Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the improvement of cultural literacy and critical thinking skills of fifth-grade elementary school students in the PGRI Pangkatan cluster through the implementation of the FIVES learning model based on local culture. The study employed a quasi-experimental approach with a Nonequivalent Pretest–Posttest Control Group Design. The research subjects were fifth-grade students of SDN 08 Pangkatan as the experimental class and SDN 02 Pangkatan as the control class. Data were collected through a cultural literacy questionnaire and a critical thinking skills test administered during the pretest and posttest stages. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistics, including Hotelling’s T² MANOVA and the Independent Samples t-test. The results indicated that the improvement in cultural literacy and critical thinking skills of students in the experimental class was higher than that of the control class. These findings suggest that the implementation of the local culture-based FIVES model is effective in simultaneously enhancing both competencies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) siswa sekolah dasar di Gugus Sartika Kecamatan Pasir Penyu. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) tipe pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model Snowball Throwing dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model Snowball Throwing berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa. Motivasi belajar meningkat sebesar 15,8 poin (23,46%), sedangkan hasil belajar IPA meningkat sebesar 56,74 poin (177,9%). Uji ANOVA dua arah membuktikan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelas. Dengan demikian, model Snowball Throwing efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi serta hasil belajar IPA siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The low numeracy skills of students at the Elementary School level, based on the results of the National Assessment, show that around 38% of fifth grade elementary school students are in the "need special intervention" category in numeracy. Based on the results of a preliminary study on the SDN Cidokom 02 Education Report released on March 18, 2025, there was a decrease of 20.20% compared to 2024 in the numeracy indicator. In addition, the results of classroom observations showed a decrease in numeracy indicators and low motivation to learn mathematics due to learning that tends to be conventional, and has not been optimal in utilizing interactive digital media. This study aims to develop digital teaching materials based on Google Sites oriented to the FIVES learning model to improve learning motivation and numeracy skills of fifth grade students at SDN Cidokom 02. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were 41 fifth-grade students of SDN Cidokom 02. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires and tests. The validation results of the Google Sites-based digital teaching materials oriented to the FIVES learning model showed an average feasibility score of 93.9%, categorized as very feasible for use. The product's practicality was evidenced by an average observation score of 3.48 and a positive student response of 87.02%. The effectiveness of the teaching materials was proven by an increase in the average motivation and numeracy scores of students from a pretest of 51.71 to a posttest of 82.93, as well as an N-Gain value of 0.6488, which is considered quite effective. These findings indicate that Google Sites-based digital teaching materials with the FIVES model are able to significantly improve learning motivation and numeracy skills

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The study aims to investigate the impact of the deep-learning-oriented FIVES (Facts, Inferences, Vocabulary, Experiences, Summarize) model on reading and writing literacy among fifth-grade students. It specifically examines how the model facilitates the manifestation of mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning principles within the primary educational context Methodology: This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach to analyze the implementation of the deep-learning-oriented FIVES model. Subjects were selected via purposive sampling, involving fifth-grade students at SDN Ramea 1. Data were gathered through systematic observations and field notes, then analyzed using data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing techniques to ensure the credibility and depth of the findings. Main Findings: The implementation of the deep-learning-oriented FIVES model significantly proves to strengthen the principles of mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning. Students are capable of meticulously analyzing texts, connecting material with personal experiences, and exhibiting high enthusiasm during collaboration. This model effectively transforms literacy into a process of deep meaning construction, which enhances both writing quality and students' critical thinking skills. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study advances existing knowledge by integrating the FIVES model with a deep learning approach, specifically emphasizing the synergy between mindful, meaningful, and joyful principles. It provides a transformative pedagogical framework that transcends technical skill acquisition, offering unique strategies for primary educators to cultivate 21st-century literacy competencies through reflective, student-centered, and emotionally resonant classroom ecosystems.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan implementasi Cooperative Learning berbantuan Genially dan Kahoot! dalam meningkatkan kemampuan kolaborasi dan hasil belajar siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan dukungan data kuantitatif sederhana. Subjek penelitian adalah 20 siswa kelas V SD Negeri Kalirejo. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Cooperative Learning berbantuan Genially dan Kahoot! mampu meningkatkan kemampuan kolaborasi siswa pada aspek kerja sama, komunikasi, partisipasi aktif, dan tanggung jawab. Hasil belajar siswa juga meningkat dari nilai rata-rata 65 menjadi 85 dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar dari 55% menjadi 90%. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran berbantuan Genially dan Kahoot! efektif menciptakan pembelajaran yang aktif, interaktif, dan kolaboratif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan penerapan pendekatan konstruktivisme melalui Project Based Learning (PjBL) berbantuan media poster serta peningkatan keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi siswa kelas IV SDN 1 Tanjung Anom Kotaagung. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek 20 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan tes menulis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PjBL berbantuan media poster mampu meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa pada aspek isi, kerincian deskripsi, struktur teks, kosakata, serta ejaan dan tanda baca. Nilai rata-rata siswa meningkat dari 63 menjadi 88. Pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan media visual membantu siswa mengembangkan ide tulisan secara lebih sistematis dan kontekstual.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis transformasi kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sekolah dasar melalui social learning dalam pembelajaran kolaboratif berbasis teori belajar sosial Albert Bandura. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran kolaboratif yang terstruktur, yang menggabungkan diskusi kelompok dan pemodelan perilaku kognitif, berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa secara signifikan. Temuan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan menganalisis, mengevaluasi, dan menyimpulkan informasi secara mandiri maupun berkelompok. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah pendekatan social learning yang terintegrasi dalam pembelajaran kolaboratif mampu mentransformasi pola pikir siswa dari pasif menjadi kritis dan reflektif. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implikasi teori belajar kognitif dalam pembelajaran matematika di kelas IV SD Negeri 4 Rekso Binangun. Teori belajar kognitif, yang menekankan pada proses mental seperti persepsi, ingatan, dan pemecahan masalah, menjadi landasan untuk menganalisis bagaimana siswa memaknai dan mengorganisasi informasi matematika. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek guru dan siswa kelas IV. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teori kognitif berimplikasi pada: (1) penggunaan media konkret untuk membangun skema berpikir siswa, (2) strategi pengorganisasian materi pembelajaran yang sistematis dan bertahap, (3) pemberian kesempatan siswa untuk menemukan konsep matematika secara mandiri, serta (4) penguatan terhadap kesalahan konsep sebagai bagian dari proses asimilasi dan akomodasi. Implikasi ini terbukti dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep bilangan, geometri dasar, dan pemecahan masalah matematika sederhana. Kesimpulannya, teori belajar kognitif memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap efektivitas pembelajaran matematika di tingkat sekolah dasar, terutama dalam membangun proses berpikir logis dan sistematis siswa kelas IV.
