory Bazzania in the Batang Toru forest and to enhance the understanding of Indonesia's natural wealth, particularly concerning Marchantiophyta.

Abstract

AbstractAbstractThis research is a classroom action research that aims to find out how the use of audio visual media to improve students' science learning outcomes. The formulation of the problem in this research is whether the use of audio visual media can improve science learning outcomes for fifth grade students at UPTD SD Negeri 80 Parepare. The data collection instrument used documentation, tests and observations. Data analysis techniques in this study are reducing data, describing data and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the research in the first cycle, the teacher did not provide guidance to students so that they did not dare to express their opinion. The results of the observation of the first cycle of the first meeting and the second meeting found that 9 out of 16 students got a complete score (56.25%) and 7 people out of 16 students (43.75%)) who got an incomplete score so that based on the completeness obtained it was still are in the sufficient category. Meanwhile, in cycle II, students have the courage to express their opinions and ask questions that are still not understood in relation to the material. In the second cycle of the first and second meetings, it was found that 13 out of 16 students (81.25%) got a complete score and 3 out of 16 students (18.75%) who got an incomplete score in the good category indicating the learning objectives were achieved by Thus, the use of Audio Visual media can improve students' science learning outcomes. Keywords: Audio Visual Media, Learning Outcomes, Science Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penggunaan media Audio visual untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa. Adapun rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu apakah penggunaan media audio visul dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA Siswa kelas V UPTD SD Negeri 80 Parepare. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumentasi, tes dan observasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini yaitu mereduksi data, mendeskripsikan data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pada siklus I guru kurang memberikan bimbingan kepada siswa sehingga belum berani mengemukakakn pendapatnya . Hasil observasi tindakan siklus I pertemuan pertaman dan pertemuan kedua ditemukan bahwa 9 orang dari 16 siswa memperoleh nilai tuntas (56,25 %) dan 7 orang dari 16 siswa (43,75 %)) yang memperoleh nilai tidak tuntas sehingga berdasarkan ketuntasan yang diperoleh masih berada pada kategori cukup. Sedangkan pada siklus II siswa sudah berani menemukakan pendapatnya dan menanyakan hal-hal yang masih kurang dipahami sehubungan dengan materi. Pada siklus II pertemuan pertama dan kedua ditemukan bahwa 13 orang dari 16 siswa (81,25 %) yang memperoleh nilai tuntas dan 3 orang dari 16 siswa (18,75 %) yang memperoleh nilai tidak tuntas dalam kategori baik yang menunjukkan tujuan pembelajaran tercapai dengan demikian, penggunaan media Audio Visual dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa. Kata kunci: Media Audio Visual, Hasil Belajar, IPA
