Abstract

The skincare industry in Indonesia is experiencing rapid growth, primarily driven by the significant development of e-commerce and increased consumer awareness of self-care. This surge has resulted in intense competition among brands. This comparative study aims to analyze the role of trust as a mediating variable that connects price fairness, celebrity endorsements, and e-WOM to repurchase intentions for two brands: Somethinc (a science-based brand) and Wardah (a halal-based brand). A quantitative research method was used, involving a survey with a 5-point Likert scale distributed to 150 millennials and Gen Z respondents in Semarang City. The data were analyzed using PLS-SEM (SmartPLS). The findings reveal that both celebrity endorsements and trust have a significant impact on repurchase intentions for both brands. In contrast, price fairness and e-WOM do not have a significant direct effect on either brand. However, the study shows that trust effectively mediates the influence of price fairness, celebrity endorsements, and e-WOM on repurchase intentions. This underscores the vital role of trust in enhancing customer loyalty to Somethinc and Wardah. These findings suggest that strengthening brand trust in skincare products can significantly boost customer loyalty.

Abstract

An organization's inability to build employee loyalty amidst competitive business pressures can have a direct impact on productivity, operational efficiency, and the retention of key talent. This study aims to analyze the role of job satisfaction as a key mediator in increasing employee loyalty at PT. Dua Kelinci. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method by distributing questionnaires to a total of 190 active employees of PT. Dua Kelinci. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results showed that Motivation, job stress, and job satisfaction were proven to have a significant effect on employee loyalty, while the work environment, workload, and work rewards did not have a significant direct effect. However, the job satisfaction variable was able to significantly mediate the relationship between Motivation, job stress, work environment, and workload on employee loyalty, but did not significantly influence employee loyalty through job satisfaction. These findings confirm that job satisfaction is not only the result of good working conditions, but also a key factor in building and strengthening employee loyalty indirectly. Practically, this study provides an important contribution to companies in designing strategies to increase employee loyalty. Theoretically, this study enriches the literature on mediation mechanisms in employee behavior models, particularly in the context of the manufacturing industry.

Abstract

This exploratory study aims to fill the research gap on unanswered findings in the Service-Dominant Logic (SDL) approach from the role of the inspiring value process. The novelty of this study's model framework is rooted in the SDL perspective that an inspiring value process will achieve shared value creation from the support of customer participation. In the end, this inspiration can shape values from product-centered to service-centered. Four hypotheses were developed and tested using PLS-SEM analysis techniques within a sample frame of 175 MSMEs in Central Java, Indonesia. The findings of this investigation produce four conceptual contributions. Firstly, customer participation has been proven not to impact improving marketing performance positively, but marketing performance can increase when bridged by an inspiring value process from customer participation. Thirdly, customer participation can provide leverage to inspire process value. Fourthly, the inspiring value process directly contributes positively to increasing marketing performance. Conceptual implications provide new propositions that can bridge inconsistencies in findings and empirical results, proving the role of the inspiring value process in contributing practically and theoretically to the SDL perspective
