Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the interaction between collectivism culture and agreeableness personality contributes in shaping altruistic behavior in army soldiers. This study uses a quantitative approach. The subjects of this study were soldiers of the Army who served in the Infantry Battalion 143 / Tri Wira Eka Jaya or Yonif 143 / TWEJ. Samples were collected using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was performed using multiple regression analysis techniques. The results showed that the culture of collectivism plays a significant role in increasing altruistic behavior, where individuals who have a collective orientation tend to adapt more easily to social norms that support altruistic actions. In addition, agreeableness personality also contributes to increasing altruistic behavior, especially in the context of teamwork and concern for unit colleagues. These findings confirm the importance of cultural and personality factors in shaping prosocial behavior in the military environment, as well as their implications in TNI AD personnel development strategies to increase cooperation and solidarity.

Abstract

This study aims to improve elementary school students' knowledge, awareness, and positive attitudes towards reproductive health and puberty through the implementation of Classroom Action Research (CAR)-based health literacy education. The study was conducted on grade VI A students of SDIT Bina Auladi, Depok City, using the Kemmis and McTaggart spiral model, which includes planning, action, observation, and reflection stages in two cycles. Learning interventions were carried out through the delivery of contextual materials, the use of visual media in the form of anatomical images and educational videos, and group discussions tailored to student characteristics. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests, as well as observations of learning activities, then analyzed descriptively and comparatively between cycles. The results showed an increase in student learning completion, from 15 students in the pre-cycle to 19 students in the first cycle and increasing to 21 students in the second cycle. These findings indicate that health literacy education is effective in improving students' understanding and positive attitudes towards physical and emotional changes during puberty. This study contributes to strengthening the application of Piaget's theory, Bandura's theory, and the Nutbeam health literacy model in reproductive health learning in elementary schools.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, kesadaran, dan sikap positif siswa sekolah dasar terhadap kesehatan reproduksi dan pubertas melalui penerapan pendidikan literasi kesehatan berbasis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK).

Abstract

Social media, particularly TikTok, plays a major role in shaping idealized beauty standards through intense and repetitive visual content. Continuous exposure to unrealistic ideals (e.g., slim body shape, fair skin, and “proportional” facial features) may encourage social comparison and contribute to negative body evaluation, leading to dissatisfaction with one’s ideal appearance. This condition can affect not only intrapersonal well-being but also interpersonal functioning, especially the way students perceive their social acceptance within peer and academic environments. This study aimed to examine the relationship between ideal appearance dissatisfaction and perceived social acceptance among university students who actively use TikTok. A quantitative approach with a survey design was employed. Participants were 150 university students aged 18–25 years who reported active TikTok use. Data were collected using a 50-item Likert-scale questionnaire measuring ideal appearance dissatisfaction and social acceptance. Descriptive and inferential statistical analyses were conducted using SPSS. The Pearson correlation analysis revealed a significant and strong relationship between ideal appearance dissatisfaction and perceived social acceptance (r = 0.624, p = 0.000 < 0.05). The findings indicate that higher levels of dissatisfaction with ideal appearance are associated with lower levels of perceived social acceptance among students. These results underline the importance of strengthening self-acceptance, improving media literacy, and promoting responsible TikTok use to reduce maladaptive social comparison and support students’ mental health and social functioning. Future interventions may focus on psychoeducation and campus-based counseling programs that encourage healthy body image and adaptive coping strategies in the digital era.
