Abstract

The long-term survivability and financial performance of Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia are examined in this study in relation to social capital, financial literacy, and green finance. A quantitative approach that blended structural equation modeling (SEM) and partial least squares (PLS) regression analysis was used to examine survey data collected from a sample of 267 MSMEs. The study found that sustainability, social capital, financial literacy, and green finance are strongly correlated with the financial success of MSMEs. It was shown that MSME performance and sustainability were specifically enhanced by social capital, financial literacy, and green finance. The findings emphasize how important it is to integrate sustainable practices, raise financial literacy, and foster social networks within Indonesia's MSME sector in order to promote inclusive growth and sustainable development

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the economic feasibility of implementing big data technology in strategic decision-making in the financial sector in Indonesia. The research used a survey method of financial institutions such as commercial banks, insurance companies, securities companies, financing institutions, and fintechs. The results showed that 68% of financial institutions have adequate technology readiness, but there are still infrastructure challenges in some areas. The majority of respondents (85%) recognize the great benefits of big data, particularly in improving the effectiveness and speed of decision-making. However, 40% of financial institutions are still concerned about data security and privacy risks, indicating the need for increased investment in cybersecurity. Most respondents (72%) reported a positive impact on profitability and operational efficiency after implementing big data. The study concludes that while the initial cost of implementing this technology is significant, the long-term benefits in terms of improved competitiveness and financial performance of financial institutions are substantial. Therefore, the implementation of big data in the financial sector in Indonesia is considered economically viable, provided it is complemented by a robust risk mitigation strategy and compliance with data protection regulations.

Abstract

Culinary tourism significantly boosts local economies and enriches tourist experiences. This study investigates whether business savings mediate the relationship between financial literacy, profit, and culinary tourism development in Klaten, Central Java, Indonesia. Employing a quantitative approach with a case study design, the research involved 100 culinary business owners as respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews and analyzed using path analysis with SmartPLS 3.0. The findings reveal that financial literacy and profit influence business savings and culinary tourism development. Furthermore, business savings mediate the relationship between financial literacy, profit, and culinary tourism development. Specifically, higher financial literacy and profits lead to increased business savings, which then facilitate investment in infrastructure, innovation, marketing, and employee training, thereby enhancing the overall development of culinary tourism. These results provide a comprehensive understanding of the financial dynamics driving culinary tourism growth in Klaten. The study's implications include recommendations for policymakers, business owners, and financial institutions to design effective strategies and policies that support the sustainable growth of the culinary tourism sector.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on household expenditure, savings, and financial behavior in low- to middle-income households in Indonesia. The research analyzes how the pandemic influenced household financial management, particularly in terms of spending reductions and shifts in saving behaviors. Data were collected from 100 households through structured surveys, and the analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The methodology allowed for both direct and indirect relationships between household expenditure, savings, and the economic shock of COVID-19 to be explored. The results indicate a positive correlation between household expenditure and savings, where higher-income households were able to save more despite greater spending. However, the pandemic negatively impacted both expenditure and savings, with households reducing non-essential spending and relying on their savings due to income uncertainty. Additionally, the pandemic indirectly influenced savings by affecting household expenditure. These findings highlight the financial vulnerability of lower-income households during economic disruptions and underscore the importance of enhancing financial resilience. Policy recommendations include promoting financial literacy, expanding access to financial resources, and providing targeted support to help households navigate future economic crises.

Abstract

Background: Understanding the factors that influence customer purchase decisions is essential in the competitive culinary industry. This study aims to examine the interplay between product quality and service attributes, alongside location, menu variation, and price, in shaping customer behavior at Takashimura Kudus, a local culinary business. Previous studies have highlighted the importance of these factors individually, but their combined effects remain underexplored. Methods: The study employed a quantitative research design, using purposive sampling to collect data from 100 respondents. A structured questionnaire measured consumer perceptions of key variables using a Likert scale. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to identify both individual and collective influences of the factors on purchase decisions. Findings: Results indicate that menu variation is the only variable with a positive and significant individual effect on purchase decisions, while location, product quality, service quality, and price do not show significant individual effects. However, these factors collectively influence purchase decisions significantly. This suggests that businesses must adopt a comprehensive strategy that integrates these elements to meet consumer expectations effectively. Conclusion: The study highlights the critical role of menu diversity as a driver of consumer behavior and the need for businesses to address multiple factors simultaneously to remain competitive. Novelty/Originality of Article: This research provides a novel perspective by analyzing the combined effects of product quality, service attributes, and other factors, emphasizing their collective significance in the context of small-scale culinary enterprises.
