Abstract

Abstrak. Dalam mata pelajaran IPA, kita sering menjumpai materi gaya dalam kehidupan kita sehari-hari, namun tidak menutup kemungkinan bahwa setiap orang di dunia ini kurang memahami gaya, misalnya siswa sekolah dasar. Beberapa dari mereka mungkin mengalami kesulitan mempelajari materi gaya. Penelitian ini berfokus pada faktor-faktor apa saja yang menjadi penyebab kesulitan belajar siswa dan mengetahui seberapa efektif pembelajaran cooperative jigsaw dapat mengatasi tidak tercapainya hasil belajar siswa pada materi kelas 4. Pada kenyataannya, pemahaman siswa tentang materi gaya masih belum sesuai target, sehingga mempengaruhi hasil belajar. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai rata-rata siswa yang berada di bawah Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM). Siswa kelas 4 SDN Sentul 4 yang berjumlah 16 siswa menjadi partisipan pembelajaran tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes berupa pre-test dan post-test. Selanjutnya, hasil dari data yaitu rata-rata nilai belajar siswa meningkat dari 67,50 menjadi 86,88. Selain itu, data diuji juga dengan paired sample t-test dengan hasil 0,000 yang lebih kecil dari 0,05 sehingga ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara penggunaan model pembelajaran konvensional ceramah dengan model kooperatif jigsaw.Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Kooperatif Jigsaw, Hasil Belajar, Gaya, Sekolah Dasar

Abstract

Hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA di sekolah dasar dinilai perlu mendapatkan perhatian yang lebih baik, terlebih dalam memenuhi tuntutan abad 21. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan rekomendasi media pembelajaran kepada pendidik serta mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media Virtual Reality (VR) dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA di sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperiment. Sampel diambil dari 2 sekolah yakni SD Negeri Sugihwaras 1 di Kabupaten Jombang dan UPT SD Negeri Tulungrejo 02 di Kabupaten Blitar, sedangkan populasi merupakan sekolah dasar di Jawa Timur. Adapun pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan pre-test dan post-test kepada kedua kelompok. Hasil data akan dianalisis menggunakan SPSS kemudian diinterpretasikan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh nilai sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,096  >  0,05. Ini berarti penggunaan media VR dalam pembelajaran IPA di SD terbukti efektif diterapkan guna meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Angka ini juga dipengaruhi oleh tingginya motivasi belajar kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan VR dari pada kelas kontrol yang diperlakukan pembelajaran secara konvensional.Kata Kunci:Hasil belajarMedia pembelajaranVirtual RealityPembelajaran IPA

Abstract

The application of the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach in this research aims to improve students' learning outcomes. This research is a type of Classroom Action Research (CAR), which is carried out in class V IPAS learning at SDN Pandanwangi 3 within a span of 2 learning cycles. Data collection in this research was through observation, written tests, documentation, and students' reflections. Meanwhile, to obtain more comprehensive and valid data, the data in this research were analyzed using mixed methods, which combine quantitative and qualitative approaches. Starting at the pre-cluster stage, researchers found that only 37.93% of students had reached mastery, while 62.07% of students were not yet complete. Afterwards, by applying the CRT approach, in cycle I the results showed that 51.72% of students had reached mastery, 48.28% of students were not yet complete. Whereas in cycle II, there was a significant increase in results, namely there were 82.76% of students who had completed, and only 17.24% of students who had not completed. Through these results, it can be seen that there is an increase in the learning outcomes of students in the realm of knowledge, it can be seen that in cycle I 51.72% of students are complete, this result has increased in cycle II, namely 82.76% of students have completed. The findings of this research reveal that the application of the CRT approach can significantly improve students' learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of the CRT approach with the Problem-Based Learning model in Civics subjects with the help of flashcards that raise the theme of how diversity can affect the learning outcomes of grade 2 students at SDN Pandanwangi 3. This research method uses classroom action research (PTK) which consists of two cycles. This research uses qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and evaluation of learning outcomes. The results showed a significant increase in students' average scores, from 82.43 in the pre-cycle to 89.29 in cycle I and 97.86 in cycle II. The number of student completions also increased, with 78.57% completed in the pre-cycle, 100% in cycle I, and 100% in cycle II. This shows that the application of the CRT approach with the PBL model assisted by flashcards is very suitable for improving student learning outcomes. In conclusion, the CRT approach in PBL assisted by diversity flash cards makes a significant contribution to enriching the understanding of inclusive learning that is student-centered and relevant to cultural diversity. This research is expected to contribute to improving the quality of basic education by prioritizing cultural diversity in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the cognitive learning outcomes and collaboration skills of students through the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model with a Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach, assisted by comic media integrated in the Learner Worksheet (LKPD). The background of this study is the low achievement of learning outcomes and collaboration skills of fourth-grade students of SDN Pandanwangi 3, Malang City, in IPAS subjects, especially in the subtopic of Social Interaction. This classroom action research (PTK) was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings. The research subjects were 28 fourth-grade students. Data collection techniques were conducted through learning outcome tests and observation of collaboration skills, while data analysis used a quantitative descriptive approach and a paired t-test statistical test. The results showed that in the pre-cycle, only 17.86% of students reached mastery, increased to 67.86% in cycle I, and reached 85.71% in cycle II. Statistical tests showed a gradual, significant increase. Thus, the implementation of the CRT-based PBL model assisted by comics proved effective in improving learning outcomes and collaboration skills and encouraging meaningful, contextualized learning. It was also rooted in the local culture of students.

Abstract

Quality education is education that is able to meet the various needs and characteristics of students. Education must be designed to produce practical skills that can be used directly in solving real-life problems. IPAS or Natural and Social Sciences is one of the integrated subjects created to hone students' critical and rational thinking skills (Hendra et al., 2024). The independent curriculum presents significant changes by integrating science and social studies subjects into one unit, namely IPAS. This is done to create a more comprehensive and contextual student learning experience. In cycle I, although there has been an increase compared to pre-cycle conditions, student learning outcomes have still not fully achieved the expected completion target.

Abstract

Research-based learning (RBL) is a learning model that involves research activities in the learning process. The higher education system cannot separate from learning and research activities. This study aims to present a case study that explores the learning experiences of 5 students of the doctoral education program and how their research skills differ before and after implementing RBL in a local-based science learning development course. Collecting data methods are interviews, learning notes, product assessments, and questionnaires. Data analysis consisted of examining, categorizing, and recombining the quantitative and qualitative evidence to discuss the research's initial propositions. Research results show that the ability of doctoral program students applied knowledge in practical contexts, research skills, critical and analytical thinking, scientific communication skills could be improved through research-based learning.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the important skills that mathematics and science education students must possess to enhance the quality of teaching in the modern education era. This study uses a qualitative approach with a systematic literature review method. The focus of the study is on annual publication trends, research methods, and skills emphasized in mathematics and science education, from the Scopus database during the 2015-2024 period. A total of 50 papers were analyzed to present ideas, findings, and knowledge literature with an academic focus. This data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis, namely research focused on exploring how essential skills are implemented or integrated in mathematics and science education. The results of the research show that the peak of the research trend on important future skills for mathematics and science students will be in 2023 and will still be ongoing in 2024. The methods most frequently used in the last 15-year research period are quantitative, followed by non-empirical, qualitative, mixed, and research and development. Future skills such as critical thinking, creative thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and communication are very important to teach prospective teachers in improving the quality of teaching. This study also revealed that STEM learning is most widely used to teach future skills. In the future, this research can become a reference or point of reference in preparing the skills that must be taught to prospective teachers today for quality education in the future with the role of professional teachers.

Abstract

Ngenep Village is one of the villages in Karangploso District, Malang Regency which has abundant potential in the fields of plantations and agriculture. Most of the land in this village area is classified as fertile. Seeing this potential, we as implementers of the Malang State University Community Service Activities try to help develop the potential of Ngenep Village through community empowerment activities in the form of training on how to plant Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA). The service activity aims to improve the abilities and skills of the villagers of Ngenep in managing the TOGA garden. The method used in this activity is the method of lecture, demonstration, discussion and question and answer. The implementation of this activity begins with the lecture method, namely the delivery of TOGA material, then participants and presenters conduct discussions and ask questions about the material. After that, it was continued with demonstration activities on how to plant TOGA which was carried out on plantation land. After the implementation of this activity, it is hoped that the residents of Ngenep Village can gain a lot of knowledge about TOGA, so that they can develop a TOGA garden using appropriate management methods.

Abstract

The purpose of this technology integration program in learners is to learn about how to make interesting learning videos and apply e-learning. It is hoped that in this community service activity, teachers can master interactive and interesting learning media in the form of learning videos and apply them to e-learning. The implementation of this community service activity is in the form of presentations regarding the introduction of learning media, OBS software, e-learning, and how to make learning videos. The method used is the preparation of materials and software, implementation methods related to how to operate OBS software, and e-learning and practical methods are carried out in the form of making interactive learning video media according to the material taught by the teacher. The evaluation was carried out in this training by observing the differences in the skills of teachers in making learning videos after the implementation of the training. Based on the results that have been achieved. The evaluation of the results training was assessed from the participation and practical assignments of making interactive videos according to the material taught by the teacher. Then the results of making interactive learning videos are implemented in the schools of each SD/MI teacher.
