Abstract

This research aims to identify the challenges faced in implementing Guidance and Counseling (GC) services in Indonesia and to explain 15 misconceptions held by students regarding the role of GC. Despite the important role GC plays in helping students develop their potential and plan for the future, challenges such as inadequate facilities, low collaboration among teachers, and a limited understanding of GC functions remain obstacles. This study utilizes qualitative data analysis with a systematic literature review approach to examine these issues. The findings indicate that, in addition to facility limitations, there is a need to enhance the competencies of GC teachers, intensify teacher collaboration, and increase the socialization of the GC role in schools. Moreover, the active involvement of school principals is deemed essential to improve the effectiveness of GC services. The research concludes that improving facilities, enhancing GC teacher competencies, strengthening teacher collaboration, and gaining support from the school administration are necessary for GC services to contribute optimally to students' development. Recommendations from this study include continuous training for GC teachers and increased efforts to raise awareness about the role of GC in schools across Indonesia.

Abstract

This study explores the career interests of deaf students at SMALB Pangudi Luhur using a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The research population consists of students from SMALB Pangudi Luhur, with a sample of 30 tenth-grade students. Data were collected using the Strong Interest Inventory (SII) instrument, which identifies career interest types based on John Holland's theory of vocational choice. The results indicate that deaf students have varied career interests, yet most lack clear career planning. The developed career guidance program aims to help students recognize their talents, interests, abilities, and the courage to make appropriate career choices. This program, formulated based on SII assessments, includes basic services, individual interest and planning, responsive services, and system support. Through an inclusive approach involving all stakeholders, the program strives to ensure that every student has access to explore their full potential in life. This study underscores the importance of targeted and focused career guidance to support the development and well-being of deaf children, enabling them to achieve success in education and their careers.

Abstract

The water transportation route from Bagan Benio Hamlet, Tasik Serai Village, Talang Muandau District,Bengkalis Regency to Tarik Serai Village is via a small river which is very dependent on tidal conditions. Therefore, thehull shape that is suitable for this area is a flat hull model. In this research, a canoe hull design has been made withdimensions LoA = 5.5 m, B = 1 m, H = 0.35 m and T = 0.15 m with a passenger capacity of 6 people. The material usedis mangrove meranti wood. To strengthen and prevent water seepage, the outer hull is coated with fiberglass material.The fabrication process begins with forming the shape of the canoe body in accordance with the position of the tuskswhich are 0.5 m apart. After the body frame is formed according to the plan drawing, the next step is to install the bottomand side slab boards and provide jelcot between the boards to prevent leaks at the joints. After the hull is closed, the nextstep is to laminate the outer hull with a layer of Matt and Woven Roving which is evenly moistened with resin. Betweenthe Matt and Woven Roving layers, threaded nails are provided to strengthen the stickiness of the wood to the fiberglasslayer. After the bottom has been finished and finished, the boat body is turned over and the interior and seating facilitiesfor passengers are completed.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk optimasi pengembangan karir pada anak tunarungu di SLB/B Pangudi Luhur, Jakarta Barat. Pendidikan bagi penyandang disabilitas masih dianggap belum maksimal, sehingga perlu dilakukan pembimbingan dan asesmen terhadap minat dan kepribadian anak tunarungu untuk membantu mereka mengenali bakat, ketrampilan, dan kemampuan serta memperoleh informasi yang cukup. Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan Teori Karir John Holland sebagai dasar untuk asesmen minat karir. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa responden memiliki minat yang bervariasi pada berbagai tipe kepribadian karir menurut teori Holland. Empat perlu diasesment ulang karena masing-masing memperoleh nilai skor yang sama pada ke enam tipe kepribadian karir, hal ini tidak sesuai dengan teori yang dikemukakan Jhon Holland yang menyampaikan nilai skor hendaknya bervareasi. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan panduan bagi guru dan pembimbing dalam mendampingi anak tunarungu dalam memantapkan karir mereka. Melalui pendekatan supervisi dan pemahaman individu, serta penerapan metode pembelajaran berbasis masalah, diharapkan anak tunarungu dapat memperoleh keterampilan yang diperlukan untuk sukses dalam dunia pekerjaan dan dapat meningkatkan kesempatan mereka untuk mendapatkan pekerjaan setelah lulus sekolah.

Abstract

A career is a process that a person experiences in his life. In the end, a person must have the skills to choose a career as a determinant of life in the future. Deaf people are people who lose the ability to hear, so they inhibit the processing of information through their hearing, whether or not they are wearing hearing aids. In general, deaf children have normal and average intelligence. Effective guidance needs to be based on accurate data. Therefore, before doing therapy, it is necessary to do an assessment first, which is to assess or recognize counselling in depth in various aspects. John Holland's theory helps identify students' career personalities according to types, traits and psychological characteristics (personality). It draws on the principles of Holland's theory, which groups individuals into six personality types and corresponding work environments. This study aims to provide practical guidance for parents, educators, and career counsellors. The aim is to improve the career readiness of deaf children and create a more inclusive and supportive environment for their professional growth.

Abstract

Abstrak— Kesehatan dan kebugaran fisik merupakan aspek penting dalam menjaga kualitas kehidupan seseorang. Salah satu yang umum dilakukan untuk menjaga kebugaran adalah Latihan push-up, namun pada saat melakukan push-up sering kali lupa pada repitisi yang telah dihitung karena terlalu focus pada Latihan push-up. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini dilakukan untuk merancang sistem penghitung push-up otomatis menggunakan mikrokontroler di Riyadh Gym Fitness Center. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif eksperimen. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa sistem  rancangan ini selain dapat menghitung jumlah repitisi juga dapat melihat jarak pada masing-masing push-up yang real-time. Kata Kunci: Sistem Penghitung Otomatis, Push-up, dan Mikrokontoler  Abstract— Health and physical fitness are important aspects in maintaining quality someone's life. One thing that is commonly done to maintain fitness is push-up exercises, but when doing push-ups you often forget to do the repetitions it was calculated because he was too focused on the push-up exercise. Therefore, this research was carried out to design an automatic push-up counting system using a microcontroller in Riyadh Gym fitness Center. The research method used is experimental quantitative methods. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that this design system Apart from being able to count the number of repetitions, you can also see the real-time distance of each pushup.Keywords: Automatic Counter System, Push-up, and Microcontroller

Abstract

Masyarakat di Desa Stambul Jaya, Kabupaten Aceh Tenggara, memanfaatkan tanaman purun tikus (Eleocharis dulcis) sebagai bahan baku untuk pembuatan kerajinan tangan. Produk-produk yang dihasilkan meliputi tikar, topi, keranjang belanja, tas, dan bakul. Serat purun juga dapat diolah menjadi papan komposit. Dalam penelitian ini, pembuatan material komposit menggunakan metode pengepresan cetakan dengan ukuran 20x20x0,5 cm. Penelitian ini mempelajari pengaruh variasi komposisi serat purun (5%, 10%, dan 15%) terhadap resin poliester, serta susunan serat (sejajar, acak, dan anyaman). Analisis sifat komposit meliputi gugus fungsi dan morfologi menggunakan FTIR dan SEM. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan terhadap serat purun dapat menurunkan kandungan lignin dan hemiselulosa. Spektrum FTIR juga mengindikasikan adanya vibrasi C=C pada cincin aromatik dan pergeseran vibrasi C-O (glikosida) pada beberapa sampel komposit. Sampel sejajar 10% menunjukkan adanya ikatan Si- O-C dari Vinyltrimethoxysilane pada 744cm-1. Hasil SEM sampel sejajar 5% tidak sejajar, karena serat purun tidak teratur saat pencetakan komposit akibat poliester, sehingga cetakan tidak penuh. Sampel acak 5% berbentuk tidak teratur, tipis, dan saling tumpang tindih, sehingga tidak kuat dan mudah patah. Anyaman 5% menunjukkan poliester di sela-sela serat purun, karena jumlah serat purun sedikit saat pencetakan komposit.Kata Kunci: Serat purun tikus (Eleocharis dulcis), komposit, poliester, sifat morfologi.People in Stambul Jaya Village, Southeast Aceh Regency, use the purun Tikus plant (Eleocharis dulcis) as raw material for making handicrafts. The products produced include mats, hats, shopping baskets, bags and baskets. Purun fiber can also be processed into composite boards. In this research, composite material was made using a mold pressing method with a size of 20x20x0.5 cm. This research studied the effect of variations in purun fiber composition (5%, 10%, and 15%) on polyester resin, as well as fiber arrangement (parallel, random, and woven). Analysis of composite properties including functional groups and morphology using FTIR and SEM. The results of the analysis show that treatment of purun fiber can reduce the lignin and hemicellulose content. The FTIR spectrum also indicated the presence of C=C vibrations in aromatic rings and shifts in C-O (glycoside) vibrations in several composite samples. The 10% aligned sample shows the presence of Si-O-C bonds from Vinyltrimethoxysilane at 744cm-1. The SEM results of the parallel samples were 5% not parallel, because the purun fibers were irregular when printing the composite due to the polyester, so the mold was not full. The 5% random samples are irregularly shaped, thin, and overlap each other, so they are not strong and break easily. 5% webbing shows polyester in between the purun fibers, because the amount of purun fibers is small when molding the composite.Keywords: Rat purun (Eleocharis dulcis) fiber, composite, polyester, morphological properties.

Abstract

Abstract. J.M. Coetzee's Disgrace's relational transgression analysis is essential to comprehending literary analysis, ethical ramifications, society impact, and human behavior. People can learn more about the reasons behind such offenses, as well as the psychological and sociological elements that play a role by analyzing David Lurie's acts and the effects they have.This research aims to analyze the relation transgression committed by the character David Lurie in J.M. Coetzee's novel Disgrace and to delve deeper into why individuals engage in actions that breach social norms and how such actions impact individuals and society. Using a literary psychology approach through a descriptive qualitative research method, this study reveals the dominant characteristics of Lurie that trigger relation transgression.  The whole research is conducted by means of descriptive qualitative research method using content analysis. The analysis results show that Lurie has a tendency to violate social norms, particularly concerning his sexual desires. His arrogance and reluctance to apologize exacerbate the situation and isolate him from his social environment. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the complexity of characters in literary works and the implications of violating relational bonds in individual lives. By referring to the theory of relational transgression, this research highlights how Lurie's actions not only impact himself but also those around him. Effective preventive and intervention techniques may be developed with the help of the examination of Lurie's relational transgression in Disgrace. Communities can be made safer, healthier, and more inclusive by educating people on the underlying causes and effects of such behavior. By understanding the root causes and consequences of relational transgression, it is hoped that more effective prevention and intervention strategies can be developed.Keywords: Apology; arrogance; relation transgression; sexual desire

Abstract

Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu (SDIT) pada dasarnya merupakan sekolah berbasis Islam yang berkomitmen dalam menerapkan program parenting dan keterlibatan orangtua sebagai salah satu program utama penentu keberhasilan pendidikan anak, karena sistem sekolah terpadu artinya sekolah dan orangtua sebagai mitra dan bersinergi atau terpadu dalam mendidik anak. Namun demikian masih ditemukan sejumlah SDIT yang belum menerapkan perencanaan program parenting sejak awal didirikannya dan hal ini tentu saja bertentangan dengan makna dan sistem sekolah terpadu itu sendiri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perencanaan program parenting di SDIT Kota Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada SDIT Nurul Islah Banda Aceh dan SDIT Bayyinah Tahfizhul Qur’ani Banda Aceh menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif melalui proses observasi, wawancara, dan telaah dokumentasi. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan program parenting berbasis kemitraan di SDIT Kota Banda Aceh belum melibatkan orangtua secara komprehensif, belum memiliki buku panduan khusus, dan kegiatan perencanaan pada setiap rapat kerja awal tahun ajaran baru dan tinjauan perencanaan pada awal semester berikutnya sekaligus rapat evaluasi pelaksanaan program parenting yang terkendala, serta hal terkait lainnya. Aspek-aspek yang ditetapkan dalam perencanaan meliputi penetapan: waktu, tempat, materi dan pemateri, serta media yang dibutuhkan dalam pelaksanaan parenting.Kata Kunci: Perencanaan Program, Parenting Islam Berbasis Kemitraan, Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu.Integrated Islamic Elementary Schools (SDIT) are basically Islamic-based schools that are committed to implementing parenting programs and parental involvement as one of the main programs that determine the success of children's education, because the integrated school system means that schools and parents are partners and synergize or are integrated in educating children. However, there are still a number of SDITs that have not implemented parenting program planning since their inception and this of course contradicts the meaning and system of the integrated school itself. The purpose of this study was to determine the planning of parenting programs at SDIT Banda Aceh City. This study was conducted at SDIT Nurul Islah Banda Aceh and SDIT Bayyinah Tahfizhul Qur'ani Banda Aceh using qualitative research methods through observation, interviews, and documentation review. The results of the data analysis showed that the planning of partnership-based parenting programs at SDIT Banda Aceh City had not involved parents comprehensively, did not have a special guidebook, and planning activities at each work meeting at the beginning of the new school year and planning review at the beginning of the next semester as well as evaluation meetings for the implementation of constrained parenting programs, and other related matters. The aspects determined in the planning include determining: time, place, materials and presenters, as well as the media needed in implementing parenting.Keywords: Program Planning, Partnership-Based Islamic Parenting, Integrated Islamic Elementary School.

Abstract

Minyak nilam merupakan salah satu minyak yang paling populer di industri minyak aromatic. Nilai ekonomis minyak nilam sangat ditentukan oleh kualitas dan konsentrasi komponen utama dalam minyak. Usaha penyulingan minyak nilam di daerah Lhokseumawe masih dilakukan menggunakan alat tradisional, sehingga kualitas minyak yang dihasilkan tidak memenuhi standar mutu yang ditetapkan. Kualitas minyak nilam ditentukan oleh karakteristik alami masing-masing minyak dan komponen asing yang tercampur di dalamnya. Adanya komponen asing tersebut tentunya akan menurunkan kualitas minyak nilam yang dihasilkan. Proses purifikasi secara kimia atau fisika sangat dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan mutu dan nilai jual minyak nilam. Proses purifikasi yang dilakukan adalah untuk pemurnian minyak nilam hasil produksi industri lokal. Proses pemurnian ini bisa menghasilkan minyak yang lebih cerah dan karakteriknya memenuhi persyaratan mutu standar. Artikel ini merupakan hasil uji laboratorium terhadap minyak nilam produksi lokal Desa Meunasah Mee Kecamatan Muara Dua Kota Lhokseumawe
