Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kolaboratif terhadap hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 060914 Medan Sunggal Tahun Pembelajaran 2023/2024. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dan jumlah sampel penelitian ini adalah 26 siswa berdasarkan teknik sampling jenuh. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa termasuk kategori baik dengan rata-rata 81,69. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil pengujian korelasi dapat dilihat bahwa koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,734 artinya rhitung (0,734) rtabel (0,388) maka ha diterima. Maka terdapat pengaruh kuat antara model kolaboratif terhadap hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 060914 Medan Sunggal. Dapat juga dilihat dari pengujian uji-t Dimana thitung ttabel yaitu 5,269 2,056 sehingga menyatakan bahwa ha diterima. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif yang signifikan dari penggunaan model pembelajaran kolaboratif terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 060914 Medan Sunggal Tahun Pembelajaran 2023/2024.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IV SD Taman Siswa Medan Selayang melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Solving berbantuan alat peraga. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada materi Piktogram dan Diagram Batang, serta terbatasnya penggunaan model dan media pembelajaran yang kontekstual dan menarik. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari dua siklus, masing-masing meliputi tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 21 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan mencakup observasi, tes tertulis, dan dokumentasi, dengan teknik analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa secara signifikan dari pra-siklus hingga siklus II. Ketuntasan klasikal meningkat dari 33,3% pada pra-siklus menjadi 52,4% di siklus I, dan mencapai 85,7% pada siklus II. Aktivitas guru dan siswa juga menunjukkan peningkatan kualitas pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa model pembelajaran Problem Solving berbantuan alat peraga mampu menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif, bermakna, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Snowball Throwing type cooperative learning model based on time board media on student learning outcomes in mathematics learning in class II UPT SD Nrgeri 068004 Medan Tuntungan in the 2024/2025 Academic Year. The research method used is an experimental method with a quantitative research type. To obtain the required data, a test instrument of 30 questions. The number of research samples was 31 students based on the purposive sample technique. To determine the initial abilities of students, the study conducted a Pre Test with an average score of 49.93 which was in the less category. The results of the Post Test have an increase from the results of the Pre Test given previously with an average student score reaching 73.54 in the good category. It can be said that the level of success of student learning outcomes has increased as evidenced by the results of the correlation coefficient test calculation obtained the results of r_count ≥ r_table with a result of 0,814 ≥ 0,344. Furthermore, the hypothesis test that compares the value of t_count ≥ t_table. The value of t_count = 7,546 while t_table = 1,696. Because t_count ≥ t_table (7,546 ≥ 1,696) then H_a is accepted and H_o is rejected. Through the t-test, it can be concluded that there is a significant positive influence between the Snowball Throwing type cooperative learning model based on time board media (X) on student learning outcomes (Y).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Picture and Picture type cooperative learning model assisted by Wordwall media on student learning outcomes in the subject of IPA class IV at UPT SPF SDN 101826 Tuntungan in the 2024/2025 Academic Year. The background of this study is based on the low learning outcomes of students caused by the use of conventional learning methods that do not involve student activity. The method used is quantitative research with a one group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study was 26 fourth grade students. The information collection technique was carried out through tests and questionnaires. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant increase in student learning outcomes after the application of the Picture and Picture cooperative model assisted by Wordwall. This is evidenced by the average posttest score of 83.58 which is higher with a very good category compared to the pretest of 51.84 with a less category. It can be said that the level of success of student learning outcomes has increased with the results of the correlation coefficient test calculation obtained r_count ≥r_tabel with a result of 0.875≥ 0.388. then hypothesis testing compares the value of obtained the t_count ≥t table with results of 8.857 while t_table = 1.706 because Because t_count ≥t_table (8.857 ≥ 1.706) then H_a is accepted and H_o is rejected. Through the t-test it can be concluded that there is a significant positive influence between the cooperative learning model of the picture and picture type assisted by wordwall media (X) on student learning outcomes (Y).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Student Facilitator and Explaining learning model on students' learning outcomes in the IPAS (Integrated Science and Social Studies) subject for Grade V at UPT SPF SDN 101826 Tuntungan in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research employed an experimental method with a quantitative research approach. To collect the necessary data, a test instrument consisting of 40 questions was used. The sample consisted of 25 students selected using a saturated sampling technique. To assess the students' initial abilities, a pre-test was administered, resulting in an average score of 42.64, which falls into the "low" category. The post-test results showed a significant improvement, with the average score increasing to 84.16, classified as "good." This indicates that stujdents' learning outcomes improved, as evidenced by the correlation coefficient test results, where r count ≥ r table (0.864 ≥ 0.396). Furthermore, hypothesis testing was conducted by comparing t count with t table. The results showed that t count = 8.215 and t table = 2.064. Since t count ≥ t table (8.215 ≥ 2.064), the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. Based on the t-test, it can be concluded that there is a significant and positive effect of the Student Facilitator and Explaining learning model (X) on students’ learning outcomes (Y).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Make A Match learning model assisted by Wordwall media on the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade students in mathematics at SD Negeri 104217 Sidomulyo for the 2024/2025 academic year. The research method used is an experimental method with a quantitative research approach. To collect data, the instruments used were 5 essay test questions and a 30-item questionnaire. The sample consisted of 32 students, selected using total sampling technique. To assess students’ initial abilities, a pretest was conducted with an average score of 28, which falls into the "poor" category. The results showed an improvement in the posttest scores, with an average score of 83, classified as "very good." It can be concluded that the students’ learning outcomes improved significantly with the implementation of the Make A Match learning model assisted by Wordwall media. This was supported by the correlation coefficient test result of 0.764 ≥ 0.349, indicating a strong correlation. Furthermore, the hypothesis test yielded a t-count value of 6.492, while the t-table value was 1.694. Since 6.492 ≥ 1.694, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. Based on the t-test, it can be concluded that there is a significant positive effect of the Make A Match learning model assisted by Wordwall media (X) on students’ critical thinking skills (Y).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the brainstorming learning method on the learning outcomes of fourth grade Pancasila Education students at SD Negeri 106146 Muliorejo Learning Year 2024/2025. The research method used is quantitative with a pre-experimental approach using a one group pretest-posttest design. Data collection techniques were carried out through tests, questionnaires, and documentation. Data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially with the help of SPSS, through normality test, correlation test, and t-test. The results showed that there was an increase in learning outcomes after the implementation of the brainstorming method. This proves that the brainstorming learning method has a positive effect on Pancasila Education learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the problem based learning model on students' critical thinking skills in the Science subject on the topic of My Region, My Pride, class V of Elementary School 060884, Medan Baru District, 2024/2025 Academic Year. The research method used is a quantitative method and the number of research samples is 30 based on the saturated sample technique. The results of this study indicate that the results of the critical thinking ability test with an average of 80. The results of this study indicate that the results of the correlation test r count 0.827 with a significance level of 5% with the number of respondents 30 so that r table 0.361. From these results it shows r count (0.827) > r table (0.361) then Ha is accepted. So there is a strong influence between the problem based learning model on the critical thinking skills of fifth grade students of Elementary School 060884 Medan Baru District. It can also be seen from the t-test where t count> t table is 7.787 > 1.701 so Ha is accepted. This shows a significant positive influence of the use of the problem-based learning model on the critical thinking skills of grade V students of Elementary School 060884, Medan Baru District, 2024/2025 Academic Year.

Abstract

The present study analyses the needs and readiness for implementing Science and Social Studies (IPAS) learning based on Project-Based Learning (PjBL) integrated with local wisdom values, particularly the Toba Nauli cultural philosophy, at the elementary school level. Motivated by the low science literacy of Indonesian students as revealed in the 2022 PISA results and the lack of contextual relevance in IPAS content, the research adopts a mixed-methods design combining qualitative and quantitative approaches. Data were collected through interviews, classroom observations, document analysis, and Likert-scale questionnaires involving 20 teachers and 40 students across four elementary schools in Medan. The research results show that teachers have a positive perception of the importance of PjBL and science literacy, as well as a high belief in the relevance of Toba Nauli values in IPAS learning (M = 4.20; SD = 0.68). However, the limitations of teaching modules, lack of training, and low use of local media have made cultural integration in learning not optimally implemented. On the other hand, students show high enthusiasm for project-based learning. However, their actual experience with learning incorporating local culture is minimal (only 15% of students reported having experienced it). These findings indicate a significant potential yet to be realised within the current IPAS learning system. Therefore, this research recommends developing a PjBL-based IPAS learning model that incorporates the Toba Nauli philosophy as a foundation for the local context to enhance students' science literacy in a meaningful, contextual, and culturally rooted manner. These findings are expected to serve as a conceptual and empirical foundation in designing transformative learning innovations in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and implement an integrated learning model combining Project-Based Learning (PjBL) and Guided Inquiry Learning (GIL) to enhance science literacy in students within the advanced science education course. The study was conducted to students from the Elementary School Teacher Education Program at the Catholic University of Santo Thomas, focusing on the topic of States of Matter. A quasi-experimental design with a pre-test – post-test control group design was employed, where the control group received conventional teaching methods, and the experimental group engaged in the integrated PjBL-GIL model. The results reveal a significant difference in science literacy improvement between the groups. The experimental group, using the integrated PjBL-GIL model, showed a greater improvement (22.4%) compared to the control group (7.7%). Statistical analysis using a two-sample t-test confirmed the significance of this difference, with a t-value of 5.16 and a p-value of 0.000, indicating a statistically significant improvement in the experimental group. The effect size, measured by Cohen's d, was 2.53, indicating a large effect. ANCOVA results showed that even after controlling for baseline differences, the experimental group still demonstrated significantly higher post-test scores (p-value = 0.000). Furthermore, Pearson’s correlation analysis revealed a significant positive relationship between collaboration and science literacy improvement (r = 0.62, p = 0.01), emphasising the importance of collaboration in enhancing learning outcomes. These findings suggest that the integrated PjBL-GIL model is effective in improving critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the application of scientific concepts. And it is recommended that this model be expanded in science education in Indonesia to further improve the quality of learning and students' science literacy.
