Abstract

The purpose of this research is to create a critical thinking-based instructional media called DISCA (Digital Smart Card) for energy conversion materials that is valid according to subject matter experts, media experts, teachers, practical according to students, and effective in stimulating students' critical thinking skills. This R&D process employs the ADDIE model. The critical thinking-based DISCA refers to Facione with indicators adapted to Piaget's cognitive development for fourth-grade elementary school, which include analysis, evaluation, and explanation. The results showed that the product received average percentage of 93.75% indicating a "very valid" category. In practicality with average percentage of 98.8% categorized as "very practical." The effectiveness in stimulating critical thinking skills using the N-Gain Score showed that it was with a score of 80,19% indicating an “effective”. These research, it can be concluded that the DISCA for energy conversion materials for fourth-grade elementary school students is considered very valid, considered very practical, effective in stimulating critical thinking. Abstract

This research aims to develop an interactive digital guide for magnetism experiments to empower problem solving skills among fouth-grade school students. The guide is intended to be valid according to experts, practical for users, and effective in enchancing students problem solvinf abilities. The research follows the five stage of the ADDIE Model, which are analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data analysis techniques include both qualitative and quantitative methods. The result of this media development project show that the material validation achieved a score of 98%, media validation reached 98% and user validation received 99%, all categorized as highly valid. In terms of practically during testing phase, a percentage of 98,67% was obtained, indicating a high level of practicality. Therefore, the research and development of this interactive digital guide for magnetism ecperiments, designed to enchance problem solving skills among fourth-grade elementary school students, is highly valid according to experts in the field, practical according to users, and effective according to students. Abstract

Materi ekosistem adalah salah satu materi pembelajaran IPAS SD yang membantu siswa memahami lingkungan sekitar ataupun yang sulit dijangkau oleh indranya. Meskipun demikian, karakter rasa ingin tahu dan keterampilan berpikir kritis pada materi ini dinilai masih kurang. Hal tersebut kemungkinan dikarenakan oleh kurangnya variasi media yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Selanjutnya, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menyelidiki ada atau tidaknya pengaruh penggunaan media scrapbook terhadap karakter rasa ingin tahu dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V MIN 1 Tulungagung. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menerapkan penelitian kuantitatif dan desain penelitian berupa kuasi eksperimen. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah segenap siswa kelas V MIN 1 Tulungagung, adapun sampelnya adalah kelas VB sebagai kelas kontrol dan VC sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan penentuannya menggunakan random sampling. Bentuk instrumen yang dipakai meliputi angket dan tes. Melalui penelitian ini, diperoleh hasil: (1) pengaruh media scrapbook terhadap karakter rasa ingin tahu (sig. 0.006 < 0.05), (2) pengaruh media scrapbook terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis (sig. 0.016 < 0.05), (3) pengaruh media scrapbook terhadap keduanya secara sekaligus (sig. 0.004 < 0.05). Sehingga diambil simpulan bahwa scrapbook memiliki pengaruh terhadap karakter rasa ingin tahu, keterampilan berpikir kritis, dan keduanya secara sekaligus.

Abstract

The scanning industry is one of the industries that produces organic waste in both solid and liquid forms. However, the scanning industry waste that has the greatest impact on the environment is liquid waste. In one of the areas with quite high pollution conditions in the scanning industry, namely Watulimo Village, Trenggalek. The objectives of this community service activity are (1) To install a portable digester in an effort to process scanning waste into biogas, (2) To provide technical guidance on the stages of processing scanning wastewater so that in the future they can independently process wastewater from the scanning industry. The methods used include presentations, discussions, demonstrations, and practicums. The results of this activity are (1) The installation of a portable digester in processing scanning waste into biogas in Watulimo Village has proven effective in processing organic waste into a renewable energy source, (2) Through technical guidance on the stages of processing scanning wastewater, the people of Watulimo Village are equipped with the ability to manage waste independently

Abstract

One of the factors that supports the quality of vocational high school graduates needed by industry is how broad the knowledge of the latest technology is mastered by a teacher. On the other hand, there is still a gap between the developing technology and the level of mastery possessed by teachers. The competency standards possessed by teachers should ideally continue to increase along with technological developments. One indicator is the ownership of a teacher competency certificate in the automotive expertise field at the vocational school level. Therefore, efforts need to be made to develop a teacher's abilities. The method used is through training and workshops. The results of this community service activity were that most participants showed a significant increase in their understanding and skills in hybrid control systems, including theoretical and applied aspects. Teachers who took part in the training are now better prepared to implement hybrid technology in the learning process, supporting the transfer of knowledge to students better and more effectively.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the important skills that mathematics and science education students must possess to enhance the quality of teaching in the modern education era. This study uses a qualitative approach with a systematic literature review method. The focus of the study is on annual publication trends, research methods, and skills emphasized in mathematics and science education, from the Scopus database during the 2015-2024 period. A total of 50 papers were analyzed to present ideas, findings, and knowledge literature with an academic focus. This data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis, namely research focused on exploring how essential skills are implemented or integrated in mathematics and science education. The results of the research show that the peak of the research trend on important future skills for mathematics and science students will be in 2023 and will still be ongoing in 2024. The methods most frequently used in the last 15-year research period are quantitative, followed by non-empirical, qualitative, mixed, and research and development. Future skills such as critical thinking, creative thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and communication are very important to teach prospective teachers in improving the quality of teaching. This study also revealed that STEM learning is most widely used to teach future skills. In the future, this research can become a reference or point of reference in preparing the skills that must be taught to prospective teachers today for quality education in the future with the role of professional teachers.

Abstract

Pendidikan sains di tingkat Sekolah Dasar (SD) memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam membentuk dasar pemahaman ilmiah siswa. Di gugus 2 Kecamatan Kedungkandang guru memiliki keterampilan dalam melakukan praktikum yang belum maksimal.  Praktikum Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) merupakan metode yang efektif untuk membantu siswa memahami konsep-konsep ilmiah dengan lebih baik. Keterampilan guru dalam melaksanakan praktikum IPA sangat menentukan keberhasilan pembelajaran sains di SD. Oleh karena itu, pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam melakukan praktikum IPA di Gugus 2 Kecamatan Kedungkandang, Kota Malang. Kegiatan ini meliputi beberapa tahap, yaitu identifikasi masalah, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Selama pelaksanaan penelitian, guru-guru SD di Gugus 2 Kecamatan Kedungkandang menjalani serangkaian pelatihan dan pembinaan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mereka dalam merancang dan melaksanakan praktikum IPA yang efektif. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh guru menyatakan dalam keterampilan melakukan praktikum IPA mengalami peningkatan. Dengan presentase 64% sangat setuju dan 33% setuju. Guru-guru menjadi lebih terampil dalam merancang percobaan, mengelola kelas, dan membimbing siswa dalam kegiatan praktikum.

Abstract

Misconceptions are a phenomenon that is often experienced in the learning process, that is important to identify so it doesn't occur continuously. However, in the research that has been conducted regarding misconceptions about the solar system, there has been no research conducted in elementary schools. In addition, the research that has been conducted is only based on interviews without diagnostic tests. This study aimed to identify the level of misconceptions about the solar system material of grade VI students at an elementary school in Trenggalek regency. This research was qualitative research using a three-tier Certainly Response Index. The first tier was conceptual understanding, the second tier was the reason for choosing an answer, the third tier was the student's level of confidence in the previous answer. The results of this study indicated that in general 56.875% of students experience misconceptions. If reviewed from each concept, 65.63% of students experienced misconceptions in solar system concepts, 51.65% of students experienced misconceptions in earth's rotation and revolution concepts, while 50% students experienced misconceptions in eclipse concepts. Meanwhile, if reviewed from each question, misconceptions occur in question number 10 about determining the characteristics of the sun with a percentage of 81.25% with a high misconception category. The results of this identification are expected to be used as a reference for designing learning materials on the solar system.

Abstract

The purpose of this study The Influence of the Application of Game Based Learning (GBL) Models Assisted by the Math Games Platform on the Mathematics Learning Outcomes of Fifth Grade Elementary School Student this study uses an experimental quantitative approach to determine whether or not there is a result of a treatment. This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the Game Based Learning (GBL) model with the help of the Math Games platform on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students. This study used the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design method, with a subject of 29 students in an elementary school in Kediri Regency which was taken through purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using observation and objective tests. The instrument used was a multiple choice test with 10 questions that had been tested to determine the validity and reliability of the instrument. The results were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics with the help of SPSS for Windows version 21. Based on the results, the mean pretest score was 60.35 and the posttest average score was 85.52 with an N-gain percentage of 66%. Analysis of research data was carried out through 2 stages, namely prerequisite tests and hypothesis testing. Based on the results of the prerequisite test, it was found that the research data were normal and homogeneous (having the same variance). The results of the hypothesis analysis using the paired sample t-test show that the data significance value is 0.000, where 0.000 0.05, which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between learning outcomes before and after the implementation of the game based learning model with an average increase in learning outcomes in the medium category.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat jenis baru dari Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik bernama KITE materi sistem organ tubuh manusia untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar peserta didik kelas V SD. Pengembangan produk LKPD KITE valid menurut para ahli, praktis bagi pengguna, dan secara efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Metodologi yang digunakan untuk melakukan penelitian ini adalah Research and Development. Tahapan penelitian mengikuti Model ADDIE. Analisis data menggunakan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Validasi hasil dilakukan oleh ahli materi dan media. Berdasarkan evaluasi yang dilakkan ahli materi di dapatkan hasil 94% dan penilaian dari ahli media 97% yang berarti mendapat hasil nilai dengan kategori sangat valid. Kepraktisan produk melalui uji skala kecil memperoleh penilaian sebesar 96%, uji skala besar 98%, dan uji kepraktisan guru mendapatkan nilai 100% yang berarti sangat praktis. Oleh karena itu, LKPD KITE ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas V SD dinilai sangat valid menurut ahli, sangat praktis menurut pengguna, dan efektif bagi peserta didik.
