Abstract

Social studies education offers an integrated discipline that addresses societal issues, especially in elementary school. This subject has attracted considerable attention from the academic world as a reformed educational paradigm that has frequently been neglected. Nevertheless, there is a dearth of literature that integrates findings from prior studies. This study aims to examine the present condition of social studies education research in elementary schools. The researcher utilizes bibliometric analysis to investigate literature from the Scopus database using targeted keyword phrases. This study examines 235 out of 563 eligible papers that were subjected to screening. Instruments like Biblioshiny and VOSviewer are employed to assess metrics like productivity, impact, cooperation, and knowledge. Notwithstanding variations in citation rates, the results demonstrate an increasing interest in research regarding social studies teaching. The United States serves as the principal regional center for global networking, with significant contributions from Turkey and Indonesia as well. The examination of contemporary subjects and clusters offers possible theoretical frameworks and underscores upcoming research tendencies. This study provides significant insights and recommendations for future research to enhance social studies curriculum in primary schools.

Abstract

The Pancasila Student Profile is one of the government's efforts to internalize Pancasila values ??in society through education. This study was conducted to analyze the implementation of the Pancasila student profile in the independent curriculum, especially in differentiated learning methods in Elementary Schools. The purpose of this study is to describe the application of the Pancasila student profile in the independent curriculum for students of UPT SD Negeri 17 Durian, Medang Deras District, using the Pancasila student profile dimension indicators. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The research subjects were the principal, the fourth-grade homeroom teacher, and fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 17 Durian. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, then analyzed using data triangulation techniques. The results of the study show that the implementation of the independent curriculum is effective in shaping students' character. Most students are in the good category in the dimensions of faith and noble character (68%), global diversity (46.6%), cooperation (31.6%), independence (96%), creativity (21.6%), and critical reasoning (47.97%). Implementing this curriculum not only increases students' motivation and potential but also shapes their character, developing them into intelligent and disciplined individuals. These results imply that the independent curriculum can shape the Pancasila Student Profile.

Abstract

This study was prompted by the fact that students’ news writing skills are not yet up to standard, as evidenced by their difficulties in identifying ideas, structuring news articles and using journalistic language, as well as a lack of interaction during lessons. In fact, writing news articles requires not only a grasp of the 5W+1H elements, but also the ability to communicate, collaborate and provide feedback. This study aims to develop a journalism learning model focused on interpersonal intelligence to enhance the news writing skills of students at the University of Muhammadiyah North Sumatra. The study employed a research and development approach with a sample of 25 students. Data were collected through interviews, content expert validation, instructional expert validation, pre-tests and post-tests, and a student feedback questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using both quantitative and qualitative descriptive methods. The research findings indicate that the model developed is highly valid, with a validation rate of 90% among subject matter experts and 90% among learning experts. The model was also effective in improving news writing skills, as demonstrated by the increase in the average pre-test score from 64.5 to 83.8 in the post-test. Furthermore, student feedback on the model was overwhelmingly positive, with 91.65% of respondents expressing approval. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of journalism training with interpersonal skills through discussion, collaboration, presentations and feedback within a systematic, collaborative and contextual model of news writing.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul ajar berbasis QR-Code guna meningkatkan minat baca siswa kelas III Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian menggunkan metode Research and Development (RD) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SDN 101742 Hamparan Perak. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi angket, observasi dan wawancara yang melibatkan ahli materi, ahli bahasa, ahli media, guru dan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul ajar berbasis QR-Code memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis serta efektif dalam meningkatkan minat baca siswa. Dengan demikian, modul ajar ini layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar inovatif pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di sekolah dasar

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca peserta didik kelas II SD Muhammadiyah 12 Medan melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Model Reciprocal Teaching dipilih karena menekankan pada kegiatan belajar yang bersifat interaktif dan kolaboratif melalui empat strategi utama, yaitu merangkum, bertanya, mengklarifikasi, dan memprediksi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas II SD Muhammadiyah 12 Medan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, tes keterampilan membaca, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan membaca peserta didik setelah penerapan model Reciprocal Teaching. Pada siklus I, persentase ketuntasan belajar mencapai kategori cukup, sedangkan pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan hingga mencapai kategori baik

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis peran guru dalam pembelajaran IPAS kelas V pada implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru telah melaksanakan pembelajaran sesuai tahapan Kurikulum Merdeka dan menunjukkan penguasaan kompetensi pedagogik, kepribadian, sosial, dan profesional yang tergolong baik. Hasil ini mengindikasikan bahwa kekuatan utama terletak pada penguasaan materi, kemampuan menciptakan suasana belajar kondusif, serta pelaksanaan penilaian yang sistematis. Namun, penelitian ini juga menemukan keterbatasan signifikan pada aspek pemanfaatan media dan teknologi pembelajaran, optimalisasi peran guru sebagai motivator, serta pengelolaan kelas dan disiplin waktu. Implikasi penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa keberhasilan implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka tidak hanya bergantung pada pemahaman struktur kurikulum, tetapi juga pada penguatan kompetensi guru dalam pemanfaatan teknologi pembelajaran, strategi motivasional, dan desain pembelajaran yang lebih adaptif. Temuan ini memberikan dasar empiris bagi pengembangan program peningkatan kompetensi guru agar selaras dengan tuntutan Kurikulum Merdeka dan kebutuhan pembelajaran IPAS di sekolah dasar

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dengan rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa di kelas  dalam proses pembelajaran IPA. Rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa disebabkan guru jarang menggunakan media pembelajaran selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh media Pop Up Book terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik pada pembelajaran IPA kelas V SD 064966 Medan. Jenis pada penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan menggunakan desain penelitian one group pretes postes. Populasi pada penelitian ini berjumlah 20 orang siswa dan sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 20 siswa atau seluruh populasi. Teknik sampling menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh dimana seluruh populasi dijadikan sampel dengan jumlah populasi dibawah 50 orang.  Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh pada uji hipotesis adalah nilai sig(2-tailed) 0.000. Berdasarkan pengambilan keputusan pada uji hipotesis apabila sig 0.05 maka uji tersebut dikatakan signifikan. Maka pada penelitian ini adanya pengaruh media Pop Up Book terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik pada pembelajaran IPA kelas V SDN 064966 Medan
