Abstract

Abstract

This study investigates how customer perceptions of service quality and airline brand image affect customer loyalty and intentions to repurchase. By employing a systematic literature review (SLR) method in line with the PRISMA protocol, the research examines 50 articles indexed in Scopus that pertain to customer perceptions in the airline sector. The results indicate that favorable perceptions of service quality significantly impact brand image, thereby promoting customer loyalty and repurchase intentions. Mediating factors such as "brand love," "passenger loyalty," and "positive word of mouth" are essential in reinforcing these connections. Additionally, the study presents a conceptual framework for airlines to develop more effective strategies aimed at improving customer loyalty. This research not only addresses theoretical gaps but also provides practical insights for enhancing airline service strategies that yield long-term benefits for customer loyalty.

Abstract

Lion Air is a minimal expense transporter carrier and the biggest commercial aircraft in Indonesia. The Lion Air application on the Google Play Store and AppStore gets a low rating compared to other airlines, Lion Air's social media is less well known among the public and the low number of followers on Lion Air's social media compared to other airlines' social media and many comments containing complaints and Unanswered questions on Lion Air's Instagram page have resulted in a decline in Lion Air's Top Brand Index in the airline category over the last few years, so it is necessary to carry out appropriate marketing communications for Lion Air. The marketing communications carried out by Lion Air are expected to increase the airline's brand equity, so this research was conducted to determine and investigate the impact of web-based and electronic verbal entertainment (e-WOM) promotion exercises on the brand value of the airline Lion Air. This exploration uses quantitative techniques using multiple linear regression methods with a total of 140 respondents. The consequences of investigating the impact of marketing communication activities via social media and electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) together on the brand value of Lion Air airlines show the strong relationship between marketing communications via social media, electronic word of mouth and brand equity.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyse the effect of E-Service Quality and Price Perception on consumer loyalty, with consumer satisfaction as a mediating variable. Methodology/Approach: In January 2024, a survey was conducted on 105 respondents based on TopBrand survey data. The sampling process used the Roscoe technique and the probability sampling method. This survey was used to test the validity and reliability of the instrument and to test the hypothesis to identify the direct and indirect effects between research variables. The study indicates that e-service quality directly affects customer satisfaction and loyalty. Results/Findings: Price perception plays an important role in shaping customer satisfaction and loyalty, where customers who consider prices fair and in line with the value, they receive are likely to feel higher Satisfaction and stronger loyalty. Satisfaction, in turn, acts as a mediator, increasing the positive impact of e-service quality and price perception on loyalty. Conclusions: E-service quality and price perception significantly influence customer satisfaction and loyalty, with satisfaction acting as a mediator in strengthening these relationships. Businesses must enhance service reliability, responsiveness, and user-friendliness while ensuring competitive and transparent pricing to improve customer retention. Implementing data-driven strategies, proactive communication, and technological innovations will further sustain long-term customer satisfaction and loyalty.Limitations: The study only focuses on the logistics sector (J&T and JNE), so the results may not apply to other industries.Contribution: Highlights the relevance of the Expectancy Disconfirmation Theory (EDT) in digital services.

Abstract

The difficulties Indonesia's logistics and transportation industry faces in cutting carbon emissions in the face of rising air pollution and the destruction of coastal ecosystems are the driving force behind this community service project. As a natural remedy, mangrove planting seeks to enhance community well-being, preserve coastal ecosystems, and absorb carbon. On August 28, 2024, instructors and students from the Trisakti Institute of Transportation and Logistics participated in this activity at Jakarta's Angke Kapuk Mangrove Area. The 200 mangrove seedlings will be planted as part of the implementation strategy, which also includes socialization on the value of preserving the mangrove ecosystem and initial preparation, education, planting, and closing. The activity's outcomes demonstrated that participants were very enthusiastic and that their understanding of the importance of mangroves in mitigating climate change had grown. As a result, this project effectively met its primary objectives of lowering carbon emissions and increasing public awareness of the value of protecting the environment, creating the possibility of future conservation cooperation.
