Diseases are the disadventages in livestock farming that must be overcame with good animal health management practices. Animal health management must be implemented to improve livestock productivities. Farmers on Abeko Village, Ranomeeto Barat Sub-District, Konawe Selatan are still uninformed about the importance of animal health management practices. This programme aimed to improve the farmers’ knowledge and understanding in maintaining animal health in order to gain maximum livestock production. The methods used in this program were physical and non-physical activities such as restraining box construction, animal health treatment, discussion, and counseling.

Kendari City as the provincial capital has the highest incidence of positive covid-19 cases compared to other districts / cities in Southeast Sulawesi, Until April 23, 2020 there were 17 positive patients with Covid-19 who were undergoing treatment. This has implications for decreasing consumption and people's income because they cannot carry out normal activities. The steps taken by the central and local governments to combat the Covid-19 pandemic are by carrying out social distancing or social restrictions by limiting distances between individuals and avoiding crowds. Another government policy is the implementation of work from home (WFH) or activities from home for some employees and school children. This condition adversely affects the economy of Kendari city. One of the solutions offered is raising quail by utilizing the house yard. Quail maintenance is quite easy, does not require a large area and the maintenance system can be completed in a minimalist manner. Quail products consist of eggs and meat. Quail meat is processed into rica-rica quail meat and eggs are processed into quail egg nest tofu. KKN-THEMATIC aims to provide insights and knowledge about processing and marketing of processed quail products to the public. The method used is a persuasive participatory method with direct extension activities and practices. The results that have been achieved in this KKN-TEMATIK activity are an increase in the knowledge and understanding of breeders and the community in developing their business sustainability by making processed quail products, aswell as marketing management of processed quail products.

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan benih pra tanam dengan menggunakan rizobakteri terhadap kualitas benih cabai merah dari benih kadaluarsa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Ilmu dan Teknologi Benih Jurusan Agroteknologi Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) Non Faktorial dengan faktor, yaitu jenis rizobakteri 8 isolat: ASP 3/1, ASP 4/1, ASP 4/5, ASP 5/5, ASP 5/8, ASP 6/1, ASP 7/2 dan ASP 7/5, dan 1 kontrol sehingga keseluruhannya 9 perlakuan. Masing-masing diulang 3 kali dengan demikian ada 27 satuan percobaan. Setiap percobaan terdiri dari 20 benih sehingga terdapat 540 benih. Hasil penelitian: perlakuan benih menggunakan rizobakteri berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tolok ukur potensi tumbuh maksimum, daya berkecambah, keserampakan tumbuh, waktu untuk mencapai 50% perkecambahan total relatif serta berat basah kecambah normal, dan berpengaruh nyata terhadap tolok ukur kecepatan tumbuh relatif, berat kering kecambah normal, dan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap tolok ukur indeks vigor. Perlakuan benih menggunakan rizobakteri mampu meningkatkan viabilitas serta vigor benih cabai merah kadaluarsa dengan meningkatkan daya berkecambahnya hingga 375%. Pada fase perkecambahan benih cabai kadaluarsa yang mendapatkan perlakuan pra tanam dengan rizobakteri ASP 4/5 mampu meningkatkan kualitas benih cabai merah kadaluarsa pada tolok ukur potensi tumbuh maksimum, daya berkecambah, keserampakan tumbuh, kecepatan tumbuh relatif dan berat kering kecambah normal.

The aim of the study was to examine the effect of giving African leaf juice (Vernonia amygdalina) on cholesterol, uric acid and blood glucose of broiler chickens. The research was carried out in August-September 2021 at the broiler chicken coop unit of the Poultry Livestock Unit Laboratory, Faculty of Animal Science, Halu Oleo University, Kendari. The research method used was a completely randomized design (CRD) using 100 broiler DOCs with 4 treatments and 4 replications and there were 16 experimental units. The treatments used in this study were P0 = without African leaf juice (control), P1 = 2cc of African leaf juice/1 liter of water in drinking water, P2 = 4cc of African leaf juice/1 liter of water in drinking water, P3 = 6cc of African leaf juice /1 liter of water in drinking water. The variables observed were cholesterol, uric acid and blood glucose. The results of the study showed that administration of African leaf juice with levels of 2cc, 4cc, 6cc had no effect (P>0,05) on cholesterol, uric acid and blood glucose of broiler chickens. Thus, it was concluded that the administration of African leaf juice had no effect on cholesterol, uric acid and blood glucose of broiler chickens.

The Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia is gradually becoming normal, evidenced by the government's loosening policy to carry out offline activities. Educational, social, and economic activities have been going well. This study aims to determine the efficiency of broiler marketing in Kendari City. The approach used in this research is quantitative. The research was carried out in June 2022 in five Kendari City consumer centers (markets: Baruga, Anduonohu, Mandonga Central, Kendari Lama City Central, and Lawata). The data used are primary data from interviews with respondents and statistical data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency in secondary data and supported by literature studies. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis. The results showed that the business scale of broiler breeders in Kendari City started from 3,000 - 10,500 heads in one livestock period. Marketing of broilers in Kendari City is through two marketing channels, marketing channel I from small traders in the market to final consumers and marketing channel II from producers to wholesalers in the market to final consumers. The analysis results show that the marketing of broiler products in Kendari City is running efficiently, each of which is indicated by the value of FS = 91% in marketing channel I and FS value = 74% in marketing channel II. The total profit earned by traders in the marketing channel I am Rp. 1,800,870.83/month, which is smaller than the profit earned by traders in marketing channel II, which is Rp. 37,422,631,80/month. Consumer responses to the price level (Rp24,666.30/kg – Rp32,188.00/kg) broilers in the Kendari City market are cheap and satisfied with the frequency of consumer shopping once and every day for the last month.

Faktor penentu dalam pengembangan usaha peternakan khususnya untuk ternak ruminansia adalah ketersediaan hijauan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas rumput Pennisetum purpereum cv. Mott menggunakan dosis pupuk kandang sapi berbeda yang dimulai pada bulan Juni–Agustus 2022. Penanaman rumput dilakukan pada Laboraturium Unit Agrostologi serta uji nilai kandungan nutrisi pada Laboratorium Nutrisi dan Pakan Ternak Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Halu Oleo. Penelitian disusun berdasarkan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) terdiri atas 4 perlakuan dengan 3 ulangan. Hasil penelitian dengan pemberian pupuk kandang sapi dosis berbeda hingga 15 ton/Ha tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap kandungan bahan kering dan bahan organik Pennisetim purperium cv. mott, tetapi berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap kandungan serat kasar dan protein kasar

This study aims to determine the carcass components of super free-range chicken on fermented corn cobs with different levels. This research was carried out in the laboratory of the Poultry Livestock Unit, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, University of Halu Oleo Kendari. This study used 64 super free-range chickens using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments, namely P0 (feed without fermented corn cobs) P1 (feed containing 2% fermented corn cobs) P2 (feed containing 4% fermented corn cobs) P3 (feed containing 4% fermented corn cobs) feed containing 6% fermented corn cobs) and 4 replications. The variables observed were slaughter weight, carcass percentage, carcass components, and abdominal fat. The data obtained were tabulated and analysed using analysis of variance. The use of fermented corn cobs in feed with a level of 2-6% does not significant effect (P>0.05) on slaughter weight, percentage of carcass, but significant effect (P<0,05) on abdominal fat of super native chicken.

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lokasi sumber isolat rizobakteri terhadap daya hambat pertumbuhan koloni patogen penyebab busuk buah kakao secara in vitro. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Ilmu dan Teknologi Benih Jurusan Agroteknologi, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Syiah Kuala Darussalam Banda Aceh dari bulan September sampai November 2018, menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap non faktorial. Faktor yang diamati yaitu jumlah isolat rizobakteri yang berpotensi dalam mengahambat pertumbuhan koloni patogen penyebab busuk buah kakao dari dua lokasi pengambilan yang berbeda yaitu dari Tripa dan Gleumpang Minyeuk dengan 3 kali ulangan pada tiap perlakuan yang dilanjutkan dengan Uji Beda Nyata Jujur pada taraf 5% pada hasil uji F yang signifikan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pengambilan rizobakteri dari dua lokasi yang berbeda berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap daya hambat pertumbuhan koloni patogen penyebab busuk buah kakao, yang dijumpai pada perlakuan isolat rizobakteri GM 8/2 dengan daya hambat 58,23% dan GM 8/3 dengan daya hambat 51,59% dengan aktifitas penghambat sedang. Juga berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap laju penghambat pertumbuhan koloni patogen penyebab busuk buah kakao yang dijumpai pada perlakuan isolat rizobakteri TRI 4/7 dengan rerata laju penghambatan 4,76 mm/hari. Isolat rizobakteri yang mampu dalam melarutkan fosfat dijumpai pada perlakuan TRI 3/11, TRI 4/6, TRI 6/14, TRI 7/4, TRI 8/2, TRI 8/4, TRI 8/8, TRI 8/9, GM 3/6, GM 5/6, GM 6/1, GM 6/5, GM 7,/9, GM 8/3, GM 8/8 dan GM 8/11. The Effect Of Source Rizobacteria On The Inhibitory Power Of Growth Colony (Phytophthora palmivora) Pathogens Causes Of In Vitro Rotten Cocoa Fruit (Theobroma cacao L.) Abstract. This study aims to determine the effect of the location sources of rhizobacterial isolates on the inhibitory power of growth of pathogens causing cocoa fruit rot by in vitro method. This research was carried out at the Seed Science and Technology Laboratory of the Department of Agrotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala Darussalam University Banda Aceh from September to November 2018, used a non factorial Completely Randomized Design. The factors observed were the number of rhizobacterial isolates which had the potential to inhibit the growth of pathogens causing cacao fruit rot from two different locations, namely Tripa and Gleumpang Minyeuk with 3 Repeat times for each treatment were followed by an Honest Real Difference Test at the level of 5% on a significant F test result. The results of this study indicate rhizobacterial uptake from two different locations had a very significant effect on the growth inhibitory power of cacao rotten pathogenic colonies, which was found in the treatment of GM 8/2 rhizobacterial isolates with inhibition of 58.23% and GM 8/3 with inhibitory power 51.59% with moderate inhibiting activities. It also has a very significant effect on the rate of growth of the inhibitor of cacao rotten fruit pathogens found in the treatment of TRI 4/7 rhizobacterial isolates with an average inhibition rate of 4.76 mm / day. Rhizobacterial isolates capable of dissolving phosphate were found in the treatment of TRI 3/11, TRI 4/6, TRI 6/14, TRI 7/4, TRI 8/2, TRI 8/4, TRI 8/8, TRI 8/9, GM 3/6, GM 5/6, GM 6/1, GM 6/5, GM 7, 9, GM 8/3, GM 8/8 and GM 8/11.

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang pengaruh varietas dan dosis pemupukan NPK Mutiara terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman cabai merah (capsicum annuum L.). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Ilmu dan Teknologi Benih dan Kebun Percobaan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Syiah Kuala, Darussalam Banda Aceh. Pelaksanaan penelitian dimulai dari April sampai Oktober 2017. Rancangan percobaan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) pola factorial 5 x 2 dengan 3 ulangan. Unit percobaan terdiri atas 10 tanaman sehingga secara keseluruhan terdapat 300 tanaman. Dari setiap unit percobaan diamati 5 tanaman sampel sehingga secara keseluruhan terdapat 150 tanaman sampel. Adapun faktor pertama yang diteliti adalah varietas (V) yang terdiri dari V1= varietas PM-999 dan V2= varietas Lado. Faktor kedua yaitu dosis pupuk NPK Mutiara (P) yang terdiri atas 5 taraf yaitu P0 = Tanpa pupuk, P1= 10 gram/L, P2= 20 gram/L, P3= 40 gram/L, P4= 80 gram/L. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa varietas memberikan pengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, jumlah cabang, jumlah cabang produktif, jumlah bunga, jumlah buah, berat buah dan potensi hasil. Pemupukan NPK Mutiara memberikan pengaruh sangat nyata terhadap jumlah cabang, jumlah cabang produktif, jumlah bunga, jumlah buah, berat buah dan potensi hasil. Varietas terbaik dijumpai pada varietas PM-999. Secara keseluruhan kombinasi perlakuan terbaik dijumpai pada varietas PM-999 (V1) dengan dosis pupuk NPK Mutiara 20 gram/L (P2). Effect of Varieties and Dosege NPK Mutiara of Growth and Crop Production Red Chili (Capsicum Annuum L.)Abstract. This research aims to obtain information about the effects of varieties and dosege of NPK Mutiara fertilizer on growth and crop production of red chili (capsicum annuum L.). This research was carried out in the Seed Science and Technology laboratory and the agicultural faculty experimental garden, Syiah Kuala University, Darussalam Banda Aceh. The implementation of the research starts from April to Oktober 2017. The experimental design in this research using a Randomized Block Design, factorial design 5 x 2 with three replications, so there are 10 combination treatments and 30 units of the experiment. The experimental unit consists of 10 plants so that there were 300 plants in total. Every unit experimental observed 5 sample plants so that there are 150 sample plants in total. The first factors is varieties (V) consisting of V1 = PM-999 varieties and V2 = Lado varieties. The second factors is dosage of NPK Mutiara fertilizer (P), which consists of 5 stars extent that P0 = without fertilizer, P1 = 10 grams/L, P2 = 20 grams/L, P3 = 40 grams/L and P4 = 80 grams/L. From the results of the experimental it can be concluded that Varieties have a very real effect on the plant height, the stem diameter, the number of branches, the number of productive branches, the number of flowers, the number of fruits, the weight of fruits, and the potential results. The Fertilization of NPK Mutiara give effect significantly to the the number of branch, the number of productive branches, the number of flowers, the number of fruits and the weight of fruits. The best varieties are found on varieties PM-999. Overall the best treatment combination was found in PM-999 varieties with dosage of NPK Mutiara fertilizer 10 gram/L (P1). Community service activities carried out by a team of Faculty of Animal Husbandry lecturers integrated with the Thematic Community Service Program from the Halu Oleo University Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) in 2022 will be carried out in Bokori Village, Soropia District, Konawe Regency. Introducing techniques for structuring livestock farmer group organization management to chicken farmers in Bokori Village, Soropia District. This is intended so that farmers can run their livestock business in a more focused and coordinated manner. Introducing environmental management and livestock health so that the surrounding environment is clean and healthy and introduces medical treatment techniques, facsication of livestock. Introducing a system of maintenance, good housing management. Introducing feed to chicken farmers in Bokori Village. The feed technology in question is the technology of making local feed made from fish waste, as a reinforcement for chickens so that livestock needs can be met so that livestock productivity is more optimal.
