Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan populisme dalam kampanye politik melalui sosok Anies Baswedan dan dampaknya terhadap peningkatan elektabilitas partai-partai Koalisi Perubahan pada Pilpres 2024. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi strategi partai dalam mengusung Anies Baswedan yang membawa narasi populisme serta bagaimana strategi ini mempengaruhi dukungan publik terhadap partai pengusungnya, yaitu Nasdem, PKS, dan PKB. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder yang dilumpulkan melalui laporan media massa, hasil survei, dan dokumen partai. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa strategi populisme yang diterapkan oleh Anies Baswedan, yang berfokus pada kritik terhadap kebijakan pemerintah dan promosi narasi perubahan, berhasil menarik dukungan luas dari masyarakat. Temuan ini diindikasikan oleh peningkatan signifikan dalam perolehan kursi DPR dan DPRD oleh partai-partai pengusungnya, yaitu Nasdem, PKS, dan PKB. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi partai dalam mengusung narasi populisme melalui sosok Anies Baswedan berhasil meningkatkan elektabilitas partai-partai pengusungnya secara signifikan, meskipun koalisi tersebut tidak memenangkan pilpres. Penelitian ini menyoroti efektivitas populisme sebagai strategi politik dalam konteks elektoral.  This study aims to analyze the use of populism in political campaigns through the figure of Anies Baswedan and its impact on increasing the electability of the Coalition of Change parties in the 2024 presidential election. Using a qualitative approach, this research explores the party's strategy in endorsing Anies Baswedan who carries a populist narrative and how this strategy affects public support for the endorsing parties, namely Nasdem, PKS, and PKB. The research uses secondary data collected through mass media reports, survey results, and party documents. The analysis shows that the populist strategy implemented by Anies Baswedan, which focused on criticizing government policies and promoting a narrative of change, succeeded in attracting widespread support from the public. This finding is indicated by the significant increase in the acquisition of DPR and DPRD seats by his supporting parties, namely Nasdem, PKS, and PKB. The results showed that the party's strategy in carrying the populist narrative through the figure of Anies Baswedan succeeded in significantly increasing the electability of its supporting parties, even though the coalition did not win the presidential election. This research highlights the effectiveness of populism as a political strategy in the electoral context.

Abstract

In our current era of global interconnectivity, the significance of public relations (PR) in crisis management has become increasingly crucial. Government organization often face crises that demand prompt and strategic communication to minimize harm and uphold stakeholders trust. This study aims to examine the strategic roles of public relations in crisis scenarios by analyzing pertinent case studies, theoretical frameworks, and empirical data. The study utilized a systematic review methods, specifically examining publications both from quantitative and qualitative research published on Google Scholar from 2021 to 2024. The study focused on the following keywords: crisis management, public relations, communication strategy, and organizational reputation. Following the screening process, fourteen studies satisfied the criteria specified for this research. The results suggested that successful public relations strategies during times of crisis require prompt communication, openness, and proactive involvement with individuals or groups having a vested interest in the situation. This study enhanced comprehension of the crucial function of public relations in crisis management and provides practical insights for both public relations professionals and researchers. Subsequent investigations should delve into the changing dynamics of public relations in the era of digital technology and analyze its consequences for crisis management tactics.

Abstract

Alur Laut Kepulauan Indonesia ditetapkan dalam tiga pembagian wilayah menghubungkan dua perairan bebas, kapal dan pesawat dari negara lain yang melintas wilayah Indonesia akan melintasi jalur ALKI tersebut. Dalam menjaga keamanan dan kepentingan nasional perlu dilakukan pengawasan dan keamanan yang ekstra. Tanggung jawab keamanan di wilayah ALKI II melibatkan berbagai instansi. Kondisi selama ini pelaksanaan pengamanan wilayah ALKI II belum berada dalam kondisi optimal karena disebabkan oleh beberapa masalah dalam hal ini komunikasi dan koordinasi yang yang sering tidak sinkron antara personel dari instansi berwenang. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut perlu dibangun sebuah sinergi antar instansi. Sinergi antar instansi memiliki pengaruh yang cukup signifikan dalam meningkatkan keoptimalan pelaksanaan komunikasi yang terjalin antara personel yang berbeda instansi yang sedang melaksanakan tugas mengamankan wilayah ALKI II. Penelitian ini berisi tentang peran sinergi antar instansi dan hal yang berpengaruh serta permasalahan dalam pelaksanaan pengamanan ALKI II. Model penelitian studi kasus dengan pendekatan secara kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian berkesimpulan sinergi antar instansi memiliki peran penting dan strategis dalam pelaksanaan Operasi Pengamanan ALKI II. Peran sinergi antar instansi memiliki dampak terhadap keberhasilan dari pelaksanaan suatu kegiatan. Sinergi antar instansi juga dapat mendukung pertahanan negara karena mengoptimalkan koordinasi yang dilakukan sehingga strategi pertahanan negara dapat terlaksana dengan baik. Hal ini juga mendukung terjaga dan terlindunginya kedaulatan nasional. Terdapat beberapa hal yang berpengaruh dan permasalahan dalam proses sinergi antar instansi.

Abstract

This paper analyzes the Ganjar Ramadhan campaign strategy through the use of social capital. Ganjar's social capital ownership was assessed using a qualitative descriptive study method. Data collection was carried out by literature study and field study through purposive interviews and examination of documents. The results of the study show that Ganjar's social capital includes Ganjar's figure; relationships and social networks owned by Ganjar and Ganjar's supporters. Its social capital can be utilized optimally through direct campaigns to the public in the form of door to door campaigns and direct mass campaigns. Utilization of social capital and proper communication played a role in his victory.

Abstract

Indonesia has a doctrine of the universal people's defence system (Sishanrata), which of it can be seen from the support of civil society in national defence. Civil society's support for national defence and national security can be seen from the perspective of civil-military relations in border areas. TNI and civil society communication in strengthening national resilience seek to provide a broader understanding of the importance of harmonious and strong civil-military relations in border areas, especially in this case in the Natuna region, Riau Islands as the outermost area of the state border. Cooperation between various stakeholders in border areas is required to improve synergistic relations between civil-military in dealing with threats in border areas. Thus, civil society is expected to have an active role in guarding border sovereignty. In addition, the TNI also needs to have good social communication skills with civil society as a supporting component of national defence in border areas. It is necessary to collaborate and cooperate between the TNI and civil society on an ongoing basis in Indonesia's border areas to provide benefits to the people at the border and contribute to efforts to strengthen national defence.

Abstract

This research explains Sarmuji's political communication strategy in the 2024 elections. Sarmuji is an incumbent who has held a seat in the DPR RI since 2014 and was re-elected in the 2024 elections. Rationally, the opportunity to add seats in the East Java VI electoral district is quite difficult considering the dominance of the PDI-P. On the other hand, throughout the history of the 2004 to 2019 elections, the Golkar Party was only able to bag 1 seat. The aim of this research is to describe and analyze the political communication strategy used by Sarmuji so that he was able to obtain 2 seats. The theory used in this research is Anwar Arifin's Political Communication Strategy. With a conceptual basis on three aspects, namely caring for figures and strengthening institutions, creating togetherness, and building consensus. This research method uses a qualitative methodology based on case studies. The data used is through in-depth interviews and relevant sources. The results of the study show that Sarmuji applies his political communication strategy by showing the strength of his political party institutions, Sarmuji's strength, and using persuasive methods in conveying political messages. Sarmuji shows that he is a figure who is able to understand the audience with his calm and non-explosive attitude. Sarmuji also showed his courage in the political compromise to include Heru Tjahjono in his electoral district and it was proven that his decision led to the Golkar Party gaining 2 seats in the VI East Java electoral district.

Abstract

Political parties prepare prospective national leaders through a political recruitment process. The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), one of the Islamic parties In Indonesia, has a Regional Leadership Council (DPD) in each district or city. Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of Bandung City is interesting to study since it has a unique regeneration process and the organizations (under brow) have scored excellent cadres. This study aims to analyze the regeneration process of DPD PKS at Bandung City to maintain its existence in the 2014 election using the theory of political recruitment through the regeneration pathway proposed by Almond and Powell. The research was a qualitative method with data collection techniques carried out through secondary data collected by the General Elections Commission (KPU) of Bandung City. The primary data collected from PKS cadre interview process. This study found that the DPD PKS regeneration process of Bandung City affected the quality of promoted cadre, thus influencing the quality and existence of the party. The process of regeneration has produced excellent cadres through education and training stages that make it exist.

Abstract

Global Governance encompasses the world’s political activities and the management of issues and phenomena that occurred on a nation-state, involving contributions from regional to the international environment. In the global security sector, there are numerous efforts carried out by a country to counter such external threats that can cause destabilization. Non-proliferation and nuclear developments for peace are such issues of the global defense-security concern. The attempts to control and ensure the use of nuclear has been carried out by enacting international law, resolutions, and multilateral agreements. The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is one kind. Influencing the world’s security, politics, and economy, JCPOA began to be disrupted since the U.S. withdrawal as one of the parties that initially signed the agreement. This research aims to analyze The Collapse of Global Governance: When the U.S. Leaves the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). This research used a qualitative method with analysis based on secondary data, validated by the triangulation technique in this qualitative study. The analytical procedure uses secondary data from journals, media, and literature related to the Iran nuclear agreement and previous analyses discussing the U.S. exit from the JCPOA agreement. The analysis technique performs by arranging the data sequence, organizing the data into a pattern, category, and basic description. This research has found that Global Governance has fundamental weaknesses in its application. Through an analysis of the U.S. exit from the Iran nuclear agreement, it can be said that the reins of control are in the hands of the U.S. The Trump administration’s policy on behalf of the U.S. to leave JCPOA to thwart the achievement of Global Governance and significantly affects the multi-national economic, political, and security order. The implementation of Global Governance and the issues also raised based on the interests of the superpowers.

Abstract

Abstract Political education is a crucial process and is attached to the KPU, aimed at ensuring voters understand the essence of holding elections and their impact on democracy. One of the voter segments that plays a big role in elections in Indonesia is young voters. Political education for young voters in Bandung City in order to encourage political awareness and personality can be done in various ways, one of which is by using the Bandung City KPU Election Smart House (RPP). This research uses qualitative research methods with interviews as primary data sources, literature studies and documentation as secondary data sources. The interview technique used a purposive technique, informants came from the Bandung City KPU and young voters who had visited the Bandung City KPU RPP. The data analysis technique was carried out using the Miles and Huberman technique, namely the process of reduction, data presentation and verification. The data triangulation process in this research also uses data source triangulation. The results of the research show that political education through the Bandung City KPU RPP for young voters is carried out by physically procuring and also digitizing political materials. In actualization, the RPP also provides information according to the needs of young voters. The political education process through the Bandung City KPU RPP has had a significant impact on the understanding, awareness and political personality of young voters, especially in the 2024 simultaneous election agenda. Abstract

Riset ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan peranan dari ARF on Cybersecurity Initiatives dalam mewujudkan cybersecurity di Kawasan Asia Tenggara. Konsep yang digunakan adalah konsep keamanan siber menurut Jeniffer L. Bayuk, serta konsep komunitas keamanan milik Karl Deutsch.  Riset ini menggunakan metode riset kualitatif melalui pengumpulan data dari literatur dan wawancara, serta triangulasi sebagai cara untuk memverifikasi data. ARF sebagai salah satu forum yang dibentuk oleh ASEAN dalam usahanya untuk menciptakan perdamaian di Kawasan Asia Tenggara, ikut memasukkan isu keamanan siber sebagai salah satu pokok bahasannya. Melalui prinsip Confidence Building Measures (CBM), Preventive Diplomacy (PD), dan Conflict Resolution (CR) yang dijalankan oleh ARF, ASEAN mencoba untuk mencapai prinsip-prinsip dari keamanan siber itu sendiri. Namun, efektivitas dari pelaksanaan ARF ini masih belum dapat dikatakan optimal.
