Abstract

Kepiting bakau (Scylla spp.) merupakan komoditas perikanan pesisir bernilai ekonomi tinggi yang berpotensi dikembangkan oleh masyarakat melalui kegiatan budidaya. Salah satu kendala dalam pengembangan budidaya kepiting bakau adalah ketersediaan pakan yang efisien, aplikatif, dan sesuai dengan kondisi mitra. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan POKDARWIS Bagek Kembar dalam pembuatan pakan kepiting bakau berbasis bahan lokal. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Kawasan Ekowisata Bagek Kembar, Desa Cendi Manik, Kecamatan Sekotong, Kabupaten Lombok Barat, melalui tahapan identifikasi awal, survei kebutuhan, penyuluhan, praktik pembuatan pakan, serah terima alat, serta evaluasi pemahaman peserta. Pelatihan diikuti oleh 15 orang peserta dengan rentang usia 20 tahun hingga lebih dari 60 tahun. Materi kegiatan mencakup pengenalan bahan pakan lokal, fungsi bahan pengikat atau binder, stabilitas pakan di dalam air, efisiensi biaya produksi, dan hubungan kualitas pakan dengan kebersihan media budidaya. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta pada seluruh butir pernyataan setelah mengikuti pelatihan. Peserta juga menunjukkan keterlibatan aktif selama penyampaian materi, diskusi, dan praktik pembuatan pakan. Kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap penguatan kapasitas dasar mitra dalam memanfaatkan bahan lokal sebagai alternatif pakan kepiting bakau. Namun, uji performa pakan terhadap pertumbuhan, kelangsungan hidup, efisiensi pakan, dan kualitas air masih perlu dilakukan pada kegiatan lanjutan.

Abstract

Plastic is one of the materials most widely used by humans. The more plastic that is used, the more plastic waste is released into environment and will polute water areas in various sizes, both macroplastics and microplastics. Microplastic are classified as plastic particles whose diameter is less than 5 millimeters. One type of microplastic that has an adverse impact on the life of aquatic organisms is polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The aim of this research was to determine the effect of PVC microplastic exposure on the survival rate and growth performance of tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus. This study was conducted in a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of four treatments with three replications. The treatments were as follows: MP0 = No addition of microplastics (control); MP1 = Addition of 5 mg/L microplastics; MP2 = Addition of 15 mg/L microplastics; MP3 = Addition of 20 mg/L microplastics. The results showed that exposure to polyvinyl chloride microplastics on the survival rate and growth performance of tilapia through water made a real difference to Survival Rate (SR), absolute weight growth, absolute length growth, Specific Growth Rate (SGR), Feed Convension Ratio (FCR) and the abundance of polyvinyl chloride microplastics in fish gut.Keywords:MicroplasticPolyvinyl chlorideTilapiaSurvival rateGrowth performance

Abstract

Fisheries are an important sector in providing animal protein sources and supporting national food security. The success of fish reproduction is a crucial factor that determines the continuity of production and the sustainability of cultivation businesses. Zebrafish (Danio rerio) is a freshwater fish that is often used in biomedical research and reproductive biology due to its fast reproductive cycle, embryo transparency, and ease of maintenance process. The study was conducted for 45 days at Andar Farm Lingsar. The method used was an experimental Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 6 treatments and 3 replications, resulting in 18 experimental units. The treatments tested were a combination of various types of aquatic plants. The parameters measured included fecundity growth, fertilization rate, hatching rate, and gonadosomatic index. Data analysis was performed using ANOVA. If there were significant differences, Duncan's further test was used to identify significantly different treatments. The results showed that in the fecundity parameter, the Water hyacinth + cabomba substrate type produced the highest fecundity (117.6 ± 13.0 grains). In terms of Fertilization Rate (FR) and Hatching Rate (HR), the water hyacinth substrate produced the highest FR (79.96%), and HR (62.47%). Meanwhile, the Gonadosomatic Index (GSI) parameter also produced the highest results in the combination of water hyacinth + cabomba (20.4%). Water quality obtained during the study was within the optimal range with a temperature of 25-26 oC, Ph 7, and 6 mg/L.

Abstract

The adoption of the Internet of Things (IoT) has transformed aquaculture from manual monitoring into data-driven precision management. This study maps the intellectual structure, publication trends, key contributors, and emerging research directions in IoT-based precision aquaculture, spanning sensor-based monitoring to decision support systems. A bibliometric analysis was conducted on 303 Scopus-indexed documents retrieved using a TITLE-ABS-KEY query combining “Internet of Things” and related terms with “aquaculture.” Document screening followed the PRISMA 2020 protocol. Performance analysis and science mapping were performed using VOSviewer through citation-network and keyword co-occurrence analyses. Because data retrieval occurred during the partial publication year 2026, the compound annual growth rate (CAGR = 19.5%) was calculated only for the complete-year period 2020–2025, while 2026 publications were included in citation and mapping analyses. The dataset accumulated 4,791 citations (mean = 15.81 citations per document; h-index = 38). Sensors was the most productive journal, whereas Indonesia and India were the leading publishing countries. Keyword co-occurrence identified five major research themes: sensor-based water-parameter monitoring, environmental quality monitoring, IoT–machine learning integration, smart fish farming, and AI-based decision support. These findings indicate a shift from environmental monitoring toward intelligent, predictive, and decision-oriented aquaculture management.
