Abstract

Abstract

21st-century learning requires all teachers to implement learning that integrates information and communication technology (ICT). The use of ICT in learning can be realized well if teachers can integrate technology, knowledge, and pedagogical expertise in teaching or what is known as Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK). One way to apply TPACK in learning is to develop Augmented Reality-based learning media. Teachers at MTs PPMI Assalaam have not mastered and applied technology in learning, especially Augmented Reality-based learning media. Based on this situation, the service team felt it was essential to increase TPACK knowledge and prepare Augmented Reality-based learning media through training. The results of the pretest and posttest after training showed an increase, and the participants' response to the service activities through a satisfaction questionnaire was said to be very good.

Abstract

Abstract Peron Village located on the western slopes of Mount Ungaran at an altitude of 700 meters above sea level, is in the upstream area of the Bodri Watershed, a priority watershed. Despite implementing an agroforestry system that combines forestry and agricultural crops, local farmers still rely heavily on synthetic herbicides containing glyphosate for weed control. This dependence poses serious risks to water quality, aquatic ecosystems, and the health of communities that rely on spring water. This community service program aims to improve ecological literacy and practical skills in making environmentally friendly herbicides using local ingredients such as coarse salt, vinegar, and sulfur. The activity was held at the Peron Village Hall with 25 participants representing the hamlets. The program included socialization of the concept of agroforestry, the theory of natural herbicides, and the practice of making organic herbicides using 1 liter of clean water, 500 g of coarse salt, 0.75 ounces of sulfur, and 100 ml of vinegar. The results showed that participants successfully produced an effective natural herbicide that controlled weeds within two days, albeit slower than synthetic herbicides, without damaging soil structure or polluting water sources. This success opens up opportunities for further development by utilizing agroforestry waste such as coffee husks as active ingredients, supporting the zero-waste concept and increasing the economic value of local commodities. This program aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals and can be replicated in other agroforestry areas in Indonesia.

Abstract

Cayenne pepper is a leading horticultural commodity in Indonesia. However, the productivity and quality produced have not met market expectations. One of the contributing factors is the low quality of the soil. For this reason, switching from inorganic fertilizers to organic fertilizers, such as Black Soldier Fly Frass (BSFF), is necessary because it can provide several nutrients crucial in improving the soil's physical, chemical, and biological properties. In this study, the formulation of BSFF was tested for its impact on cayenne pepper's growth response and yield. The research was arranged in a completely randomized design consisting of three treatments with three repetitions, namely P1 (100 grams of BSFF biofertilizer), P2 (250 grams of BSFF biofertilizer), and P3 (500 grams of BSFF biofertilizer). The results showed an interaction between doses of BSFF biofertilizer on plant height, physical conditions (color and size), number, and wet weight of cayenne pepper; which P3 gave the most optimal growth response and yield. In contrast to these results, all treatments reduced vitamin C to the high level of N nutrients in BSFF biofertilizer. Therefore, further research is needed to find the right dosage (below 100 grams/500 grams of media) so that cayenne pepper has a high vitamin C.

Abstract

The Indonesian government mandates that science teachers must have competence in designing science experiments for learning purposes so that science content can be learned optimally by students while preparing them to have the ability to face the 21st century. This is development research that aims to develop a measurement instrument for science experiment design skills for prospective science teachers that meets good psychometric characteristics. The rubric development procedure refers to the Churches rubric development method, which consists of four stages: define, design, do, and debrief, involving 10 experts (lecturers and teachers) and 124 prospective science teachers as research participants. The results of exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis showed that the analytical rubric developed by measuring ten aspects, namely title, research objectives, relevant theories, variables, materials, equipment and instrumentation, method, an appropriate number of data, references, and systematic and technical writing was valid in content (CVI=.96), valid in construct (GFI=.94; RMSEA=.071; NFI=.99; CFI=1.00; PNFI=.91), and reliable (α=.968). The use of a standardized rubric certainly allows the assessment to provide consistent, accurate, and objective results and helps students understand what competencies they must achieve.

Abstract

Coastal schools are highly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, including tidal flooding, erosion, and seawater intrusion, which disrupt educational processes and compromise community resilience. Strengthening environmental literacy within the eco-school framework is therefore essential to develop adaptive knowledge, critical thinking, and sustainable behavior among students. This community service project implemented a Green Literacy Bootcamp at SMP Negeri 25 Semarang, involving 45 students identified as prospective Green Warriors. The program comprised three phases: a two-day intensive training, a three-month follow-up, and a final reflection. Activities included communication workshops, creative campaigns, eco-project simulations, and student-led projects on waste management, urban farming, and tidal flood mitigation. The program was evaluated using a pre-post environmental literacy test and structural model analysis, complemented by a satisfaction survey. Results showed a substantial improvement in environmental literacy, with the largest gains observed in environmental hope and cognitive skills. Students also reported high satisfaction with the learning experience. This study contributes to the field of environmental education by offering a validated and replicable model for strengthening multidimensional environmental literacy and supporting eco-school development in coastal communities facing climate change challenges.
