Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using podcasts on improving students' listening skills in learning English. Using a quasi-experimental design, two classes were involved, namely the experimental class that received learning through podcasts and the control class that was taught using conventional methods. The research instrument in the form of a multiple-choice test was arranged in the form of a pre-test and post-test to measure students' listening comprehension. The results of the analysis showed that students in the experimental class experienced a more significant increase in listening skills compared to the control class. This finding strengthens the theory of the importance of understandable input and Mayer's theory which emphasizes the combination of audio and verbal stimuli in learning. Podcasts have been shown to provide authentic input that can be accessed again according to the students' learning pace, thereby increasing their motivation, independence, and involvement in the learning process. Thus, podcasts are worthy of being used as an effective alternative learning media to improve listening skills in the context of teaching English as a foreign language.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between students’ learning styles and vocabulary achievement among second-grade students at Public Junior High School of 6 Buton Tengah. Employing a correlational research design, data were collected through a learning style questionnaire (covering visual, auditory, and kinesthetic preferences) and a vocabulary achievement test. The sample consisted of 25 students from Class C. Data analysis was conducted using the Pearson Product-Moment correlation formula. The findings reveal a significant positive correlation between each learning style and vocabulary achievement, with correlation coefficients of r = 0.838 for visual, r = 1.000 for auditory, and r = 0.923 for kinesthetic learning styles. These results indicate that students' preferred learning styles strongly influence their vocabulary mastery. The study highlights the importance for educators to recognize and integrate diverse learning styles in instructional strategies to enhance vocabulary acquisition. Future research is recommended to involve a larger and more diverse sample to generalize findings and explore causal relationships.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the structure of persuasive text and the linguistic characteristics of persuasive text by students of class VIII SMP Negeri 9 Maros. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The focus of this research is the structure of persuasive text and the linguistic characteristics of persuasive text. The research data source is persuasive text by students. The data collection technique was carried out using the mark reading technique and the note taking technique. The instrument of this research is the researcher himself as the main instrument and supporting instruments such as documentation studies in the form of students' persuasive text work. The results of this study prove that, mastery of the structure of persuasive text and the linguistic characteristics of persuasive text is still weak which is characterized by the incomplete structure and lack of linguistic features in the work of persuasive text.

Abstract

Riyanti, Sultan, Zikra Supri, Sahrir, Sofyan Syamsuddin.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsep mana yang terbaik dalam memprediksi arus kas aktivitas operasi dan memberikan bukti empiris mengenai laba kotor, laba operasi, laba bersih dan perubahan piutang dalam memprediksi arus kas untuk aktivitas operasi di masa depan dengan menguji setiap variabel. Objek penelitian adalah perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) dari tahun 2019 sampai dengan tahun 2021. Jenis penelitian merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Sampel ditentukan berdasarkan metode purposive sampling. Data – data diperoleh dari website resmi Bursa Efek Indonesia (www.idx.co.id) dan website resmi tiap perusahaan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis regresi data panel. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perubahan piutang memiliki kemampuan terbaik dibandingkan laba kotor, laba operasi dan laba bersih dalam memprediksi arus kas operasi masa depan. Secara parsial hanya variabelperubahan piutang yang terbukti berpengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel dependen (arus kas operasi).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh citra merek dan bauran pemasaran terhadap keputusan pembelian Sirup Markisa Flora di Kabupaten Gowa. Pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada 50 konsumen di Kecamatan Tombolo Pao. Data dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear berganda melalui SPSS versi 25, dengan uji validitas, reliabilitas, asumsi klasik, dan hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa citra merek berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian (t-hitung = 6,977, p = 0,000 < 0,05), sementara bauran pemasaran tidak berpengaruh signifikan (t-hitung = 0,706, p = 0,484 > 0,05). Secara simultan, kedua variabel berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian (F-hitung = 24,358, p = 0,000 < 0,05), dengan Adjusted R² sebesar 0,488. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa citra merek, seperti keunikan dan kepercayaan konsumen, lebih dominan dibandingkan bauran pemasaran, yang terhambat oleh faktor lokasi. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan UMKM untuk memperkuat citra merek melalui promosi digital dan meningkatkan aksesibilitas produk.

Abstract

The heart is a human organ that has a vital function in the human body. Coronary heart disease can cause the heart's function to decrease, causing blood to flow throughout the body to be disrupted or the heart to fail to distribute blood throughout the body. To find out the relationship between diet and physical activity with coronary heart disease at Labuang Baji Regional Hospital. The research uses quantitative methods using survey methods. The sample from this research was 76 CHD respondents. Sampling uses probability sampling techniques. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis, while data collection used a research measuring tool in the form of a dietary pattern questionnaire with a total of 12 question items. The results obtained for good eating patterns were 65 respondents (85.6%) and bad eating patterns were obtained by 11 respondents (14.4%). Low physical activity was 9 respondents (11.9%), high physical activity was 67 respondents (88.1%). It can be seen that eating patterns and physical activity obtained a value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). Most of the respondents' eating patterns were good (85.6%). Physical activity Most respondents have high physical activity (77.6%). There is a relationship between eating patterns and physical activity for CHD at Labuang Baji Regional Hospital, Makassar (p value = 0.107 < 0.005)

Abstract

As technology and science continue to advance rapidly, it is necessary to update the curriculum and learning methods constantly. This helps to meet the demands of the times and the ever-evolving landscape of science and technology. In Indonesia, the government has implemented an independent curriculum to strengthen character education. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method was used to research and obtain objective and reliable results. The research showed that educational institutions at all levels have implemented the independent curriculum to support national education goals.

Abstract

This Islam has determined that the state is tasked with regulating the entire education system so that it can be accessed and obtained easily by the people. The Qur'an emphasizes the importance of observing and contemplating existing natural phenomena. This research aims to determine the development of educational technology from the perspective of the Qur'an. This research uses the library research method. The technique used in collecting data in this research is by searching for literature in the form of articles or journal publications available via the web (internet) or manually. The development of science and technology has existed since the time of the Prophet, even before the Prophet Muhammad SAW. The Qur'an has discussed and explained knowledge and technology, including surah Al-Baqarah (2): 31, surah At-Taubah (9): 122, surah Al-Mujadilah (58): 11, surah Al-’Alaq (96): 1-5, surah Al-Jatsyiah (45): 13, surah Al-Anbiya (21): 80-81, surah Yasin (36): 41-42, and surah Al-Fiil (105): 1-5.

Abstract

The government is committed to providing education to all parts of the country in order to enhance the quality of education for everyone. The independent curriculum, which focuses on independent learning at independent campuses, aims to improve the quality of learning in educational institutions, particularly vocational education. This approach is based on the students' abilities, thus enabling them to compete globally by providing the skills required in the business and industrial workforce. The Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method was used in this research, which involves a systematic sorting of scientific sources before determining which ones are suitable for the purpose of obtaining more objective and reliable results. The research findings demonstrate that the independent curriculum through independent learning - independent campuses approach can enhance the quality of learning, especially in vocational education institutions, where it is crucial to prepare students for real-life work.

Abstract

The aim of education is to provide an interesting and comfortable atmosphere for students to learn and achieve their goals. It is the duty of an educator to assess and understand the class in order to determine the best method to be used for teaching. The material taught in the class also plays a crucial role in determining the approach to be taken. Based on a systematic literature review (SLR), the problem-based learning model is an effective method for achieving educational goals and improving critical thinking skills in students. This model is also highly recommended for leadership learning in educational institutions because it fosters a sense of independence, democracy, and responsibility by developing students' potential.
