Abstract

The use of water hyacinth as fodder in Tapen, Kudu is one of the innovative solutions to overcome environmental problems while improving the welfare of livestock farmers. The purpose of holding the socialization of the use of water hyacinth is to provide the community with an understanding of the processing of water hyacinth into fodder. The method used in this community service program is a discussion in the form of providing materials and questions and answers regarding the importance of using water hyacinth as fodder. The targets of this economic program are farmer groups, livestock farmers and youth of Tapen. As a result of this community service, people who previously saw water hyacinth only as a problem are now able to see it as a useful resource.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive Digital Story Book learning media to significantly enhance Arabic reading skills (maharah qirā’ah) among seventh-grade students at MTsN 3 Jombang. Reading skills play a crucial role but are often hindered by low interest and monotonous media. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method utilizing the comprehensive 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). Data were systematically collected through initial observations, in-depth interviews, questionnaires, pre-tests, and post-tests to measure skill improvements. The results of the material expert validation obtained an outstanding feasibility score of 90.59%, while the media expert validation reached 96.00%, both categorized as highly feasible for implementation. Field trials indicated an overwhelmingly positive student response with a score of 97.53%, proving that the media is highly engaging, user-friendly, and effective. The paired sample t-test revealed a significant difference between pre-test (average 37.23) and post-test (average 89.97) results with a p-value < 0.05, confirming that the interactive Digital Story Book effectively improves Arabic reading skills.

Abstract

This study specifically aims to provide solutions to problems in learning Arabic, especially in writing skills. This study focuses on the implementation of the learning model project based learning (PjBL) in Arabic language learning. This study was applied using one-group pre-test post-test design, which compares the learning outcomes of students before and after treatment without a control group. The method used is a quasi-experiment using quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results showed a change in the paradigm of learning, which initially focused on the Learning Center educator (teacher-centered) switch to learners (student-centered). This study succeeded in increasing the involvement of students, and showed an increase in students ' writing skills. This is evident in the results of the analysis of pre-test and post-test scores using the wilcoxon test with a significance value (Z= -4.871; P <0.01) which shows that Ha is accepted and shows the significance of learners ' scores. This study has a novelty that specifically measures the improvement of writing skills through a real product in the form of Arabic concept maps, in contrast to previous studies that focused on learning interests. So that this study is able to provide practical implications for educators, namely analyzing and adopting the results of this study as a consideration and guidance in implementing a learning model.

Abstract

Mastery of mahārah al-kitābah is one of the fundamental competencies in Arabic language learning that reflects not only mastery of grammar and vocabulary but also the ability to think critically and systematically. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using the book Durusul Lughah Al-Arabiyyah in improving the writing skills of fifth-grade students at Kulliyatul Mu’allimin Al-Islamiyah (KMI), which is equivalent to Grade XI of senior high school. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method and a nonequivalent control group design. The research participants consisted of 40 students divided into an experimental class and a control class, with 20 students in each class. The experimental class received instruction using the book Durusul Lughah Al-Arabiyyah, whereas the control class used the conventional book Tamrin Al-Lughah. Data were collected through written essay tests in the form of pretests and posttests, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the experimental class achieved a mean posttest score of 72.00 (SD = 14.09), which was higher than the control class’s mean score of 52.50 (SD = 10.07). The research instrument demonstrated high reliability, with a Cronbach’s alpha value of 0.862. The independent-samples t-test yielded a calculated t-value of 5.03 with p < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the two groups. Thus, the use of the book Durusul Lughah Al-Arabiyyah was effective in improving students’ mahārah al-kitābah. These findings provide practical implications for educators in selecting systematic instructional materials to improve the quality of Arabic writing skills instruction.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul program tahfidz berbasis mutqin yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Model pengembangan yang digunakan modul ajar ini adalah Bord & Gall dengan 8 langkah yaitu: (1) Analisis Kebutuhan (Analyze), (2) Desain Produk, (3) Pengembangan Media (Development), (4) Validasi Ahli (Validation), (5) Revisi Hasil Media, (6) Uji Coba Lapangan (Main Field Testing), (7) Penyempurnaan Produk, (8) Implementasi Produk Akhir. Hasil validasi oleh dua ahli materi dan media. Ahli materi sebesar 83,6% dan ahli media 85%. Dan hasil kepraktisan media pada saat uji mencapai persentase sebesar 86,9% (sangat praktis). Dan modul ajar ini cukup efektif, dibuktikan dengan nilai yang meningkat sebelum menggunakan modul ajar yaitu rata-rata 61,6 dan setelah menggunakan modul ajar menjadi 85,5% kenaikan tersebut sebesar 23,9 poin dan dalam analisis N-Gain sebesar 0.62% pada taraf cukup baik, serta modul ini dapat meningkatkan kualitas hafalan Al-Qur’an pada santriwati.

Abstract

Arabic language learning, which encompasses the four core skills listening, speaking, reading, and writing, requires interactive and innovative learning media. However, in practice, the learning process is still dominated by conventional methods with limited use of media, resulting in low interest and poor Arabic language skills among female students. This study aims to develop, assess the feasibility of, and test the effectiveness of an interactive animated learning medium based on the Android Smart Arabic Holistic Learning App (SAHLA) developed using iSpring Suite 11 to enhance the interest and Arabic language skills of female students in the 10th grade at the K.H. Abd. Wahab Hasbulloh Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Jombang Elite Islamic High School. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research instruments included a needs analysis questionnaire, an expert validation sheet, a student response questionnaire, and learning outcome tests in the form of pre-tests and post-tests. The research results show that the media needs level reached 85.4% (very high category), content expert validation was 80% (acceptable category), media expert validation was 94% (very acceptable category), and student response was 87.7% (very good category). The results of the paired-sample t-test showed that the calculated t-value of 39.2 was greater than the critical t-value of 2.032 at a significance level of 0.05. In addition, there was an increase in the mean score from 30.63 (pre-test) to 81.15 (post-test), with an average difference of 38.57. Thus, the SAHLA learning medium is deemed suitable and effective for improving the students’ interest in and proficiency in the Arabic language. Abstract

This activity aims to increase the awareness of the Tapen Village community regarding the importance of using water hyacinth plants as raw materials for making organic fertilizer, which is an innovative solution that not only helps overcome environmental problems, but also provides economic benefits. The approach method used for the community in Tapen village is the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. This method is a research method carried out in a participatory manner between Farmer Groups to encourage the implementation of previously planned programs. This socialization activity was carried out through discussions in the form of providing materials and questions and answers regarding the importance of processing and using water hyacinth as a basic ingredient for liquid organic fertilizer. The results obtained from this activity are able to increase the knowledge and skills of the participants, especially farmer groups, village officials and Tapen Village youth in processing water hyacinth into liquid organic fertilizer. This output is very important because it empowers communities to utilize the natural resources around them, as well as reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers.

Abstract

This research and development aims to (1) design and develop a more attractive QR Code-based Islamic Cultural History textbook with material that is easy to understand, equipped with pictures and videos that are appropriate to the material developed so as to encourage students to learn effectively. independently 2) determine the level of effectiveness of the QR Code-based Islamic Cultural History textbook. This research uses research and development methods. The samples tested were students from classes XI IPA and XI IPS. Data collection used validation questionnaires, response questionnaires, interviews, observations and documentation carried out at MA Mambaul Ulum Megaluh Jombang. The data analysis techniques used are qualitative and quantitative. Validation by media experts gave an assessment in the "very suitable" category, media experts and student results gave an assessment in the "suitable" category. So it can be concluded that the QR Code-based Islamic Cultural History textbook design is effective and suitable for use for teaching and learning activities for students.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Arabic learning media based on the Articulate Storyline 3 application that is valid, practical, and effective in improving students' vocabulary mastery. The development model used is ADDIE with five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation.The validation results show that the learning media is highly valid. Subject matter experts gave a score of 86%, while media experts gave a score of 88%, meaning that the media is suitable for use without major revisions. Student responses also showed a very interesting category with a percentage of 90%, which means that the media is easy to use, interesting, and helps with vocabulary comprehension.The effectiveness test was conducted by comparing pre-test and post-test scores. The average pre-test score of students was 59,2, while the average post-test score increased to 87,6, with an increase of 28,4 points. These results indicate that the Articulate Storyline 3-based learning media is effective in improving students' vocabulary mastery.Thus, the learning media developed can be used as an alternative interactive media to strengthen vocabulary mastery and increase student motivation in learning Arabic.

Abstract

Writing skills are essential in learning Arabic, as they require vocabulary mastery, grammatical rules, and the ability to organize ideas systematically. However, the writing skills of Class X B students at Al-Rosyid Islamic Boarding School (Pondok Pesantren) Bojonegoro remain low. This is evident from errors in sentence structure, limited vocabulary, and low learning motivation caused by conventional, less diverse teaching methods. Therefore, innovation in interactive learning media is needed, one of which is through the digital game Educandy. This study aims to determine the impact of using Educandy media on improving students' Arabic writing skills and to evaluate its effectiveness compared to conventional teaching methods. This research employed a quantitative approach conducted on a learning group. Data were collected through written tests (pre-test and post-test), observation, and documentation, and analyzed using paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test. The results indicated that the use of Educandy media significantly improved students' Arabic writing skills. Furthermore, Educandy enhanced learning motivation, active participation, and students' ability to expand vocabulary while composing sentences more accurately. Thus, Educandy media is proven effective as an innovative learning alternative for Arabic writing skills.
