Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan proses berpikir kritis siswa SMP kelas VII dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita aritmatika sosial yang ditinjau dari kemampuan matematis dan gender. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 5 siswa laki laki dan 5 siswa perempuan dari kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 yang dipilih sesuai dengan kriteria tingkat kemampuan matematis. Teknik dalam pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara tes dan wawancara. Keabsahan data dilakukan dengan metode triangulasi untuk validitas data. Teknik analisis mengggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal ceita aritmatika sosial ditinjau dari kemampuan matematis dan gender memiliki perbedaan. Pada kemampuan berpikir kritis tingkat tinggi, siswa laki-laki dan perempuan mampu memenuhi kelima indikator. Pada kemampuan berpikir kritis tingkat sedang, siswa laki-laki mampu memenuhi indikator 1, 2, 3, 4, meskipun masih perlu perbaikan. Sedangkan siswa perempuan mampu memenuhi indikator 1, 2, 3, 5, meskipun masih perlu perbaikan. Pada kemampuan berpikir kritis tinkat rendah, siswa laki-laki mampu memenuhi indikator 3 dan 5, meskipun masih perlu perbaikan. Sedangkan siswa perempuan mampu memenuhi indikator 2, 3, 4, 5, meskipun masih perlu perbaikan.

Abstract

Several previous researchers have tried to review the results of previous research related to the development of learning tools using a systematic literature review (SLR) model. However, SLR research efforts that examine the development of learning tools carried out by Indonesian in-service and pre-service mathematics teachers are still limited. Therefore, this study seeks to answer two questions, namely (1) what is the mathematics learning sets developed by the Indonesian ISTs and PSTs, and (2) What instructional design model is used by the Indonesian ISTs and PSTs in developing mathematics learning sets. As many as 55 articles were selected using the PRISMA protocol by retrieving articles from the ERIC and Dimensions databases. The findings of the two questions are that the ADDIE model is the most widely used model by Indonesian PSTs and ISTs in developing learning sets. In addition, mathematics learning media and mathematics student worksheets are the most developed tools by authors. This study also examines several instructional designs and types of mathematics learning sets developed by researchers, which can undoubtedly be a refer-ence for subsequent researchers in developing mathematics learning sets.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan siswa dalam mengilustrasi sebagai langkah dalam menyelesaikan soal yang berkaitan dengan geometri bidang datar berdasarkan level berpikir Van Hiele pada siswa SMA. Metode deskriptif kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan melibatkan 36 siswa dari salah satu SMA Negeri di kota Magetan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis secara kualitatif melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Siswa dengan kategori level berpikir Van Hiele tinggi mampu memenuhi level pengenalan, level analisis, dan level pengurutan, namun belum cukup mampu memenuhi level deduksi dan level keakuratan. 2) Siswa dengan kategori level berpikir Van Hiele sedang tergolong mampu memenuhi level pengenalan, dan level pengurutan, akan tetapi belum dapat memenuhi level analisis, level deduksi dan level keakuratan. 3) Sedangkan untuk siswa dengan kategori level berpikir Van Hiele rendah hanya dapat memenuhi level pengurutan. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai gambaran bagi praktisi di dunia pendidikan matematika dalam memetakan kemampuan representatif matematis siswa dalam pembelajaran geometri.Kata Kunci: Ilustrasi, Geometri Bidang, Level Berpikir Van Hiele

Abstract

This paper aims to investigate how a learning trajectory (LT) of multiplication rules support students in developing their understanding and reasoning skills. The learning activities in LT are developed by using Realistic Mathematics Education approach with Islamic values embedded. This study employed design research, which involved a cyclical process of preliminary design, experimental design, and retrospective analysis. The data were collected from 30 tenth-grade students an Islamic senior high school in Jember, Indonesia. The data collected from literature reviews, observations, interviews, videotaping, and tests. The results depicted that the LT of multiplication rules based realistic-Islamic context can support students’ thinking and reasoning about the concepts of multiplication rules. Most notably, the Islamic content and context may teach good deeds and principles that may be applied to students’ daily life.

Abstract

Every child has the right to learn regardless of whose parents they were born. Children of Indonesian Migrant Workers (TKI) who work abroad also have the right to study in general. Many factors hinder the children of foreign migrant workers from being able to attend school, one of which is the lack of Indonesian schools abroad. The Community Service Program (KKN) was held at the Sentul Guidance Studio in Malaysia for almost one month. This service program aims to increase basic literacy and introduce Indonesian culture to children at SB Sentul. The partner in this service is from the management of SB Sentul, namely Mr. Shohenuddin as the administrator of SB Sentul. This service used the Special Guidance observation method. Special Tutoring Activities are activities that aim to focus on teaching children who need special attention, such as for example it is difficult to understand the material presented, they speak a foreign language every day so that Indonesian is difficult to understand, etc. This activity is carried out every Monday-Friday and of course this activity requires a long process and a teacher must have full patience. The results obtained by the children have increased in terms of their basic literacy and the children are getting to know their culture, namely Indonesian culture

Abstract

Ramadan Pesantren is one of the programs conducted by the 6th cohort of KKN DIK International students and was held on March 26-27, 2023, during the month of Ramadan. The objective of this program was to address issues and provide information related to religious matters, enhancing the students' knowledge at Sanggar Bimbingan Kampung Bharu. The activities in Ramadan Pesantren were not limited to religious studies alone; they also included teamwork exercises, concentration training, physical conditioning, and various other activities aimed at fostering a sense of togetherness. The results of the Ramadan Pesantren activities at Sanggar Bimbingan Kampung Bharu showed that the majority of students comprehended the material and enjoyed the activities, finding them engaging, enjoyable, and beneficial for the participating students.

Abstract

Many systematic reviews have examined flipped learning models in various fields. However, there is little research on the use of the flipped learning model in mathematics education, which could help researchers and practitioners use and develop a model to implement mathematics learning processes. To fill this gap, this study aimed to analyze and synthesize current knowledge and practices in the implementation of flipped learning in mathematics education. Systematic literature review was adopted as the research method following an article selection and screening process using the preferred reporting items for systematic review and meta-analysis (PRISMA) protocol. Articles published from 2012 to 2021 in some reputable databases (Web of Science, Scopus, and ERIC) were reviewed, and 17 of 137 articles were included for detailed analysis and synthesis. The findings of this study showed that research in the implementation of the flipped learning model in mathematics education focused on documenting the affectivity of the implementation of the flipped learning model, developing learning processes, and sharing preliminary findings and student feedback. Future research is highly recommended to examine different aspects of flipped learning implementation, promote longitudinal data based on multi-year research for implementing flipped learning, and review various learning media to strengthen students’ understanding of mathematics.

Abstract

Telah banyak upaya penelitian yang mengkaji kesalahan siswa pada topik Trigonometri, namun masih sedikit hasil penelitian yang menganalisis kesalahan siswa SMK pada topik tersebut menggunakan teori Newman Error Analysis, khususnya ditinjau dari perspektif gender. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengungkap kesalahan dan faktor apa saja yang dialami siswa dalam menjawab soal trigonometri. Guru juga dapat meminimalisir kesalahan yang sama dengan membantu mengurangi faktor penghambat belajar siswa. Analisis kesalahan mengacu pada teori Newman Error Analysis (NEA) yang dideskripsikan melalui metode kualitatif. 32 siswa SMK terlibat dalam penelitian ini. Perbedaan gender ditinjau untuk mengetahui perbedaan karakteristik laki – laki dan perempuan dalam menjawab soal trigonometri. Penelitian menemukan bahwa siswa laki – laki dan perempuan mengalami hambatan yang sama dalam menjawab soal. Pada siswa laki – laki rata – rata kesalahan sebesar 3 % pada reading errors, 20% pada comprehension errors, 24% pada transformation errors, 14% pada process skill errors, dan 17% pada encoding errors. Sedangkan pada siswa perempuan hanya proses kesalahan reading errors yang terjadi 100% pada semua gender perempuan, sedangkan pada masalah yang lain sebesar 50%. Penelitian ini memberikan sumbangsih pada penguatan teori yang dapat memberikan pandangan baru, sehingga memberikan detail yang mendalam sebagai media pengambilan keputusan pembelajaran selanjutnya. Error analysis of vocational high school students on trigonometry topics based on Newman Error Analysis (NEA)There have been many research efforts that examine student errors on the topic of Trigonometry, however, there are still few research results in that attempt to analyze the mistakes of vocational students on the topic using the Newman Error Analysis theory which is specially reviewed from a gender perspective. This study analyzed students' errors and factors in answering trigonometry questions. Teachers could minimize the same mistakes by helping to reduce the inhibiting factors for student learning. An analysis of student errors has been carried out referring to the Newman Error Analysis (NEA) involved as the sample and research population. Gender differences were reviewed to determine if there were differences in the characteristics of men and women to answer trigonometry questions. It was found that male and female students equally experienced obstacles in answering all the questions given. For male students, the average error is 3% for reading errors, 20% for comprehension errors, 24% for Transformation errors, 14% for process skill errors, and 17% for encoding errors. Meanwhile, for female students, only reading errors occurred in 100% of all female genders, while in other problems it was 50%. This research contributes to the strengthening of theories that can provide new insight, thus providing in-depth details as a medium for making further learning decisions.

Abstract

Mitra dalam pengabdian ini adalah masyarakat, namun terfokus pada edukasi berupa bimbingan belajar untuk siswa Sekolah Dasar di daerah Karang Anyar RT 05, Karang Anyar, Plupuh, Sragen. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini diawali dengan mengadakan sosialisasi kepada orang tua siswa melalui kelompok kecil. untuk menyampaikan informasi mengenai adanya kegiatan bimbingan belajar. Selalin itu juga kami memberi gambaran mengenai konsep orangtua dalam mendampingi anak ketika pembelajaran daring. Dalam pelaksanaannya bimbingan belajar dilakukan setiap hari mulai jam 09.00-11.00 WIB. Diikuti oleh dua belas siswa, yang terdiri dari tujuh siswa laki-laki dan lima siswa perempuan. Bertepat di Masjid Baiturrahim. Proses belajar sebelum adanya “bimbingan belajar” terkesan monoton dan siswa kurang memahami materi karena tidak adanya tempat bertanya dan praktik. Namun dengan adanya bimbingan belajar yang memanfaatkan media audio visual ini siswa menjadi lebih mudah memahami materi dan kembali aktif bertanya tidak monoton dengan cara belajar sebelum mengikuti bimbingan belajar ini. Hal ini menunjukkan pentingnya pemberian pengalaman pada siswa pada saat proses pembelajaran. Pentingnya pengabdian ini dilaksanakan sebagai upaya membantu orang tua dalam mendampingi proses pembelajaran siswa dan sebagai fasilitator siswa dalam membantu siswa memahami materi.
