<![CDATA[Abstract: This research aims to describe the critical thinking skills of students in class X Pi SMA IT Al-Ittihad Pekanbaru through the implementation of Metacognitive Strategies in lesson temperature and heat. The research used pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects were students of class X Pi totalling 19 female students. The instrument of data collection in this study is the critical thinking skills test. Analysis of the data in this study is a descriptive analysis to see an overview of the critical thinking skills of student by using 3 criterias are: (1) absorption, (2) increase critical thinking skills of students in 5 indicators of critical thinking skills (analysis, synthesis, recognize and solve problems, conclude, and evaluate), (3) effectiveness of learning. The research showed the critical thinking skills of student in class X Pi SMA IT al-Ittihad Pekanbaru through the implementation of Metacognitive Strategies in lesson temperature and heat are in good category (70,1%), increase critical thinking skills of students in each of the indicators of critical thinking skills in middle category , and the effectiveness of learning through metacognitive strategies to improve students' critical thinking skills in the category quite effective. <![CDATA[Abstract: This study aims to know the result of student physics learning and the enhancement of student physics learning result through learning media Visual Basic for Application learning media on wave characteristics materials in grade 11th in SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru. This research was conducted in SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru on February-April 2018. The population of this study was the students of grade 11th MIPA academic year 2017/2018, which was consisted of 4 classes. While the sample of this research was 2 homogenous classes which was chosen randomly. The design of this research is Quasi Experiment in the form of Intact Group Comparison. Research instrument of data collection was cognitive test sheet which was consisted of 15 multiple choice questions. Data was analyzed descriptively and inferentialy. The descriptive analysis gave absorption average was 80,91% for experiment class and 73,17% for control class, both of classes in the good category. But the absorption average of the experiment class was higher than the control class with the difference of 7,74%, as of the effectiveness of student learning experiment class higher than control class. Based on inferential analysis through Independent sample T-Test obtained Sig value. (2-tailed) = 0,015 <0,05, which meant significant increasing learning result occured. The conclution of the study was Visual Basic for Application learning media can improve student learning outcomes of grade 11th in SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru on wave characteristics material. <![CDATA[Abstract: This research aims to determine the increase cognitif result in physics learning of the first grade students through conceptual understanding procedures (CUPs) learning model. This research was conducted from November to December 2015 in SMPN 4 Pekanbaru with research subject is class VII10 consist of 36 students as a control group with conventional learning and class VII8 consist of 34 students as a experimental group with conceptual understanding procedures (CUPs) learning model. This research is pre-experimental with Intact Group Comparison Design. Instrument of collecting data in this research is a cognitive achievement test consisting of 15 multiple choice items. The data that collected was analyzed through descriptive and inferensial analyze. The result of descriptive analysis obtained that average absorption and effectiveness of learning in the experimental class is 84% and 73% of control class with high category and effective. The results of inferential analysis through the sign test obtained a value sig.2 tailed < 0,05 (0,00<0,05) which means Ha is accept. It show there is a significant difference between CUPs learning with conventional learning of cognitif result students of the subject matter expansion. Based on data analysis,it can be concluded that implementation of conceptual understanding procedures was able to improve the cognitive result in physics learning of the first grade students of SMPN 4 pekanbaru.Key Words: Cognitive result, Conceptual understanding procedures (CUPs) , Descriptive Analysis and Analysis Inferential]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract: Indonesian education system generally still less to provide opportunities for the development of student creativity, so the percentage of successful student learning outcomes through the sense of sight is a condition of early elections poster in teaching physics to improve students creativity. This research aims to describe the increase in ability to think creatively and student creativity of class VIII SMPN 2 Kuantan Hilir Seberang of physics by using media poster. This research was conducted in SMPN 2 Kuantan Hilir Seberang precisely in maret to June 2015. The subjects were students and VIIIC VIIIA class of 60 students composed of two classes that have been in the homogeneity test. Form the research is pre-experimental with design intact-group comparison. The instrument of data collection in this research is a test the ability of creative thinking and creativity questionnaire. Analysis of the data in this research is a descriptive analysis. The results were obtained using the student ability to think creatively poster media has increased and creativity of the students use the poster media also increased. It can be concluded the use of posters can enhance the creativity student class VIII SMPN 2 Kuantan Hilir Seberang in the subject matter vibrations and waves. <![CDATA[Abstract: This research aimed to describe the understanding of physical concepts by the implementation of SAVI strategies (Somatic, Audiotory, Visual, and Intellectual) using media education cards and knowing differences student’s understanding of physical concepts by SAVI learning strategies using media education cards with conventional learning models. The research method used is Posstest-Only design. The research subjects were students of class VIII SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru, which is class VIIIA was an experimental class and class VIIID was a control class. The experimental class uses the SAVI learning strategy using education cards media and a control class with conventional learning. The data was obtained from concept understanding test which given to student after the learning process was carried out. Data were analyzed descriptively by using indicator of concept understanding criteria to provide an overview of students' understanding of concepts and also inferentially using the independent-sample t-test.The research result obtained were the average of students concept understanding score in the experimental class higher than controll class.Thus it was concluded that the implementation of the SAVI learning strategy using an education card media has given good influence, improved interest in learning, make students more active, So that it can increase student’s understanding concept of physics in SMP N 23 Pekanbaru on the material vibrations, waves, and sounds.Key Word : Concept Understanding, SAVI Learning Strategies, Education Card]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract: This research aims to describe the effect of using poster media on students’ learning motivation and to find out the differences in learning motivation between experimental class students and contol class students. The methode used in this research is quasi-experiment by using Nonquivalent Control Group Design. The subject in this research were seventh grade students of SMPN 4 Tambang which consisted of 60 students and were divided into two classes, they were experimental class and control class. The research instrument used was the ARCS motivation questionnaire. This research was implemented on odd semester 2021/2022. The data in this research are scores of learning motivation before and after applying poster learning media which was analyzed descriptively and inferentially. Descriptively, the data was analyzed by normalizing gain (N-gain) to see the increasing of learning motivation of students. Inferentially, the data was analyzed by using independent sample t-test to see the difference of student’s learning motivation. The result of this research showed that the increasing of students learning motivation at experimental class is in the middle category with N-gain 0,43. While the control class is in the low category with N-gain 0,27. Inferentially showed that there was a difference It can be concluded that there is a differences of a learning motivation between group using a poster learning media and the group without poster medi. So it can be conclude that the poster media is worth to be used in order to increas student’s learning motivation in class VII SMPN 4 Tamabang on temperature and heat material.Key Words: Poster Media, Learning Motivation, Temperature and Heat]]>

<![CDATA[Abstrack: This research aimed to describe and find out the improvement of the result of physics learning student class IX of SMPN 1 Bantan and to explain the significant contradiction the result of physics learning between student that have been learn by the conventional method with the student that have been learn by the cooperatif learning model type Course Review Horay. The type of research is a quasi-experimental, with Intact Group Comparisson design. The subject of this research is students class IX at SMPN 1 Bantan, total of 40 students as divide into two class, experimental class and control class. The data in this research is a score of the result before and after learning physics by implementation of cooperative learning model type Course Review Horay and analysis of the data uses descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. Then, measured the increase the result by normalized gain (gain-N). The result of this research, from descriptive analysis got score result of students at experimental class in high category with N-Gain 0,71, and the control class in the middle category with N-Gain 0,46. From inferential anylisis show that there has significant contradiction the result of physics learning between student that have been learn by the conventional method with the student that have been learn by the cooperatif learning model type Course Review Horay. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning model type Course Review Horay can to increase the result of physics learning student class IX SMPN 1 Bantan and be found the significant contradiction the result of physics learning between student that have been learn by the conventional method with the student that have been learn by the cooperatif learning model type Course Review Horay.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstrak : This class action research was conducted with the effort to improve science process skills grade VIII2 MTs N Andalan Pekanbaru on aspects of verbal communicate through optimization of observation of objects picture with implementation in learning science. This study refers to Taggart and Kemmis model. The instruments used in this research is writing for prasiklus communications test, the cycle I and cycle II as well as oral communication observation sheet for cycles I and II. Based on the analysis of data obtained as a result of prasiklus in the written communication skills of students is still low, that is less then 50%. After the applied action on cycle I of the written communication skills of students increased significantly, that is 74,67%. Follow-up on action taken on the cycle II written skills students also increased to 79,01%. Likewise with oral communication in the first cycle obtained oral communication skills of students is low that is 65.63%, after the given action on the second cycle oral communication skills of students increased to 78.19%. So communication skills of students in the class VIII2 MTs N Andalan Pekanbaru in both written and spoken can be improved by optimizing the media image of the object of science in scientific learning with Light subject matter.Keywords: communication skills, scientific learning, science process skills]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract: This study aims to describe and know differences in student learning outcomes by applying active strategies of verbal soccer. The type of research used is Pre-ekspremental with intact-group comparison design. The population of this study were students of class XI IPA MAN Kampar amounted of 70 students consisting 2 classes, each control class and experiment class. The data in this study is the score of student learning outcomes obtained after active learning of verbal soccer and analyzed descriptively and inferentially. The results showed that there are differences in student learning outcomes that apply the active learning strategy of verbal soccer with conventional class. The average absorptive capacity of the class that implements the active learning strategy of verbal soccer is 80.79%, while the absorption rate of the conventional class is 72.79%. Thus it can be concluded that the implementation of the active strategy of verbal soccer can improve student learning outcomes class XI IPA MAN Kampar.Key Words: learning active strategy verbal soccer , learning result]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract: This study was aimed to describe the logical thinking ability of VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 40 Pekanbaru by a contextual approach on sound material. The study was conducted from March to april 2018. The subject in this study was 79 students in the two classes have been tested normality and homogeneity. Pre experimental research in the form of intact group comparison was use as the research model. Logical thinking ability test consisting of 15 items of multiple choice option was use as the instrument to obtain the data. Descriptive analisis was used to analize the data and giving a description about the level of logical thinking ability. The logical thinking ability test instrument was developed based on each indicator of logical thinking ability. The data was categorized by the category of logical thinking ability with variable controlling indicators, proporsional reasoning, probabilistic reasoning, correlation reasoning and combinatorial reasoning. Based on the data analysis, the average score of students logical thinking ability in the experimental class was 74,36 which was in in logic category and 62,00 control class which was in quite logic category.Keywords: Contextual approach, Logical Thinking Ability, Logical thinking ability indicator]]>
