Abstract

Anchovy is a widely consumed marine food source in Indonesia and has the potential to serve as a vital nutritional resource. This study aimed to analyze the primary nutrient contents of anchovy, including protein, total fat, phosphorus, calcium, and iron levels. Nutritional composition analysis was conducted through laboratory testing using scientifically validated standard methods. The results were analyzed descriptively to provide an overview of the chemical composition of anchovy. The findings revealed that anchovy contains 31.5% protein, indicating its value as a rich source of animal protein. The total fat content was measured at 4.76%, suggesting a relatively low to moderate fat level. Furthermore, phosphorus content was recorded at 227.8 mg/kg, calcium at 2.45%, and iron at 36.1 mg/kg—all essential minerals for physiological functions. Based on these results, anchovy demonstrates strong potential as a highly nutritious local food source that could significantly contribute to meeting the community's nutritional needs.

Abstract

Sweeteners, preservatives, and caffeine in soft drinks can pose health risks if consumed excessively. This study aimed to develop a method for the simultaneous determination of acesulfame, saccharin, cyclamate, aspartame, caffeine, benzoate, and sorbate in carbonated soft drinks. The analysis was conducted using reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) with a dual-wavelength PDA detector (Shimadzu LC-20AD), a C18 column (Shimadzu), and a UV-Vis spectrophotometer (Shimadzu). Standard materials included acesulfame-K, saccharin-Na, cyclamate-Na, aspartame, caffeine, benzoate-Na, and sorbic acid. Samples were obtained from a supermarket in Medan, Indonesia. Optimization parameters included detection wavelength, mobile phase pH, column oven temperature, and mobile phase composition. Validation parameters assessed were linearity, limit of detection (LOD), limit of quantification (LOQ), accuracy, precision, and selectivity. The optimized method employed a mobile phase of phosphate buffer (pH 3.8) and methanol (80:20, v/v) at a flow rate of 0.55 mL/min and column oven temperature of 40 °C. Detection was carried out at 200 nm for cyclamate, caffeine, aspartame, and benzoate, and at 220 nm for acesulfame, saccharin, and sorbate. Validation results showed the method met all requirements, with recovery rates ranging from 95.21% to 99.82%, system suitability values of 1.0%–1.9%, and precision values between 1.65% and 2.48%. The method also demonstrated good selectivity. The concentrations of acesulfame, saccharin, cyclamate, caffeine, benzoate, and sorbate in the analyzed samples did not exceed the maximum permissible limits.

Abstract

Sistem pelayanan kesehatan merupakam bagian penting dalam meningkatkan derajat kesehatan. Keberhasilan sistem pelayanan kesehatan tergantung dari berbagai komponen diantaranya perawat, dokter, atau tim kesehatan lainnya. Anak usia sekolah salah merupakan salah satu kelompok yang rentan terhadap karies, karena umunya masih mempunyai pengetahuan dan perilaku yang kurang terhadap karies gigi pada masa ini anak mulai belajar memperhatikan perilaku hidup dari lingkungan sekitar mulai berinteraksi dengan banyak teman, mengenal dan meniru apa yang dilihat, dampaknya dapat berakibat menguntungkan atau merugikan bagi kesehatan gigi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatahui “Upaya Pencegahan Karies Gigi Pada Anak Usia Sekolah Dasar Kelas V di SD Bineh Krueng Kabupaten Abdya Tahun 2019” Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif pada tanggal 15-18 juli 2019 populasinya adalah seluruh murid sekolah dasar kelas V SD Bineh Krueng berjumlah 90 orang dan sampelnya berjumlah 30 orang secara judgment sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dari 30 responden yang paling banyak kategori kurang berjumlah 23 orang (76,7%) dan kategori baik berjumlah 7 orang (23,3%). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa banyak murid berkriteria kurang sehingga perlu peningkatan pendidikan kesehatan gigi kepada anak anak sd tersebut dengan diadakan nya penyuluhan melalui program UKGS sehingga dapat menurunkan angka karies gigi pada anak sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi komputerisasi dan telekomunikasi telah mengubah budaya sehari-hari. Internet adalah salah satu media informasi yang digunakan di era yang sangat berkembang ini untuk komunikasi dan bisnis. Saat ini, calon penumpang harus datang langsung ke lokasi untuk membeli dan memesan tiket melalui metode pemesanan tiket bus tradisional. Calon penumpang sering bersusah payah untuk mendapatkan tiket pada periode tertentu, karena jarak dan keterbatasan waktu untuk datang langsung ke Agen Bus Malam Hiba Utama Klari. Agen bus malam Hiba Utama Klari didirikan pada tahun 2016 oleh Edi dengan satu jurusan, yaitu Klari-Wonosobo, bekerja sama dengan PO.Hiba Utama untuk membuka layanan pemesanan tiket bus malam. Pada tahun 2018, jurusan baru yaitu Karawang-Yogyakarta-Jombor dibuka, bekerja sama dengan PO.Hiba Utama lainnya. Agen bus ini semakin berkembang setiap tahun. Model Waterfall dipilih dalam penelitian ini. Aplikasi dibuat menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan database MySQL, dan sistem dirancang menggunakan notasi Unified Modelling Language (UML). Sistem pemesanan dan pembayaran tiket bus berbasis web adalah hasil dari penelitian ini.

Abstract

The degenerative disease of memory that most attacks the frontal lobe is Alzheimer's. Therapy for Alzheimer's is mostly done by targeting an increase in the amount of acetylcholinesterase in the synapse cleft by inhibiting the enzyme acetylcholinesterase. The purpose of this study is to conduct a comparative study of vitexifolin E compounds from the vitexium plant family with donepezil to obtain more precise and targeted drug candidates in Alzheimer's therapy. The results showed that donepezil compounds have a more active probability (0.53) of being carcinogenic compared to vitexifolin E with the web-based application Protox II. Tests with in silico studies found that the hydrogen bonding results of vitexifolin E had values close to those of donepezil drugs, as well as RMSD results with receptors between donepezil and vitexifolin E (1,781; 1,281) and free energy obtained (-6.9; -7.8). Based on these results, it can be concluded that vitexifolin E compounds can have good enough potential to be developed in implementing the treatment of Alzheimer's disease therapy.

Abstract

Introduction: Public health education plays an important role in promoting healthy living behaviors and reducing the burden of preventable diseases. However, the effectiveness of various health education programs in consistently changing individual behavior is still a topic of scientific discussion. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of public health education programs in improving healthy living behaviors, such as increased physical activity, healthy diet, smoking cessation, and adherence to preventive health checks. Research Methodology: This systematic review follows the PRISMA guidelines and includes a literature search from PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science databases for studies published between 2010 and 2024. Included studies should evaluate public health education interventions aimed at improving one or more healthy living behaviors in the general population. Data were collected and analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively to assess the impact of the intervention. Results: Of the 3,267 articles identified, 42 studies met the inclusion criteria. The majority of effective programs combine a community-based approach, digital media, and local stakeholder engagement. Overall, there was a significant improvement in healthy living behaviors in the intervention group compared to the control group, with the most pronounced effect on increased fruit and vegetable consumption and increased frequency of physical activity. Conclusion: Public health education programs are generally effective in promoting healthy living behaviors, especially when designed in a participatory manner and based on local contexts. These results support the importance of health policy development that encourages educational interventions as part of a sustainable health promotion strategy

Abstract

The implementation of an effective quality management system is essential in improving the quality of education in high school. This study aims to illustrate the implementation of the Total Quality Management (TQM) model in supporting the work quality culture at SMAN 1 Kelumpang Utara. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. In-depth interviews, participant observations, and documentation were carried out on the principal, 15 teachers, 3 staff, 1 head of sub-division, and 15 students. The data was analyzed using the Miles and Huberman Models, which include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The findings show that TQM has been implemented at SMAN 1 Kelumpang Utara with an emphasis on creating consistency of goals, improving the quality of graduates and services, improving the quality and productivity of school stakeholders, leadership in education, eliminating fear and obstacles to success, creating a culture of quality, process improvement, helping students succeed, commitment, and responsibility. However, there are still obstacles in the total involvement of all school members and continuous improvement. A TQM implementation model is necessary to support a quality work culture that involves staff engagement, leadership, partnerships, reward systems, and organizational quality. These components must be based on a system of values, norms, and culture formulated in a vision, mission, and goals that are understood by all members of the organization.

Abstract

Oral health education through home visits using the Sogi book for elementary school-aged children in Batoh village is an effective approach to improving the quality of one's health through improved dental health. This community service project was conducted using analytical methods, targeting children and their parents as respondents. Data analysis used univariate analysis using the T-test. The intervention provided included problem-based counseling, measuring children's dental health status, and demonstrating tooth brushing. The results showed an increase in mothers' knowledge, attitudes, and practices, as well as improvements in children's dental hygiene after the educational intervention through home visits using the Sogi Book. The average scores for knowledge, attitudes, and practices decreased (became better) from pre-intervention to post-test 1, and further decreased at post-test 2. These changes demonstrate a consistent and sustainable pattern, indicating that the education provided is not only effective in the short term but also maintains its impact in the medium term. The decrease in the PHPM score from 2.14 at pre-intervention to 1.10.

Abstract

This study is grounded in the importance of curriculum development in improving the quality of education at the secondary school level. An adaptive curriculum that aligns with the needs of both students and the wider community is expected to foster the optimal achievement of educational goals. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis followed the stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing to provide an in-depth understanding of the curriculum development process at SMAN 1 Kelumpang Utara. The findings reveal that curriculum development at SMAN 1 Kelumpang Utara has been implemented in accordance with established procedures, particularly in the aspects of planning, implementation, and evaluation. The results align with the CIPP model of curriculum evaluation, which emphasizes the integration of context, input, process, and product. Nevertheless, challenges remain, particularly the limited involvement of teachers and the community in each stage, indicating that the principle of relevance to learners’ and environmental needs has not been fully realized. Overall, the developed curriculum has contributed positively to educational quality, yet it still requires strengthened coordination, collaboration, and continuous adaptation to both national policy dynamics and local needs.

Abstract

Diesel engine generator merupakan permesinan yang mengubah tenaga mekanik menjadi energi listrik di atas kapal. Dalam pengoperasian generator, mesin didukung dengan sistem pendingin air tawar yang bersirkulasi agar mesin tidak menimbulkan panas yang berlebih. Pendingin air tawar ini mendinginkan komponen-komponen generator yang bergerak dan menimbulkan panas. Air tawar masuk melalui cylinder head pada seating exhaust valve untuk mendinginkan exhaust valve yang bekerja disuhu tinggi dikarenakan dari gas buang pembakaran. Kerusakan pada seating exhaust valve akan menimbulkan pengaruh besar bagi kinerja diesel engine generator. Penelitian ini membahas pengaruh kebocoran serta langkah penanganan pada seating exhaust valve generator cylinder nomor 1 di KM. Oriental Galaxy. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan fishbone analysis serta proses pengambilan data dilakukan dengan dokumentasi, wawancara, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebocoran sistem pendingin seating exhaust valve generator cylinder nomor 1 disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor seperti jam operasional yang melebihi dari panduan manual book dan minimnya perawatan pada mesin diesel generator. Faktor-faktor ini berdampak pada mesin yaitu penurunan suhu gas buang cylinder head nomor 1, peningkatan suhu fresh water out generator nomor 1, dan penurunan volume air pada expansion tk. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan penggantian cylinder head nomor 1 dengan sparepart yang baru agar generator dapat bekerja secara optimal dan kebutuhan listrik di kapal tetap terjaga.
