Abstract

Abaca-producing natural fiber as raw material for pulp paper money. Natural fibers derived from abaca, have environmentally friendly nature and local wisdom, highly favored by consumers manufacturer. Nowadays the need for abaca fiber in the country is still imported. Pulp and paper are derived from abaca has advantages including a tear-resistant, when it becomes difficult falsified paper or paper produced is used for Paper that is difficult to imitate, stamp paper dukomen (seals, certificates, diplomas and other important papers). Bank Indonesia (BI) in 2014 is more serious to use raw materials of cotton fiber and abaca fiber in the country. This is in accordance with the Currency Act N0. 7 Year 2011 on article 9 (2) in order to give priority to domestic raw materials (local) to maintain the quality, safety and competitive prices in the printing Rupiah. The first harvest abaca at age 18-20 months after planting. At that time there has been no income for farmers, their inter-cropping between chili + abaca provide a source of income, because chili is a seasonal crop that yields chilli can assist in meeting the needs of farmers in financial trouble. Besides, there is no plant stand (Jabon, or sengon). The pattern of intercropping abaca + small chilli may generate profits of Rp. 21.333 million, - thus the development of abaca has good prospects. The purpose of the writing of this review is to provide support for the existence of abaca development innovation as a source of natural fiber which contribute in providing raw materials of paper money dicanakan by Bank Indonesia and to create employment in rural areas, and provide a source of income of farmers.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Bioethanol is one of strategic alternative fuel to develop.  One of substrate that promises to be used is molasses. Molasses is by-product of sugar industry which contain of sugar about 45-54,6%. Bioethanol from sugarcane molase is necessary to develope because it is very profitable, large supply, availability technology, and no-competion to  food.  This paper was aimed to reviews some research results and their implications on raw materials, processes, advanced environments and strategies to increas bioethanol productivity of molasses through the fermentation process engineering. In the manufacture of ethanol, fermentation is an important holding process.  In ethanol production, fermentation plays an important role.  Fermentation environments arragement such as temperature, pH, and pressure can effect on bioprocess of fermentation. Similarly, the addition of supplemental ingredients such as sugar, salt, and metal ions by appropriate type and concentration can also optimize the fermentation process. In addition to environmental arrangement and supplemental adding, strategies to improve bioethanol productivity of molasses can be accomplished by 1) the use of microbes other than Saccharomyces cerevisiae; 2) pretreatment; and 3) continuous fermentation method. The use of microbes other than Saccharomyces cerevisiae, such as Zymomonas mobilis can increase ethanol productivity up to 55.8 g / L or 27.9% of total sugar reduction.  Pretreatment can increase microbial productivity in converting sugar to ethanol, while continuous use of fermentation method can increase productivity by + 4.75 g / L / hr.

Abstract

PCR-based markers and evaluation of physicochemical properties should be addressed for the improvement of rice varieties with good eating dan eating quality (EQ). This study aimed to examine the genetic diversity of rice varieties based on DNA markers related to physicochemical properties determining EQ. A total of 46 rice varieties consisting of 22 japonica varieties and 24 indica varieties were examined using 43 PCR-based markers. The results showed that polymorphic information content (PIC) ranged from 0.04 to 0.38, in support of genetic diversity indices which ranged from 0.04 to 0.50 across total markers. Pairwise genetic similarity matrix ranged from 0.40 to 0.98 with the closest genetic distance was observed between two japonica varieties (Dongjin and Hwaseong) and the most distant one was between japonica and indica (Onnuri/Manmi with Cigeulis/Fatmawati). The unweighted neighbor-joining tree clustered the rice varieties into two major clades, indica and japonica, and subsequent subclades were differentiating according to the individual genetic background. The genetic diversity of rice from different subspecies and DNA markers for EQ can effectively be utilized for basic information and marker-assisted selection (MAS) for the development of improved varieties with good EQ in rice breeding program.

Abstract

Indonesia's local rice varieties (Oryza sativa L.) have a wide range of diversity that can be valuable sources for crop improvement with molecular markers. This study investigated local rice varieties' genetic diversity and population structure using simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers. The SSR markers demonstrated their informativeness for genotypic characterization as represented by the gene diversity indices and polymorphic information content. The UPGMA dendrogram divided 63 varieties into two distinct clusters with different levels of sub-grouping and the tendency according to their origins, as supported by PCoA. In contrast, PCA of these varieties according to agro-morphological traits was scattered in all quadrants. Thus, DNA level variation analyzed by SSR seems to complement the phenotypic traits, which were not well structured and revealed significant genetic diversity among varieties, within, and among populations (P<0.01). The pattern of grouping structure analysis of total varieties into two subpopulations is similar to the dendrogram according to SSR markers but better resembles the pedigree information of the set local varieties. These findings have implied their importance in rice breeding for genetic improvement, maintenance, and management of local genetic resources in Indonesia.

Abstract

AbstractThis research discusses the role of the Land Office in providing legal certainty for land rights through the Comprehensive Systematic Land Registration Program (PTSL) in the city of Semarang. The Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia of 1945 establishes the foundation that land, water, and natural resources are controlled by the state for the prosperity of the people. The Basic Agrarian Law (UUPA) serves as the legal framework governing land tenure and assigns the government the task of land registration. Land registration is an effort to provide legal certainty for land rights. The PTSL program is implemented as part of the government's efforts to expedite land registration in an easily understandable and cost-effective manner. However, there are challenges in its implementation, such as the lack of data validity due to prioritizing speed over accuracy. The Land Office, as the land registration authority in Indonesia, plays a key role in the implementation of PTSL. This research focuses on the implementation of PTSL in the city of Semarang, acknowledged as the best in Indonesia. The aim is to evaluate the extent of the Land Office's role in providing legal certainty for land rights through this program and to identify potential challenges. By considering the experience of land certification that prioritizes speed, this research is expected to provide insights into the effectiveness and challenges of PTSL implementation at the local level, as well as the Land Office's contribution to ensuring legal certainty for land rights in the city of Semarang.
