Abstract

This research aims at examining the difference of aggressiveness in students Senior High School of First Muhammedan (SMU MUHI) Yogyakarta from parent?s rearings and parent?s jobs. It based on phenomenons, such  increase of fights along students, behaviors of students less polite to teachers, and others, especially that occurs in Yogyakarta. It indicated of aggressive behaviour. It may be caused of not right of parent?s rearings, and parent?s rearings has correlation with parent?s jobs. From these phenomenons, reseacher want to investigated about difference of aggressiveness in students Senior High School of First Muhammedan from parent?s rearings (authoritarian, democratic, and permissive) and from parent?s jobs (entrepreneur, official civil servant/PNS, and military) point of view to aggressiveness. Two hypotheses tested are as follows: (a) that there is a difference of agressiveness in students Senior High School of First Muhammedan (SMU MUHI) have parents tendency to authoritatif, democratic, and permissive, and b) that there is a difference of agressiveness in students Senior High School of First Muhammedan (SMU MUHI) have parents as entrepreneur, official civil servant, and military. Subjects of the research include seventy six students of first class and sixty seven students of second class in Senior High School of First Muhammedan (SMU MUHI), Yogyakarta and their parents, totally is one hundred and sixty person. The two instruments administered in data gathering (quantitative data) include parent?s rearings scale for students? parent (within there was a identity of parent?s job), agressiveness scale for students, and interview (qualitative data). Variance analysis 2-stripes (Anava 2-jalur) were applied to analyze the data. The outcome shows the following: (a) there is a significant difference of three parent?s rearings to bring about aggressiveness with F=366.479, standar error p=0.000, and difference average is: authoritarian=69.344; democratic=79.283; permissive=87.862. (b) there is not a significant difference of three parent?s jobs to bring about aggressiveness with F=0.054, standar error p=0.583, and difference  average is: entrepreneur=77.632; official civil servant=76.436; military=76.960. From the result of parent?s rearings appeared that permissive is the most influential from all (authoritarian and democratic) to bring about aggressiveness in students of Senior High School of First Muhhammedan, Yogyakarta, and parent?s rearings hasn?t influence to bring about children?s aggressiveness.

Abstract

Scientific attitude in Islamic education learning is a demand in the newest curriculum. Psychological factors that determine it is self-efficacy and social support. This study aims to examine correlation between self-efficacy and social support with students' scientific attitudes in Islamic education learning, partially and simultaneously. Subjects were 152 Madrasa Ibtidaiyah students. Instruments used are scientific attitude, self-efficacy, and social support scales. Data analysis techniques used regression analysis. Results showed that there’s a significant positive correlation between self-efficacy and students’ scientific attitude in Islamic education learning with r=0.367 and p=0.000 (p<0.05). There’s a significant positive correlation between social support and scientific attitude in Islamic education learning with r=0.381 and p=0.000 (p<0.05). There’s a positive and significant correlation between self-efficacy and social support simultaneously with scientific attitude in Islamic education learning with F=18.222 and p=0.000 (p<0.05).

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explain the model of the pre-culture that is carried out by Sunan Gunung Jati. This type of research is library research (library research). The main data sources of this study are books, journals, and other works as the main literature. Data analysis techniques use content analysis techniques by conducting source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. From the results of the study, it was concluded that the cultural propaganda model of Sunan Gunung Jati in the dissemination of Islamic teachings through petitah-petitih, authority, and ipat-ipit and magersari. The relevance of advice in petitih petitih and authority and ipat ipit is to facilitate the teachings of Islam following the cultural understanding of the community. While magersari is an implementation of the value of Islamic teachings in social interaction or muamalah.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has made humans adjust their behavior, especially in the world of education. Changes in learning activities from a face-to-face system to an online system, have a huge impact on students' psychology, especially on interest in learning. This mentoring activity was carried out through school student social media groups. The purpose of this assistance is to increase students' motivation and interest in learning which is decreasing using comics media. Through this activity, students' interest in learning and awareness of implementing health protocols has increased. Improvements in each disciplinary indicator in health protocols and interest in learning are as follows. First, disciplinary changes in health protocols with indicators using masks increased by 17%, washing hands increased by 9%, and social distancing increased by 20%. Second, the increase in motivation and interest in learning changes in the indicators, namely managing time increases by 30%, getting used to independent learning increases by 20%, and completion of tasks from teachers increases by 30%.

Abstract

The alarming phenomenon of the current state of society has made experts realize that a person's success in life is not only determined by intellectual and emotional intelligence but also by spiritual Intelligence. Spiritual Intelligence refers to the Intelligence of the heart. In terms of the education of the heart, the Sufi sheikh has set an example by way of the tarekat, each of which has a different path. Therefore, this study tries to answer the problem by knowing how the Naqsyabandiyah tarekat model and its influence on spiritual Intelligence in Surau Nurul Amin, Boyolali Regency. This research is qualitative. The primary source of data is the Naqshbandiyah congregation builder and congregation. Data were collected by observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Test the validity of the data using source triangulation. The results showed: (1) The model of the Naqsyabandiyah tarekat in Surau Nurul Amin Boyolali were: Strategy through Dhikr, to foster calm; Method through Suluk, to practice honesty and discipline of the soul; and the techniques used are ubudiyah, alms, pilgrimage. (2) The development of the Naqsyabandiyah congregation in Surau Nurul Amin Boyolali influences spiritual Intelligence. Its influence is seen in the spiritual intelligence aspect of the tarekat congregation. The influence felt by each congregation is different; this is because it is routine or not in the practice of tarekat training. Some experienced a significant change in spiritual Intelligence; others experienced an increase in spiritual Intelligence.

Abstract

Personality is a silent sedentary nature, which affects the attitudes and behavior of every individual. For a teacher, personality will appear as a hidden curriculum, which affects how to teach and educate. This phenomenological research aimed to interpret the characteristics of effective teachers’ personality in strengthening character education. The participants in this study were 17 elementary, secondary, and high school teachers from nine districts in Indonesia. This participant was selected using purposive sampling technique (teachers who have more than 10 years of teaching experience). Data collection was carried out by interview. Qualitative data analysis was performed using the ATLAS.ti software. The data analysis stages in this study were data coding, data classification, and data interpretation. This study found 12 personality characteristics of teachers that are effective in strengthening character education, include able to behave as friends, able to be roles model, able to understand lessons, discipline, respectful of students, treat students impartially in terms of sanctions, patient, relaxed, willing to pursue life-long learning, master the skill of educating character, not known as fierce teachers, and perceived as joyful teachers. The effective teacher personality can provide understanding and improvement of character education in schools.

Abstract

Character education is also important given to autistic children. This phenomenological research aims to reveal the teacher's experience in teaching character education for autistic children. The participants in this research were 10 teachers from three exceptional schools consisting of public and private exceptional schools. In-depth interview method as a data collection technique. Data analysis using semantic reduction is carried out by the stages of identifying important statements from the results of the interview, determining the theme of the discussion, and describing the significance of the whole the teacher's experience. The results found that character learning for autistic children through three models, namely explanatory, practice, and intensive mentoring. The explanatory model is used to practice the ability of autistic children in terms of building children's concentration and focus. The practice model is used to train autistic children soft skills in terms of strengthening the understanding of the material and its reasoning ability. While the intensive mentoring model for training soft skills autistic children related to the ability of interpersonal relationships and confidence. Therefore, the inclusion of teacher competencies must at a minimum include pedagogical, personal, and social abilities to teach character education for autistic children.

Abstract

The effects of the pandemic in the world of education have as many influences as the adjustment of learning models. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of blended learning as an alternative to online education in the new normal era. This was an experimental study with a one-shot case study design conducted in several public high schools in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The respondents involved in this study were 70 teachers who were determined using a simple random sampling technique. The data was collected by using a questionnaire. Multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the effect of the effectiveness of the application of the blended learning model during the COVID-19 pandemic. The results showed that the effectiveness of educational programs after using blended learning is 95.05%, much higher than the effectiveness of educational programs before using blended learning with a score of 73.24%. The blended learning model affects the effectiveness of learning during the COVID-19 pandemic by 85.20%. Learning during the COVID-19 pandemic that implements the blended learning model will run more effectively and more successfully. Schools need to apply the blended learning model because the use of this method is effective, efficient, and more successful in the new normal era.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan relevansi konsep petatah petitih/nasehat sunan gunung jati dengan nilai–nilai pendidikan islam. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kepustakaan (library research). Sumber data utama dari penelitian ini adalah prasasti, buku, jurnal dan karya lainnya. Sumber sekunder didapatkan dari informan melalui wawancara. Teknik Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis konten (content analysis) dengan melakukan kritik sumber, interpretasi dan histroriografi. Dari hasil penelitian, ditarik kesimpulan bahwa metode Sunan Gunung Jati dalam pendidikan agama melalui konsep petatah-petitih. Relevansi petatah petitih dengan pendidikan islam adalah adanya keseimbangan nilai Tauhid dan kemanusiaan (tajug dan fakir miskin), shalat adalah tiang agama (yen sembahyang kungsi pucuke panah, puasa mendidik untuk sabar, jujur dan mengendalikan hawa nafsu (yen puasa den kungsi tetaling gundewa), konsisten dalam ibadah (Ibadah kang tetap), takut larangan Allah (Wedi ing Allah), mensyukuri nikmat yang diberikan (Manah den syukur lan Allah), dan selalu meminta ampunan (Kudu ngakehaken pertobat). Abstract

The phenomenon of the development of the veil in Indonesia, especially among higher education has become a concern lately. This is due to the view of the public about the relationship between the use of the veil with the influence of certain ideologies. This research aims to determine the reasons and motivations for the use of the veil among female students, perceptions received in the surrounding environment, and obstacles encountered. This research uses a phenomenological approach as part of qualitative research. Participants in this research were 12 female students from private universities in Yogyakarta. The method of in-depth interviews using interview guide instruments becomes a technique in collecting data. Data analysis using semantic reduction is done by identifying important statements from the results of the interview, determining the theme of the discussion, and describing the significance of the whole experience of veiled students. The results showed that there were five main themes in the use of the veil in higher education, namely the average age of female students who used veil, motivation and reasons for using a veil, perceptions from within themselves and their environment, constraints encountered, and consistency in wearing a veil. Some of the findings obtained are certainly new references that need to be further developed. Therefore, knowledge about Islamophobia especially the perception of the phenomenon of the veil is important for educational institutions in determining policy and for the community to be a reference in dealing with the phenomenon.
