Abstract

Menghadapi tantangan abad ke-21, pendidikan Indonesia menekankan penerapan soal Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) untuk melatih kemampuan berpikir kritis, kreatif, dan pemecahan masalah. Soal HOTS mencakup analisis (C4), evaluasi (C5), dan kreasi (C6), mendorong siswa tidak hanya menghafal tetapi juga memahami dan menyelesaikan masalah, termasuk isu lingkungan yang kompleks. Materi lingkungan berkelanjutan di kelas XI SMA penting untuk membangun kesadaran ekologis dan tanggung jawab siswa terhadap pelestarian alam. Penyusunan soal HOTS memerlukan langkah sistematis, mulai dari pemilihan Kompetensi Dasar, penyusunan indikator berbasis ABCD (audiens, perilaku, kondisi, derajat), hingga pembuatan kisi-kisi soal. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis soal pilihan ganda materi lingkungan berkelanjutan bagi siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Kandanghaur dan SMA Pesantren Unggulan AL-BAYAN. Pelaksanaan dilakukan pada April–Mei 2025 melalui platform Quizizz. Analisis soal mengacu pada prinsip indikator ABCD dan pedoman mutu evaluasi Sunartana (1986). Aspek yang dikaji meliputi validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran, daya pembeda, dan efektivitas pengecoh. Selain itu, berdasarkan taksonomi Anderson dan Krathwohl (2001), soal dianalisis untuk mengukur pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan secara utuh.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kualitas butir soal pilihan majemuk pada materi teori pembentukan alam semesta di kelas X SMA. Latar belakang dari penelitian ini adalah minimnya analisis mendalam terhadap butir-butir soal yang digunakan dalam evaluasi pembelajaran, sehingga berpotensi menurunkan efektivitas alat penilaian dalam mengukur pemahaman siswa secara menyeluruh. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada evaluasi validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran, daya pembeda, dan efektivitas pengecoh dari setiap butir soal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan analisis butir soal. Data diperoleh dari respons siswa terhadap soal-soal pilihan ganda, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik statistik untuk mengukur aspek-aspek yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar butir soal memiliki validitas dan reliabilitas yang tinggi, tingkat kesukaran yang tergolong sedang, serta daya pembeda yang baik. Selain itu, pengecoh dalam soal berfungsi secara efektif dalam mengelompokkan siswa berdasarkan tingkat pemahaman mereka. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa instrumen penilaian yang dianalisis sudah cukup baik dalam mengukur pemahaman konsep siswa. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam upaya peningkatan kualitas evaluasi pembelajaran Geografi, khususnya dalam penyusunan soal pilihan ganda yang mampu merefleksikan kemampuan kognitif siswa secara lebih akurat dan adil.

Abstract

The role of Social Studies teachers in internalising the value of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah aims to form a religious character in students. Qualitative approach through phenomenological method by means of observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The results show that the school conducts the process of internalizing Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah values by habituating students to be moderate, tolerant, balanced, and inviting goodness while preventing evil. Social Studies teachers facilitate the internalization of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah values through the stages of value transformation, value transactions, and value internalization. The limitations of inadequate technological facilities still hinder the Social Studies learning process. The results of this study indicate that, in the learning process, social studies teachers are not only focused on cognitive and psychomotor aspects as learning outcomes, but also should pay attention to affective aspects, which become an important factor in shaping the religious character of students.

Abstract

Misconceptions refer to understandings that do not align with scientifically accurate concepts. Identifying misconceptions is essential for enhancing learning effectiveness. This study aims to develop a Four-tier Diagnostic Test instrument to identify students' misconceptions regarding lithosphere dynamics in senior high schools in Cianjur Regency. The research employs the 4D development model with the Rasch Model, consisting of four stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. However, this study is limited to the identification stage. The sampling technique used random sampling, with a total sample of 440 students from five senior high schools. The Four-tier Diagnostic Test instrument was validated using the Rasch Model, with Outfit MNSQ values ranging from 0.66 to 1.37 and Outfit ZSTD values from -2.90 to 2.90. The instrument’s reliability, measured by Cronbach’s Alpha, was 0.74. The level of students’ misconceptions varied, with School P having the highest misconception rate at 32.4%, while School N had the lowest at 17.1%. Among subtopics, exogenous forces had the highest misconception rate at 29%, whereas tectonic processes had the lowest at 6.3%. In conclusion, the Four-tier Diagnostic Test is an effective instrument for identifying students' misconceptions regarding lithosphere dynamics.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how the implementation of authentic project-based assessment supports the development of students’ creativity in Social Studies learning at the junior high school level. The research method uses a mixed method approach with a descriptive-exploratory design, this study involved 28 seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 29 Bandung as research subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and project assessments using an authentic rubric based on Torrance’s four creativity indicators: fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The quantitative findings revealed that the students’ average creativity score was 11.8 out of a maximum of 16 (Good category), with originality showing the highest mean (M = 3.14) and flexibility the lowest (M = 2.79). Theoretically, these results reinforce Torrance’s model of creativity and Amabile’s componential theory within the context of social studies. Methodologically, this study introduces an authentic assessment rubric with high reliability (κ = 0.82). The novelty of this research lies in the application of authentic assessment through a three-dimensional physical project involving recycled materials, which integrates students' cognitive, social, and psychomotor aspects. In practice, the findings highlight the importance of designing contextual, sustainability-oriented projects to foster 21st-century competencies

Abstract

The implementation of deep learning requires assessment practices that are able to capture learning processes, higher-order thinking skills, and students’ performance in a meaningful way. In this context, authentic assessment is widely regarded as relevant; however, its adoption in schools has not yet been consistently realized. This study aims to explore teachers’ perceptions of authentic assessment adoption in deep learning by examining its characteristics through five innovation attributes: relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, trialability, and observability. A qualitative approach with a single case study design was employed in a public junior high school in Karawang Regency, Indonesia. Ten teachers from diverse subject areas were purposively selected as participants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis, and were analyzed thematically. The findings reveal that teachers perceive authentic assessment as advantageous for assessing learning processes, higher-order thinking skills, and student performance, particularly in practice-oriented subjects. Nevertheless, variations were found in terms of compatibility and observability across subjects, while implementation complexity emerged as a major constraint. Overall, authentic assessment adoption remains at an early stage and requires stronger school-level policy support, more structured assessment instruments, and continuous development of teachers’ assessment competence to ensure sustainable implementation. ABSTRAKPenerapan pembelajaran deep learning menuntut sistem asesmen yang mampu merepresentasikan proses belajar, kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi, dan capaian belajar siswa secara bermakna. Dalam konteks ini, asesmen autentik dipandang relevan, namun implementasinya di tingkat sekolah belum berlangsung secara konsisten. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi persepsi guru terhadap adopsi asesmen autentik dalam pembelajaran deep learning dengan menelaah karakteristik adopsinya melalui lima atribut inovasi, yaitu keunggulan relatif, kesesuaian, kompleksitas, kemungkinan dicoba, dan keteramatan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus tunggal yang dilaksanakan di salah satu SMP negeri di Kabupaten Karawang. Informan penelitian terdiri atas sepuluh guru dari berbagai mata pelajaran yang dipilih secara purposive. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi pembelajaran, dan analisis dokumen, kemudian dianalisis secara tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru memersepsikan asesmen autentik memiliki keunggulan dalam menilai proses belajar, kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi, dan unjuk kerja siswa, terutama pada mata pelajaran berbasis praktik. Namun demikian, tingkat kesesuaian dan keteramatannya bervariasi antar mata pelajaran, sementara kompleksitas penerapan menjadi hambatan utama. Secara keseluruhan, adopsi asesmen autentik masih berada pada tahap awal dan memerlukan dukungan kebijakan sekolah, ketersediaan perangkat asesmen yang terstruktur, serta penguatan kompetensi guru agar implementasinya berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kualitas butir soal Geografi pada materi Peta, Penginderaan Jauh, dan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) agar layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Data yang digunakan berupa hasil pekerjaan soal pilihan ganda yang disebarkan kepada siswa kelas X Sekolah Menengah Atas melalui Google Forms. Data dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif menggunakan bantuan Microsoft Excel. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) Uji validitas menunjukkan 17 butir soal berada dalam kategori valid dan layak digunakan; 2) Uji reliabilitas menunjukkan tingkat kepercayaan soal cukup tinggi; 3) Uji tingkat kesukaran menunjukkan terdapat 5 soal dengan tingkat kesukaran sedang; 4) Uji daya beda menunjukkan 12 soal memiliki daya pembeda baik; dan 5) Uji efektivitas pengecoh menunjukkan 2 soal memiliki pengecoh yang berfungsi secara efektif. Dengan demikian, sebagian besar butir soal layak digunakan sebagai instrumen evaluasi pembelajaran Geografi pada materi tersebut.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the Covid-19 pandemic which requires learning to be carried out online. Social studies learning, which is known to have a lot of memorization, requires social studies teachers to creatively prepare good lesson plans. One of the most effective ways to support social studies learning is by implementing digital literacy. Digital literacy is one of the skills that can support the achievement of the right education to support learning that applies 21st century skills. The method used is a one shot case study design pre-experimental method. This study involved social studies teachers and junior high school students. The implemented digital literacy includes Social Science learning materials for grade VII junior high school. In conclusion, the implementation of digital literacy in social studies learning during the Covid-19 pandemic is suitable to be applied to class VII students, because of students' difficulties in memorizing social studies material through the use of digital literacy.   Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pandemi ­Covid-19 yang mengharuskan pembelajaran dilaksanakan secara daring. Pembelajaran IPS yang dikenal banyak hafalan mengharuskan guru IPS dengan kreatif menyusun rencana pembelajaran yang baik. Salah satu cara paling efektif untuk menunjang pembelajaran IPS dengan menerapkan literasi digital. Literasi Digital merupakan salah satu keterampilan yang dapat mendukung tercapainya pendidikan yang tepat untuk menunjang pada pembelajaran yang menerapkan keterampilan abad-21. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode pre-eksperimen desain one shot case study. Penelitian ini melibatkan guru IPS dan siswa sekolah menengah pertama. Literasi digital yang dipenerapankan memuat materi pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial kelas VII sekolah menengah pertama. Kesimpulannya, penerapan literasi digital dalam pembelajaran IPS pada masa pandemi Covid-19 ini cocok diterapkan pada siswa kelas VII, karena kesulitan siswa dalam mengahafal materi IPS melalui pemanfaatan literasi digital.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of contextual STEM training designed for Subject Teacher Forum Subject Teacher Forum Geography teachers in Ternate, Indonesia, an island region facing geographical and educational challenges, where empirical evidence on localized and contextualized STEM professional development remains limited.  The research employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design with 20 participating teachers. Data were collected through a 20-item multiple-choice test validated by experts and analyzed using gain scores, inferential statistics, and effect size estimation. The results demonstrated a substantial improvement in teachers’ STEM knowledge, with the mean pretest score increasing from 8.90 to 13.20 (N-Gain = 0.59, moderate-to-high). Inferential analysis confirmed a significant improvement (p < 0.001) with a very large effect size (Cohen’s d = 2.44). Interestingly, teachers from non-education backgrounds achieved slightly higher learning gains compared to education majors, suggesting that contextual STEM concepts can be effectively acquired regardless of prior specialization. The findings confirm that short-term, localized, and context-based training is effective in enhancing teachers’ pedagogical knowledge, reducing initial disparities, and empowering educators to design relevant STEM-based geography learning. This model contributes to the growing body of research on STEM professional development, advances geography education through context-based pedagogy, and offers a replicable framework for teacher capacity building in island and under-resourced regions.

Abstract

This research is based on the importance of preparing evaluation instruments that are able to measure higher order thinking skills in a valid, reliable, and fair manner. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the quality of question items in Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS)-based Geography subjects that have been tested on class XI students of SMAN 2 Cikampek in the 2024/2025 academic year. The method used is descriptive with a quantitative approach, with a sample of 30 students selected randomly. The research instrument was in the form of 20 multiple choice questions that were done online through the Quizizz platform. Data analysis techniques include validity testing using product moment correlation, reliability testing using the Kuder-Richardson formula (KR-21), as well as analysis of difficulty level, differentiating power, and the effectiveness of exacerbators. The results showed that 14 out of 20 questions (70%) were valid with a high reliability value of 0.8122. Based on the level of difficulty, 65% of questions are classified as easy and 35% are classified as moderate, without any difficult category questions. Differentiating power analysis showed that 57% of the questions were categorized as very good, 21% as good, and the rest were classified as sufficient and insufficient. Meanwhile, most of the exemptions did not function optimally. These findings indicate that although most questions have met the criteria for good quality, improvements are still needed, especially in the aspect of exemptions.
