Abstract

Students with special needs often face unique challenges in identifying and pursuing career paths that align with their abilities and interests. Previous studies have shown that tailored career guidance and vocational training can significantly enhance their career prospects and independence. This study explores the career interests of students with special needs at SMALB Pangudi Luhur, Jakarta, using the Strong Interest Inventory (SII) to identify interests across various fields such as STEM, Marketing, Sales and Services, Hospitality and Tourism, and Education and Training. The research, involving 30 students aged 17-21, reveals that many career options align with their visual abilities, while abstract and high-intelligence roles are less feasible. The findings highlight the need for tailored career guidance programs that include hands-on training and practical experiences to help these students understand and pursue suitable career paths. This study underscores the importance of vocational training and self-awareness in fostering career independence for students with special needs. It provides a basis for developing inclusive and culturally relevant career counseling programs.

Abstract

impacts if not properly managed. Adolescent anger is triggered by various factors such as frustration, provocation, and misunderstandings, and if uncontrolled, it can lead to aggressive behavior. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an effective therapeutic approach to help adolescents manage their anger. CBT focuses on the interaction between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, aiming to identify and change negative thought patterns that lead to anger. Through CBT, adolescents are taught emotional regulation and social problem-solving skills, enabling them to respond to challenging situations more assertively. Research shows that applying CBT to adolescents effectively reduces aggressive behaviors and enhances anger control. Thus, CBT is proven to be an effective method in helping adolescents overcome anger issues and develop more positive behavior.

Abstract

This study is about what particular people belong to the particular ethnic have in mind as their ideology to see the environment, reflected from traditional fishing ritual in Acehnese speech community under the eco-linguistic perspective. In addition, with reference to social praxis, ecolinguistics recognizes three dimensions, namely ideological, sociological, and biological dimensions relating to the exploitation of the environment for fishing through ritual speech. The purpose of this study is to determine the ideology reflected in the speech. The study employed a qualitative research methodology, utilizing a phenomenological approach. The study makes use of verbal expressions expressed by naval commanders, gathered through a combination of participatory observation and comprehensive interviews at a central location of fish market and sanctuary in Banda Aceh, Aceh Indonesia. The data collected serve as the basis for the analysis and interpretation of the research findings. The respected ideology was then compared to the concept of ecosophy. The results of the analysis show that the ritual holistically contains the ideology of environmental preservation. The efforts to assist the natural, social, and spiritual preservations, specifically in marine environments, are obviously detected in the discourse. The ideology offered is in accordance with the concept of ecosophy, which includes beneficial discourse. However, part of the utterances also reflect the ambivalent discourse, but not the destructive one.

Abstract

Ilmu administrasi sebagai disiplin ilmu telah berkembang pesat sejak awal kemunculannya dan kini memainkan peran krusial dalam organisasi publik maupun swasta. Artikel ini membahas perkembangan ilmu administrasi, konsep-konsep utama, serta tantangan yang dihadapi di era globalisasi. Dalam konteks yang lebih luas, penelitian ini menyoroti bagaimana faktor kepemimpinan, kebijakan publik, dan inovasi teknologi membentuk dinamika administrasi modern. Melalui tinjauan literatur dan analisis komparatif, artikel ini mengidentifikasi tren masa depan yang akan memengaruhi praktik administrasi di tingkat global.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan kalibrasi TLD Badge di udara dan permukaan fantom menggunakan sumber radiasi pesawat sinar-X konvensional tipe Allenger 100R. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi TLD Badge dengan menentukan besarnya nilai faktor kalibrasi, mengetahui besarnya faktor hamburan balik (backscatter factor) serta mengetahui estimasi dosis radiasi di permukaan fantom. Penelitian menggunakan solid water phantom sebagai pengganti tubuh radiografer, TLD Badge sebagai detektor yang akan dikalibrasi dan detektor Unfors-X2 sebagai detektor standar. Dosis radiasi yang digunakan pada penelitian (0,5; 1; 3; 5; 7,5) mGy dengan tegangan (50; 60; 70; 80; 90; 100) kV. Hasil kalibrasi menunjukkan bahwa TLD Badge berada dalam kondisi baik dan besarnya faktor kalibrasi TLD Badge  yang diperoleh dapat digunakan untuk menentukan estimasi dosis radiasi yang diterima pekerja radiasi. Besarnya nilai faktor kalibrasi berdasarkan tegangan referensi 70 kV diperoleh sebesar 0,018 mGy/nC  mendekati dengan nilai faktor kalibrasi TLD Badge yang telah dilakukan oleh pihak PTKMR BATAN yaitu 0,020 mGy/nC. Nilai backscatter factor TLD Badge memiliki pola yang sama dengan protokol IAEA TRS No.457. Backscatter factor TLD Badge yang diperoleh dapat menambah literatur backscatter factor di protokol IAEA TRS No.457 untuk luas lapangan radiasi 350 cm x 350 cm . TLD Badge has been calibrated in air and phantom surface using radiation source of x-ray conventional type allenger 100R. The study aims to determine of the condition of the TLD Badge by determining the value of the calibration factor, knowing the magnitude of the backscatter factor and knowing the estimated radiation dose on the phantom surface The study uses solid water phantom as a substitute for the body of the radiographer, TLD Badge as a detector to be calibrated and Unfors-X2 detector as a standard detector. The radiation dose used in this study (0.5; 1; 3; 5; 7.5) mGy with voltage (50; 60; 70; 80; 90; 100) kV. Calibration results show that the TLD Badge is in good condition and the magnitude of the TLD Badge calibration factor obtained could be used to determine the estimated radiation dose received by the radiation worker. The value of the calibration factor based on the 70kV reference voltage obtained by 0.018 mGy /nC is close to the TLD Badge calibration factor value that has been carried out by PTKMR BATAN which is 0.020 mGy /nC. Backscatter factor value TLD Badge has the same pattern as the IAEA TRS protocol No.457. The TLD Badge backscatter factor obtained can add to the backscatter factor literature in the IAEA TRS protocol No.457 for the 350 cm x 350 cm radiation field area.

Abstract

The problems faced by the local community are: Lack of knowledge and skills of business actors in marketing their creative business products to a wider community outside the Polewali Mandar district area. The objectives and output targets to be achieved in this activity are that the partner village community can and is able to use social media and E-Commerce applications to market their creative business products or crafts independently and the number of sales of handicraft products and the income of the community of SME players in Alu Village, Alu sub-district increases. The method of implementing this service is the participatory counseling method; demonstration training method and practical activities by participants; and the method of mentoring and assisting community participants (creative business actors).

Abstract

Program pengabdian ini merupakan program yang dilakukan untuk membantu usaha masyarakat pedagang kaki lima yang berada dibawah binaan Event Organizer (EO) Nusantara Muda Pratama yang beroperasi di pulau Bengkalis Kabupaten Bengkalis. Hal ini sangat diperlukan dalam upaya meningkatkan pendapatan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidup mereka sehari-hari. Usaha yang dikembangkan adalah kelompok pedangan kaki lima yang berjualan berbagai jenis makanan. Mobile gerobak ini sangat diperlukan ketika lokasi berjualan selalu berpindah-pindah. Mobile gerobak dibuat dengan ukuran Panjang 200 cm, lebar 80 cm dan tinggi 180 cm terbuat dari konstruksi besi hollow galvanis. Material diding terbuat dari GRC serta dilengkapi dengan beberapa fasilitas untuk keperluan berjualan seperti tempat gas, tempat etalase makanan dan tempat peralatan lainnya. Sedangkan untuk mempermudah mobilisasi gerobak ini dilengkapi dengan 2 roda dibagian belakang dan 1 roda dibagian depan agar mudah untuk dipindahkan.

Abstract

The novel Lelaki Harimau by Eka Kurniawan describes the life of Javanese people during the Japanese colonial period. In the novel, there are various kinds of social problems, one of which is crime. This research aims to describe the forms of crime in the novel. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques in the form of library research. The theory used is criminal psychology with a literary psychology approach to bridge the study of psychology and literature. The results of the research show that there are three forms of crime in the novel: domestic violence, sexual harassment and rape committed by the major characters. The domestic violence as well as raping is done by a husband towards his wife; something weird but that is the truth. Sexual harassment is experienced by other female characters owing to hegemony of power and money. The research shows that crime is one of the social problems that occurs in society. These crimes can be caused by various factors, such as poverty, social inequality and family conflict.

Abstract

Fake marriages, though often portrayed as harmless arrangements in fictional narratives, can lead to complex and far-reaching consequences in the lives of the characters involved. This study aims to explore the negative impacts of a fake marriage on the protagonist’s life in Tess Wakefield’s novel Purple Hearts. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, the study uses M.H. Abrams’ theory of literary analysis as its primary analytical framework. Additional relevant theories are incorporated to support the interpretation of the data. The analysis reveals that the fake marriage in the novel results in several negative consequences, including legal, financial, and emotional repercussions. The protagonist engages in the marriage to resolve personal financial difficulties. Despite these challenges, the characters—Cassie and Luke—eventually develop genuine affection, suggesting a transformative journey shaped by their experiences. The study highlights how a fake marriage, initially entered into for practical reasons, can evolve into a meaningful relationship, albeit through significant personal and relational struggles. These findings underscore the complex emotional and ethical dimensions of such arrangements in contemporary fiction.

Abstract

Defamation is an act that harms an individual’s reputation through the spread of false statements. It is commonly categorized into two forms: libel, which involves written defamation, and slander, which refers to spoken or direct defamation. This research focuses on slander as a form of defamation that deeply impacts Mariah, the protagonist in Hamka’s novel Terusir. The study examines the consequences of defamation on Mariah, who, as a victim, endures severe hardships and social alienation. Adopting a sociological approach to literature, this research situates defamation within the context of real-world social dynamics, emphasizing its destructive potential within both fictional and actual communities. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were gathered from the novel’s narrative, as well as from monologues and dialogues. Terusir by Hamka serves as the primary data source, supplemented by secondary references that enhance the contextual analysis. Findings reveal that Mariah suffers extensively from defamation: she is publicly shamed and expelled from her home by her husband during a stormy night, symbolizing her isolation and loss of dignity. This defamatory act not only tarnishes Mariah’s identity as a respected mother and wife but also severs her relationship with her son, leading her into a state of near madness fueled by profound emotional turmoil and an overwhelming sense of loss.
