Abstract

The conflict resolution e-module for KD is the relevance of applying the values of Pancasila in analyzing cases of violations and denial of the rights and obligations of citizens, in the subject of ENGLISH Students at Program Intensive Course at SMA class XII semester 1, serves as a practical learning medium for high school students to be able to understand and resolve conflicts. This study aims to assist students in recognizing various cases of violations and denial of the rights and obligations of citizens so that awareness of their rights and obligations as citizens can grow, with the hope of becoming good citizens who can avoid or manage conflicts well. This research is deliberately and systematically aimed or directed to be able to find or formulate products, models, media, methods, and certain strategies that are more effective, efficient and innovative. The research model used in This study is a Plomp research model which is an adaptation of the model developed by Tjeerd Plomyang. This model was chosen because it is more systematic, directed, suitable and relevant for the learning tools in the selected KD. The result show that learning using the E-Module Conflict Resolution as a learning medium for high school students or equivalent is declared more effective and practical. Abstract

This study aims to build social care through an engagement-based Civic Education curriculum at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta/UNY whose students have diverse backgrounds. This study was developed based on the qualitative approach through 1) a focus group discussion to examine the engagement learning model in the Civic Education curriculum, 2) a workshop on the development of engagement learning models, 3) expert validation using the engagement learning model instrument, 4) implementation of engagement learning model, and 5) reflections on the engagement learning model implementation. The results of this study show that the Engagement Learning Model can improve social care shown from mutual respect for diversity, social cohesion, sympathy for others, and volunteerism. The researcher used the social value theory to analyze students' social care. This engagement learning model can develop a social collaboration that promotes the unique characteristics of each student. Students are trained to be critical and socially sensitive through an engagement project consisting of social activities in the community in Civic Education learning. Increasing students' care from Civic Education may positively influence students' knowledge, attitudes, and social relations in their groups and outside their groups, respect and acceptance of diversity, social cohesion that forms cooperation, sympathy for others that form social solidarity, as well as a sense of volunteerism that makes students provide solutions to social problems.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the results of observations, that the learning process in English subjects at SMK Ma'arif 5 Kotagajah has so far been teacher-centered and currently the teaching and learning process is that the teacher only uses the lecture method and uses only limited learning media by teachers and schools. This research aims to describe the procedures for developing pocket books, determine the validity of developing pocket books, and determine the effectiveness of developing pocket books as an English language learning medium at SMK Ma'arif 5 Kotagajah. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method. This research uses a development model developed by Borg and Gall and the development model in this research uses a design from ADDIE. At the Development stage, this vocabulary pocket book was assessed for its suitability by material experts and media experts. The learning media validation results obtained a very valid category with a percentage of 92.2% by material experts and 91.4% by media experts. It can be concluded that research into the development of pocket books as a vocabulary learning medium is stated to be very strong when used as supporting teaching materials. Abstract

This study aims to determine the strategic role of Citizenship Education in fostering the attitude of nationalism of young citizens in the era of globalization. The research method used is a survey. The results showed. Citizenship Education in higher education can contribute to fostering nationalism with the values of Pancasila has a significant role for young citizen. Citizenship education learning approaches are more interactive through the problem-based learning model. In the learning process with the PBL model so that the maximum educator must have broad insight competencies.

Abstract

Civic education in Indonesia faces challenges in building civic engagement and political participation among the younger generation. The main issue raised in this study is the importance of civic disposition in shaping the attitudes and behaviors of active citizens. The method used is a literature study that analyzes various academic sources, educational policies, and relevant learning practices. The results of this study show that strengthening civic disposition can be done through an integrative approach, including teaching democratic values, argumentation skills, and developing empathy. The impact of this strengthening can be seen in the increase in political awareness and student participation in social and political activities in their communities. The conclusion of this study confirms that the integration of civic disposition in civic education not only improves students' knowledge but also shapes the character and skills necessary to become active and responsible citizens. This effort is expected to create a younger generation that is more sensitive to social issues and contribute positively to the development of democracy in Indonesia.

Abstract

Civic engagement berbasis nilai-nilai Pancasila berperan penting dalam membangun kesadaran konstitusional yang dapat mewujudkan warga negara yang baik dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penguatan civic engagement berbasis Pancasila dalam membangun kesadaran konstitusional guna menciptakan warga negara yang baik dan berkelanjutan. Civic engagement, yang mencakup partisipasi aktif masyarakat dalam kehidupan politik dan sosial, merupakan elemen penting dalam menciptakan masyarakat yang demokratis dan berkeadilan. Dengan menggunakan metode studi literatur, penelitian ini menggali berbagai teori, penelitian sebelumnya, serta pandangan ahli mengenai hubungan antara civic engagement, Pancasila, dan kesadaran konstitusional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa civic engagement yang dibangun atas nilai-nilai Pancasila tidak hanya mendorong partisipasi warga negara dalam kehidupan publik, tetapi juga memperkuat kesadaran konstitusional. Hal ini penting dalam membangun tatanan masyarakat yang demokratis, di mana warga negara tidak hanya memiliki hak, tetapi juga memahami tanggung jawabnya. Kesadaran konstitusional berbasis Pancasila memungkinkan terciptanya keseimbangan antara hak individu dan kepentingan kolektif, yang pada akhirnya mendukung keberlanjutan sosial dan politik. Studi ini merekomendasikan penguatan pendidikan civic engagement berbasis Pancasila dalam kurikulum pendidikan formal dan non-formal untuk membentuk generasi yang sadar hukum, kritis, dan berdaya saing dalam menghadapi tantangan global.

Abstract

In utterance, there must be some disfluency whether in normal people or in stutterer. Moreover, the disfluency would be different if it was categorized into two based on the gender. The researchers’ figures out the disfluency based on the gender, male and female. The article was to find out any types of disfluency that appear on the male and female speeches, to find the dominant type of disfluency occured in male and female speeches, the difference between male and female speeches, and the factors causing the disfluency made by male and female speeches. The sample was 24 English learners at Kampung Inggris Semarang, 12 males and 12 females. In collecting the data the researchers used observation and interview. In analysing the data, the researchers used the theory from Clark and Wasow supported by Johnson and Bortfeld et.al. The result showed that nine types of disfluency occur in learners’ speech, i.e filler, silent pause, revision, incomplete phrase, broken word, repetition, grammatical disfluency, prolongation, and false start. The dominant disfluency occured in male and female speeches was filler. In the dominant disfluency, males produced more filers than females, whereas silent pause was more produced in female speeches. Besides, there was some factors causing disfluency made by male and female learners of Kampung Inggris Semarang, which were related to psychological factors. It included cognitive factors and affective factors. In total, male produced more disfluency than female. Besides that male learner made more factors which could affect the disfluency in their speeches than female learners, male learners were more likely not in mastering grammar and vocabularies and getting prepared in materials. Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of character building at MTsN 6 Sragen, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors in the process. The background of this research stems from the importance of character education in shaping students with integrity, honesty, discipline, and responsibility. In an era of globalization filled with moral challenges, character education becomes a vital aspect that must be implemented in schools. This research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving teachers, students, and school staff at MTsN 6 Sragen. The research findings indicate that the implementation of character building at MTsN 6 Sragen has been effective, although some challenges remain, such as limited teaching time and minimal parental involvement. Other findings show that students participating in this program tend to exhibit better discipline and responsibility. The main supporting factors include the commitment of teachers in running the program and a conducive school environment. However, social media influence and lack of family engagement present the primary challenges. The study implies that the success of character education in schools requires strong collaboration between schools, families, and communities.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat yang bertujuan memperkuat wawasan kebangsaan bagi siswa dan guru di SMA Negeri 1 Singaparna, Kabupaten Tasikmalaya, pada tanggal 26 Juni 2024. Metode penyuluhan dipilih sebagai pendekatan utama untuk mencapai tujuan ini. Kegiatan ini didasarkan pada urgensi untuk meningkatkan pemahaman tentang nilai-nilai kebangsaan, sejarah, dan budaya Indonesia di kalangan generasi muda, serta para pendidik yang berperan dalam membentuk perspektif mereka.Kegiatan dimulai dengan penyampaian materi tentang konsep kebangsaan, pentingnya persatuan, keberagaman budaya, serta peran masing-masing individu dalam memperkokoh identitas nasional. Materi disajikan secara interaktif melalui diskusi kelompok, permainan peran, dan presentasi untuk memfasilitasi pemahaman yang mendalam dan penerimaan nilai-nilai kebangsaan secara personal. Selain itu, para guru dilibatkan dalam workshop terpisah yang menitikberatkan pada strategi pengajaran yang mendorong kesadaran kebangsaan di kelas. Mereka dibekali dengan sumber daya dan teknik pengajaran yang dapat mereka aplikasikan dalam kurikulum sehari-hari untuk meningkatkan apresiasi siswa terhadap kekayaan budaya dan sejarah bangsa. Evaluasi terhadap pemahaman peserta dilakukan secara berkala selama sesi penyuluhan untuk memastikan tujuan pendidikan tercapai. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman dan kesadaran siswa serta guru terhadap pentingnya wawasan kebangsaan. Kesimpulannya, kegiatan ini berhasil dalam meningkatkan wawasan kebangsaan di SMA Negeri 1 Singaparna melalui pendekatan penyuluhan yang interaktif dan partisipatif. Upaya semacam ini diharapkan dapat membentuk generasi yang lebih terhubung dengan nilai-nilai kebangsaan, menjaga persatuan, dan menghargai keberagaman dalam konteks globalisasi yang semakin kompleks.

Abstract

This study addresses the challenges and impacts of Regional and Special Autonomy in local governance, with a particular focus on the role of civic education. The central problem is understanding how these autonomy concepts influence local development and citizen participation.The objectives of this research are to analyze how Regional and Special Autonomy affect societal dynamics and local development, and to assess the role of civic education in enhancing the implementation of these concepts. A literature study approach was employed to gain a comprehensive understanding of the issue. The analysis involved reviewing a diverse range of sources, including legal documents, academic journals, and research reports. The study utilized a variety of literature sources relevant to Regional and Special Autonomy and civic education, providing a broad and deep examination of the subject matter.The findings highlight that a thorough understanding of Regional and Special Autonomy is crucial within civic education frameworks. Effective implementation of these autonomy concepts at the local level can foster greater citizen participation in development and decision-making. Additionally, civic education plays a critical role in preparing citizens to understand and engage with their rights and responsibilities, thereby supporting more inclusive and sustainable governance. The study concludes that integrating Regional and Special Autonomy with civic education is essential for enhancing local governance. A better grasp of these concepts, supported by robust civic education, can lead to more democratic, inclusive, and sustainable community development.
