Abstract

This study aims to develop a Linear Program textbook for Mathematics Education students. This research is a research and development research that begins with potential and problem steps, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product testing, product revision, usage testing, product revision and mass production. The research carried out only reached the step of knowing the validity of the Linear Program textbooks that had been developed. The instrument used is a learning expert validation sheet. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis. This research was conducted on second semester students of Mathematics Education FKIP Riau Islamic University in the Linear Program course. This research was conducted in the 2020/2021 Academic year. From the results of the study, it was obtained that the overall percentage average for each aspect of the validation sheet assessment was 85.4% with Very Valid criteria. The Linear Program textbook that has been developed can be called valid because it has met three aspects of the textbook validation criteria, namely aspects, namely Aspects of Content (content), Aspects of Construct (presentation) and Aspects of Language. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Linear Program textbook has been tested for validity, so that it can be used in the learning process.

Abstract

Riau Tennis Tournament, yang diselenggarakan oleh WSRJ Management, merupakan salah satu event junior nasional unggulan di Indonesia, menarik partisipasi lebih dari 250 pemain. Namun, keberhasilan turnamen ini dihadapkan pada permasalahan serius terkait kualitas perwasitan. Terdapat keluhan signifikan dari orang tua pemain dan pelatih mengenai ketidakpuasan terhadap ketidakonsistenan keputusan wasit dan kurangnya pemahaman ofisial terhadap pembaruan peraturan International Tennis Federation (ITF). Permasalahan ini berpotensi merusak kredibilitas turnamen dan mengurangi pengalaman positif bagi peserta. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi kesenjangan kompetensi tersebut demi meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan pertandingan yang profesional dan memperkuat citra positif turnamen. Metode Pelaksanaan: Solusi yang dirancang adalah penyelenggaraan Program Penyegaran Wasit dan Linesman (refreshment training). Metode yang digunakan bersifat sistematis, meliputi sesi pelatihan intensif selama dua hari (teori dan praktik) yang fokus pada pemutakhiran aturan terkini, prosedur standar operasional, dan simulasi pertandingan nyata. Untuk menjamin konsistensi pemahaman, dikembangkan Modul Digital Interaktif dan Buku Saku Cetak sebagai media referensi cepat di lapangan. Program ini juga menerapkan Sistem Evaluasi dan Sertifikasi Internal serta Pengembangan Database Digital Wasit untuk memudahkan mitra dalam manajemen sumber daya manusia (SDM) ofisial di masa depan. Hasil dan Kontribusi: Pelaksanaan PkM ini diharapkan menghasilkan peningkatan akurasi keputusan wasit dalam simulasi pertandingan (target ≥90%), serta menjamin konsistensi dalam penerapan aturan pertandingan terkini di antara ofisial. Luaran manajerial mencakup tersedianya database aktif yang memfasilitasi pemetaan dan pelacakan perkembangan SDM wasit. Kontribusi terpenting PkM ini adalah mewujudkan profesionalisme ofisial pertandingan yang selama ini belum tersedia secara sistematis di tingkat daerah, sehingga mutu kompetisi dapat setara dengan turnamen nasional lainnya. Selain itu, program ini selaras dengan kebijakan Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) dan mendukung pencapaian Indikator Kinerja Utama (IKU), khususnya IKU 2, IKU 5, dan IKU 6.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to examine the effectiveness of multimedia-assisted teaching materials in improving students’ mathematical connection skills in an Educational Statistics course. It also explores the conditions under which multimedia-based instruction may or may not outperform conventional teaching methods. Method: A quasi-experimental pretest–posttest control group design was employed. The sample consisted of an experimental group (n = 30) that utilized multimedia-assisted teaching materials and a control group (n = 30) that received conventional instruction. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, Levene’s homogeneity test, paired-sample t-tests, independent-sample t-tests, and effect size analysis (N-Gain and Cohen’s d). Findings: Both groups demonstrated significant improvement. However, the experimental group showed a substantially greater increase (mean difference = 11.80) compared to the control group (mean difference = 7.24). The independent-sample t-test indicated a statistically significant difference between the two groups (t (58) = -2.25, p = 0.028), favoring the experimental group. Effect size analysis revealed a Cohen’s d of 0.58 (medium effect) and an N-Gain of 0.35 (medium category) for the experimental group, while the control group showed an N-Gain of 0.19 (low category). Significance: These findings suggest that multimedia-assisted learning is not inherently superior; its effectiveness depends on factors such as instructional design quality, cognitive load management, implementation fidelity, and students’ readiness. This study contributes to the literature by offering a more critical perspective on the conditional effectiveness of multimedia in mathematics education and highlights the importance of context-sensitive technology integration.

Abstract

The activities of the Community aims to increase the knowledge and abilities of Al-Fikri Middle School teachers in the Marpoyan Damai sub-district in the Use of Formating Cells and Modifiying Cells in Microsoft Exel. It is expected that the teachers of Pekanbaru Fikri Middle School can improve their knowledge, abilities and interests in the Use of Formating Cells and Modifiying Cells in Microsoft Exel for both learning and school administration needs. This service was carried out at AL-Fikri Middle School, having its address at Jalan Merak No. 1 Tangkerang Tengah Marpoyan Damai Pekanbaru in the odd semester of TP. 2018/2019. Service methods in the form of lectures, questions and answers and mentoring. The benefits of this activity for mathematics teachers at Al Fikri Pekanbaru Middle School who participated as trainees, can improve their knowledge, abilities and interests in utilizing Microsoft Excel in an effort to improve their pedagogical and professional competencies.

His service aims to improve the knowledge and insight of Gema Kosgoro (Kosgoro Student Movement) Pekanbaru city Tangkerang Labuai Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru city in organizing and giving opportunities to Gema Kosgoro (Kosgoro Student Movement) Pekanbaru city to be motivated to participate in organizing through training organizational character formation.
