Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the form of expressive speech acts used by Indonesian teachers and describe what are the Indonesian teacher's speech strategies in the teaching and learning process in class X of SMK Negeri 6 Padang.  This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The data in this study are sentences in the form and strategy of expressive speech acts of teachers Indonesian class X of SMK Negeri 6 Padang in the teaching and learning process with the data source of one of the teachers Indonesian during the teaching and learning process. This research instrument is the author himself and is assisted by supporting instruments in the form of recording devices (cellphones) and stationery. Data collection techniques use passive pasticipation observation. The data validation technique uses the traingulation technique. The results of this study are 1) the form of teacher's expressive speech act in learning Indonesian class X SMK Negeri 6 Padang consists of expressive speech act of criticizing, expressive speech act of praise, expressive speech act of blame, and expressive speech act of apologizing, 2) Teacher speech strategy in learning Indonesian class X SMK Negeri 6 Padang consists of a strategy of speaking frankly without further ado,  The strategy of speaking frankly with positive politeness, the strategy of speaking frankly with negative politeness, and the strategy of speaking samr-vaguely.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dua hal berikut. Pertama, mendeskripsikan struktur teks laporan hasil observasi siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 12 Kerinci. Kedua, mendeskripsikan penggunaan diksi ditinjau dari ketepatan, kecermatan, dan keserasian dalam teks laporan hasil observasi siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 12 Kerinci. Jenis penelitian in adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Latar penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 12 Kerinci, tepatnya dikelas X IPA. Data penelitian ini berupa teks laporan hasil observasi, yang diperoleh dari sumber data penelitian yaitu dokumentasi hasil tugas siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 12 Kerinci yang berjumlah 21 teks laporan hasil observasi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian in adalah studi dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian in adalah peneliti sendiri. Penganalisisan data disesuaikan dengan alur penganalisisan data kualitatif yaitu dengan cara redukasi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data. Kedua, jika dilihat dari penggunaan diksi berdasarkan ketepatan, kecermatan, dan keserasian, siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 12 Kerinci sudah baik. Dari sebanyak 3139 kata terdapat 12 kata yang tidak tepat, 49 kata yang tidak cermat, dan 22 kata yang tidak serasi.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai sosial yang ada pada novel Layangan Putus karya Mommy Asf. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskrptif. Data pada penelitian ini berupa kalimat yang mengandung nilai sosial yang ada pada novel Layangan Putus. Sumber data pada penelitian ini yaitu pada novel Layangan Putus karya Mommy Asf terbitan RDM Publishers cetakan pertama November 2020. Teknik analisis data dengan membaca dan memahami. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai sosial yang terdapat dalam novel Layangan Putus karya Mommy Asf adalah nilai tolong-menolong, kasih sayang, tanggung jawab, memaafkan sesama kepedulian.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan bentuk tindak tutur asertif dan mendeskripsikan fungsi tindak tutur asertif yang terdapat dalam novel Ancika: Dia yang Bersamaku Tahun 1995 karya Pidi Baiq. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode secara deskrptif berupa tindak tutur asertif pada kalimat percakapan antar tokoh di dalam novel Ancika: Dia yang Bersamaku Tahun 1995 karya Pidi Baiq. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah novel berjudul Ancika: Dia yang Bersamaku Tahun 1995 karya Pidi Baiq. Teknik pengumpulan data penenlitian ini melalui studi telaah dokumen dengan teknik observasi dan teknik catat. Teknik pengabsahan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik uraian rinci. Teknik penganalisisan data dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu identifikasi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah bentuk dan fungsi tindak tutur asertif di dalam novel Ancika: Dia yang Bersamaku Tahun 1995 karya Pidi Baiq. Pertama, bentuk tindak tutur asertif di dalam novel Ancika: Dia yang Bersamaku Tahun 1995 karya Pidi Baiq, yakni tindak tutur asertif menyatakan, menyarankan, membanggakan, mengeluh, menuntut, melaporkan. Kedua, fungsi tindak tutur asertif yang terdapat dalam novel Ancika: Dia yang Bersamaku Tahun 1995 karya Pidi Baiq, yaitu fungsi kompetitif, konvival, kolaboratif, konfliktif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan orientasi budaya dalam novel Laut Bercerita terhadap lingkungan manusia dan alam sekitar terhadap menguasai alam, mementingkan keharmonisan, dan mengikuti alur. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini yaitu membaca dan memahami novel Laut Bercerita karya Leila S. Chudori secara keseluruhan untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang jelas tentang novel ini, mengklasifikasikan data, dan menyimpulkan data yang berhubungan dengan orientasi budaya lingkungan manusia dan alam sekitar dalam novel Laut Bercerita karya Leila S. Chudori. Teknik pengabsahan data yaitu menggunakan teknik triangulasi. Teknik penganalisisan data yaitu, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi atau menyimpulkan data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan beberapa hal sebagai berikut. Pertama, orientasi budaya dalam novel Laut Bercerita terhadap lingkungan manusia dan alam sekitar terhadap menguasai alam. Kedua, orientasi budaya dalam novel Laut Bercerita terhadap mementingkan keharmonisan. Ketiga, orientasi budaya dalam novel Laut Bercerita terhadap lingkungan manusia dan alam sekitar terhadap mengikuti alur.Hasil penelitian dapat diimplikasikan kepada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia, yakni Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) mengidentifikasi teks novel dan materi ajar mengidentifikasi teks novel.

Abstract

The skills of using Information and Communication Technology (ICT) by teachers have a significant influence on the teacher's ability to use appropriate learning media, which is a key factor in the success of the teaching process. Therefore, SMP Negeri 1 Mungka Regency has designed learning that is suitable for the situation after the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this service project is to provide knowledge and training to teachers of SMP N 1, Mungka District, Fifty Cities Regency in using Prezi-based technology as a learning medium. The training begins with an explanation of the relationship between media and learning, as well as the role of the media in the learning process in the post-COVID-19 pandemic era. Then, the training materials cover how to create a Prezi account, how to register for Prezi, how to install, and how to use it in learning. The training method involved questions and answers, hands-on practice, and demonstrations, and evaluation was carried out through distribution of questionnaires before and after the training. The results of the questionnaire analysis showed that in general the participants were satisfied with the schedule and time of the training, as well as with the topics presented. Although some participants experienced difficulties due to inadequate internet connection and devices, there were indications that participants had succeeded in increasing their knowledge and motivation in terms of using Prezi technology as a learning medium. In addition, the simple works of the participants were also considered quite good.

Abstract

Based on the results of observations made at Stikes Syedza Saintika Padang, it is known that the implementation of e-learning is not smooth both in terms of personal, infrastructure, and implementation of the learning process used. The research objective was to determine the extent to which e-learning was applied in terms of context, input, process and product. The type of research used is descriptive evaluative with a quantitative-qualitative approach. The evaluation model used is the CIPP (Context, Input, Process and Product) evaluation model. The research was conducted at Stikes Syedza Saintika Padang with 10 lecturer respondents and 68 students using purposive sampling. The results showed that the score obtained by the lecturer was in the medium category and reached a percentage of 71.2%, with details: (1) 65.5% context aspects, (2) 81.3% input aspects, (3) 66.3% process aspects, (4) 72.0% product aspects. While the scores obtained by students were included in the medium category and reached a percentage of 75.93%, with details: (1) 69.60% context aspects, (2) 79, 70% input aspects, (3) 79, 50% process aspects, (4) 74.90% of product aspects. The suggestions given by researchers, in using e-learning should be optimized from all personnel involved in the application of e-learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to describe the following things. First, to describe the writing skills of observation report texts of grade X SMA Negeri 1 X Koto, Tanah Datar Regency. Second, to describe the writing skills of expository texts of grade X SMA Negeri 1 X Koto, Tanah Datar Regency. Third, to analyze the comparison between the writing skills of observation report texts and expository texts of grade X SMA Negeri 1 X Koto, Tanah Datar Regency. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive analysis. Based on the research findings, the following three things were concluded. First, the writing skills of observation report texts of grade X SMA Negeri 1 X Koto, Tanah Datar Regency, were in a good qualification (76.43). Second, the writing skills of expository texts of grade X SMA Negeri 1 X Koto, Tanah Datar Regency, were in more than sufficient qualification (74.07). Third, there was a significant difference between the writing skills of observation report texts and expository texts of grade X SMA Negeri 1 X Koto, Tanah Datar Regency. Based on the hypothesis test conducted, it can be concluded that H1 is accepted because the tvalue is greater than the ttable. Therefore, there is a significant difference between the two texts.

Abstract

This research has two objectives. First, to describe the intrinsic elements in the short story Cinta Tak Ada Mati by Eka Kurniawan. Second, to describe the implications of Eka Kurniawan's short story Cinta Tak Mati in learning short story texts. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The data of this study are event units in the form of words, phrases, clauses, or sentences that identify the intrinsic elements of the short story in the form of a narrator's narrative about the characters, the actions of the characters, and the speeches of the characters in the setting of the short story Cinta Tak Ada Mati by Eka Kurniawan. The source of the research data is the short story Cinta Tak Ada Mati by Eka Kurniawan which was published by Gramedia in 2018. The results of the research on the short story Cinta Tak Ada Mati by Eka Kurniawan are that there are three characters, namely Mardio, Melatie, and a doctor. The plot in the short story Cinta Tak Ada Mati by Eka Kurniawan is a mixed plot. There are seven elements that develop plot, namely introduction, conflict, complication, climax, crisis, separation, and resolution. The setting in Cinta Tak Ada Mati by Eka Kurniawan is the setting of place, time, and social setting. The point of view used in Eka Kurniawan's Cinta Tak Ada Mati is the third person's point of view. The message conveyed in Eka Kurniawan's Cinta Tak Ada Mati is to gain knowledge that being faithful is good, but if we can't have what we want, it's better for us to leave it so as not to cause wounds and leave grudges behind. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the short story Cinta Tak Ada Mati by Eka Kurniawan can be used as Indonesian language learning material, especially in short story texts.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang berjudul “Pemanfaatan Template Surat Otomatis dalam Kegiatan Surat Menyurat pada Dinas Pendidikan Pemuda dan Olahraga Kabupaten Solok” bertujuan mengembangkan wawasan literasi digital yang mencakup kemampuan untuk menggunakan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, mengenali dan menilai kebenaran informasi, serta memahami hak dan tanggung jawab dalam penggunaan teknologi. Adapun tahapan-tahapan yang direncanakan pada kegiatan PKM ini antara lain: (1) persiapan materi pelatihan dengan menggunakan modul berisi penjelasan mengenai surat dinas; (2) penggandaan dan distribusi modul kepada khalayak sasaran; (3) penyajian materi sesuai dengan modul dan cara penyajian dilakukan dengan metode ceramah dibantu dengan media power point, diskusi kelompok kecil dan paripurna; (4) tutorial pelatihan dengan bimbingan individual berupa penerapan pelaksanaan penulisan surat dengan menggunakan template otomatis, (5) pelatihan penyusunan arsip di dalam aplikasi; dan (6) evaluasi dan refleksi kegiatan. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan menulis surat pegawai Disdikpora Kabupaten Solok. Oleh sebab itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan pemanfaatan template surat otomatis pada kegaiatan surat menyurat pada Disdikpora kabupaten Solok memiliki dampak positif, mudah, dan praktis.
