Abstract

Curriculum management study as a milestone in curriculum success ais important to be carried out as early as possible, considering that early age is a crucial period in shaping children’s character so that it becomes achy or foundation when children grow up. This is the basis for conducting research on nationalist and religious-based kindergarten curriculum management.This paper uses the library research method. The Result of this study that nationalist and religious-based kindergarten are special education for children with an age range of 4 to 6 years which emphasizes the values of nationalist and religious in each program. There are four(4) nationalist and religious-based kindergarten curriculum management procedures, namely planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating.

Abstract

Moral or character education has been playing an important role in educating children, teenagers, and younger people noble values of Japanese cultures. This research is based on two research questions: how the practice of moral education in Japanese schools is and how the model for improving character education in Indonesian schools is. This is a qualitative field research with phenomenological approach, in which the data were collected in Japanese schools by using observation, indepth interview, and documentary. The data were analysed descriptively and continuously. The Japanese government gave one hour  lesson for moral education in a week.  With the moral education, Japanese younger generation is expected to be able to adapt to the social environment and have the ability to think, to make effective decisions and to act independently. In addition, they are also expected to have  ability to identify issues they face, and be able to interact with others in international relations and play an important role in international world as well. Japanese moral education has been using the interactive and communicative approach, promoting moral discovery by learners themselves, avoiding the application of indoctrination approach, and no test or  final exam,  for every course of study in moral education (zero test).  In addition the most important thing is that moral education in Japan  applied an  integrated and connected approach among  three centers of education: school,  family, and  community.  All of three educational environments have very important role  as laboratory of  moral or character education.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of PAI teacher leaders in leading students to achieve their best achievements, opportunities and challenges for them to become PAI teacher leaders. The researchers used interviews, documentation, and observations to collect data. This qualitative research was conducted at several State High Schools in Central Java. They were SMAN 3 Semarang, SMAN 1 Demak, SMKN 4 Kendal, and SMKN 1 Salatiga. The data analysis model used by the researchers was the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. It involved data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawings. The research results show that PAI teacher leaders in several high schools play a role in leading their students to achieve the best achievements in student competitions. Apart from that, PAI teacher leaders have the opportunity to develop their leadership abilities if they are supported by a school principal who distributes his leadership roles well and has a democratic leadership style in leading the school so that teachers are involved in decision-making.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to find a visionary learning model for subject Islamic Education and Character (IE-C) to shape character. The application of visionary learning in IE-C based on idealism makes it possible to achieve learning objectives by achieving spiritual aspects with noble character, especially for Z generation. Hence, the educators are encouraged to integrate future competencies (4K) in all IE-C materials, so that they can optimize the potential of students' visionary intelligence that consists of SQ, EQ, IQ, and PQ. The research method used in this study is a descriptive analysis with qualitative approach The results of this study indicate that in visionary learning an educator tries to integrate faith and practice into all IE-C learning. This learning focuses on the habituation program and future motivation, thus encouraging the creativity of Z generation students to be critical, communicative and able to collaborate with their friends. So that, the growth of noble character in the students of Z generation, can be implemented and the results can be expected to be achieved.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze strategies for strengthening independent character and responsibility in Islamic-based secondary schools, focusing on the implementation of humanistic concepts in learning. The research method used was qualitative, with data collection through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis at SMP IT Cahaya Bangsa Mijen Semarang. The collected data was analyzed using the Miles and Huberman approach, involving the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed that strengthening independent character and responsibility is implemented through humanistic concepts, especially in building motivation and awareness of the importance of setting priorities in academic activities. The humanistic concept is reflected in the integration of PAI subjects version of the Ministry of Religion and CS IT with humanist character, presentation of Islamic Education material that supports an attitude of responsibility, and an assessment system that encourages honesty based on active and fun learning. The aspect of self-education is more strongly implemented through extracurricular activities based on religious values, such as memorization of the Quran, archery, swimming, scouts, and taekwondo. These five extracurriculars are considered important to increase perseverance, self-confidence, leadership, self-discipline, and mental strength as elements of independence. The school also involves parents in guided discussion activities, including home visits, communication through WhatsApp groups, and specific meetings at school, to ensure the effective implementation of independent character and responsibility for students. This research contributes to providing in-depth insights into character strengthening practices in Islamic-based secondary schools, providing a foundation for the development of further strategies in improving the quality of character education. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi penguatan karakter mandiri dan tanggung jawab di sekolah menengah berbasis Islam, dengan fokus pada implementasi konsep humanistik dalam pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan analisis dokumen di SMP IT Cahaya Bangsa Mijen Semarang. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan Miles dan Huberman, melibatkan tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penguatan karakter mandiri dan tanggung jawab diimplementasikan melalui konsep humanistik, khususnya dalam membangun motivasi dan kesadaran akan pentingnya mengatur prioritas dalam kegiatan akademik. Konsep humanistik tercermin dalam integrasi mata pelajaran PAI versi Kemenag dan CS IT yang berkarakter humanis, penyajian materi Pendidikan Islam yang mendukung sikap tanggung jawab, serta sistem penilaian yang mendorong kejujuran berbasis pembelajaran aktif dan menyenangkan. Aspek pendidikan mandiri lebih kuat terimplementasikan melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler berbasis nilai-nilai keagamaan, seperti hafalan Al-Quran, panahan, renang, pramuka, dan taekwondo. Kelima ekstrakurikuler ini dianggap penting untuk meningkatkan ketekunan, rasa percaya diri, kepemimpinan, disiplin diri, dan kekuatan mental sebagai unsur kemandirian. Sekolah juga melibatkan orang tua dalam kegiatan diskusi terbimbing, termasuk kunjungan ke rumah, komunikasi melalui grup WhatsApp, dan pertemuan tertentu di sekolah, untuk memastikan efektivitas implementasi karakter mandiri dan tanggung jawab bagi siswa. Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang praktik-praktik penguatan karakter di sekolah menengah berbasis Islam, memberikan landasan bagi pengembangan strategi lebih lanjut dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan karakter.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the strategies for strengthening religious Moderation and national defences in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) course, as implemented by Islamic Religious Education lecturers at the University of Indonesia. These strategies serve as a supplement to enhance students' understanding of moderate religious perspectives and deepen their national insight. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method conducted at the University of Indonesia. The data was obtained through in-depth interviews with PAI lecturers at UI, document analysis, and participatory observation. The data analysis process in this study consisted of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data was reduced by selecting and categorizing relevant information obtained from interviews, document analysis, and participatory observations. The reduced data were then systematically presented in a narrative form to facilitate the interpretation process. The final stage involved drawing conclusions by identifying patterns, relationships, and meanings that emerged from the overall analyzed data. The findings indicate that the implementation of Islamic Religious Education at the University of Indonesia follows the regulations governing General Compulsory Courses (MKWU) as mandated by the government. The Islamic Religious Education course at UI is part of the Higher Education Personality Development Program (PPKPT) under the University Course Management, Directorate of Education, University of Indonesia. In practice, PAI at UI is not only taught through classroom lectures but also supplemented with treatments and enrichment activities such as religious studies, personality, and organizational capacity development (Religious Moderation and National Defense Student Movement). These efforts aim to enhance students' religious knowledge and understanding while simultaneously strengthening their national insight.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the content knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, and pedagogical content knowledge of students of pre-service physics teachers at Walisongo Semarang. The type of research is quantitative descriptive. The samples were Physics Pre-service teachers at Universitas Islam Negeri Walisongo Semarang. The samples were 65 pre-service physics teachers determined by the purposive sampling technique. The method of collecting data used was a test, observation, and documentation. The results showed that pre-service physics teachers' content knowledge capabilities were in three categories, namely: 35% poor, 42% sufficient, and 23% good. The pedagogical knowledge test showed that 16% of physics pre-service teachers were in a good category, 77% were in a good category, and 7% were in a very good category. The results of the pedagogical content knowledge test showed that 12% of the pre-service physics teachers were in the poor, 30% were in the moderate category, 35% were in a good category, and 23% were in the very good category. Pre-service physics teachers had the lowest ability in determining other factors that influence teaching concepts, and the highest ability in determining important science concepts in the material to be taught. This research implies that remediation is needed to improve physics pre-service teachers' Pedagogical Content knowledge capabilities, which can be applied in the Plan of Learning course

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan aspek strategis yang berhubungan erat dengan dinamika manusia dan lingkungannya. Pondok pesantren memiliki peran sentral dalam membentuk karakter dan akhlak generasi muda melalui pendekatan keagamaan yang berakar pada budaya lokal. Dalam konteks Indonesia yang majemuk, internalisasi nilai moderasi beragama menjadi kebutuhan penting untuk membangun masyarakat yang toleran, adil, dan damai. Moderasi beragama dimaknai sebagai upaya untuk menyeimbangkan cara pandang dan perilaku umat dalam beragama agar terhindar dari ekstremisme dan intoleransi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji internalisasi nilai moderasi beragama dalam kurikulum Pondok Pesantren Al-Qur'an (PPQ) Safiinatunnaja, Wonosobo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif-deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus dan paradigma fenomenologis. Fokus kajian diarahkan pada sembilan nilai utama moderasi beragama, yakni al-tawassut, al-i'tidal, al-tasamuh, al-syura, al-Islah, al-qudwah, al-muwatanah, al-la 'unf, dan i'tiraf al- 'urf. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PPQ Safiinatunnaja telah berhasil menginternalisasikan nilai-nilai tersebut dalam pembelajaran, pembinaan karakter, serta hak dan kewajiban santri. Peran pengasuh dan asatiz sangat penting sebagai teladan nilai moderasi. Penelitian ini memberi kontribusi dalam pengembangan kurikulum pesantren yang inklusif, kontekstual, dan relevan dengan kebutuhan masyarakat multikultural.
