Abstract

The ability of students to read the Qur'an is very diverse. Some students have been able to read well; others have not. This study aims to describe the implementation of learning al-Qur'ān in the tahsin program for students of Islamic education at Ahmad Dahlan University, Yogyakarta. This research uses qualitative research with a descriptive analysis approach. The research subjects were students and ustadz teaching the Tahsin program, which opened 20 people. The data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis used data reduction procedures, data presentation and data interpretation. The results of this study indicate three essential findings in the form of the program implementation process, the method of implementing the Tahsin program, and the obstacles faced in the implementation of the Tahsin program. The performance of the Tahsin program begins with the selection of ustadz who have the competence to teach Tahsin, followed by program implementation, guidance and examinations. The Tahsin method most widely used by Ustadz teaching is Semaan, Sorogan, classical and Private. Obstacles in the performance of the Tahsin program are classified on internal factors in the form of students' essential ability to recite the Koran, motivation and seriousness of reading the Koran. The hectic external schedule of lectures, the presence of students and the condition of the pandemic cannot all be done directly by learning

Abstract

Pesantren prioritizes spiritual improvement and good character for students based on the five souls (panca jiwa). When the soul or mind is stable, it can automatically reveal good character and qualities. The value of the five souls is a combination of various crystallizations of pesantren values, which must be integrated and taught in all santri (Islamic Students) activities. Five souls are enthusiastically assimilated in doing all activities to awaken other positive characters. The discussion aims to find out the form of internalization of character education based on the five souls at the Tahfizul Quran Boarding School in West Sumatra. This research approach is the descriptive-qualitative approach. The discussion results showed that the five young souls are honest, independent, brotherly, and free spirits to prepare the concluding virtuous, noble, and meaningful individuals in better directions in life. Values were instilled by the following methods: the exemplary method, the habitual method, giving advice, methods of motivation and threats, methods of persuasion, and the story method. Supporting factors for implementing character education have good management performance, the active role of the kiai as the pesantren leader and the ustaz with high discipline. The obstacles are students' lack of awareness and willingness to follow the pesantren education system, the difficulty of adjusting to pesantren activities, and not all students being able to comply.

Abstract

This study aims to increase motivation in memorizing the Qur'an by using the hand gesture method on Al-Qur'an material in VA class students at SD Muhammadiyah Karangakjen Yogyakarta. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of this study were 11 students in class VA at SD Muhammadiyah Karangkajen. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and oral tests. Data were analyzed qualitatively through reduction, presentation and interpretation of data. Quantitative analysis through descriptive statistical analysis is presented in tabular form. The results showed that there was an increase in students' learning motivation, namely at the action stage 80% of their learning motivation had reached the high category with a score between 25-30. The use of the hand gesture method is known to increase motivation to memorize the Koran in VA class students at SD Muhammadiyah Karangkajen. From this study it can be concluded that there is a significant and positive influence between the use of hand gestures on students' learning motivation in elementary schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explain the model of the pre-culture that is carried out by Sunan Gunung Jati. This type of research is library research (library research). The main data sources of this study are books, journals, and other works as the main literature. Data analysis techniques use content analysis techniques by conducting source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. From the results of the study, it was concluded that the cultural propaganda model of Sunan Gunung Jati in the dissemination of Islamic teachings through petitah-petitih, authority, and ipat-ipit and magersari. The relevance of advice in petitih petitih and authority and ipat ipit is to facilitate the teachings of Islam following the cultural understanding of the community. While magersari is an implementation of the value of Islamic teachings in social interaction or muamalah.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a wide impact on all walks of life. One of the effects that is very pronounced is the social aspect. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of learning loss on psychosocial students during and after the pandemic. The research method used is a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. The participants in this study were students from three Islamic universities in Yogyakarta, totaling 15 people. The selection of participants was based on criteria that had been determined purposively, namely from Islamic colleges, experienced social problems in particular and data could be taken. The data collection technique used in-depth interviews in accordance with the interview instrument guidelines that had been made. The data analysis technique went through three stages, namely reduction, data presentation and data interpretation to draw conclusions. The research findings lead to three conclusions. First, the impact of the pandemic is the loss of enthusiasm for learning or learning loss. Second, socially, the impact of the pandemic causes psychosocial problems, namely they tend to be aloof or introverted. Third, after the pandemic, most of the students are already comfortable with their conditions during the pandemic, so they experience laziness and boredom to carry out activities directly. The results of this study still have many weaknesses, especially in the selection of respondents who are still limited and data mining and analysis. Subsequent research will be urgently needed to provide more comprehensive reinforcement and additional results.

Abstract

This study delves into the effective strategies employed in Islamic religious education to illuminate the nexus between instructional approaches and subject matter alignment. Utilizing a qualitative research methodology with a phenomenological orientation, the investigation involved fifteen high school Islamic religious education teachers. Participants were selected using a purposive technique, focusing on eligibility criteria specific to Islamic religious education instructors. Data collection took place through structured interviews with an interview protocol, followed by analysis stages encompassing data collection, reduction, and interpretation. The results discern five overarching themes elucidating the strategies employed in teaching Islamic religious education. Firstly, three schools integrated experiential learning into their pedagogical approach, intertwining it with discussion strategies. Secondly, the application of experiential learning strategies is more straightforward with less intricate subject matter. Thirdly, addressing complex topics necessitates teachers to demonstrate competencies across pedagogical, personal, professional, and social dimensions. Fourthly, not all students readily engage in experiential learning due to unfamiliarity with articulating personal experiences as educational content. Lastly, the study advocates for incorporating advanced methods to tackle complex subject matter. These findings offer a foundational reference for future research endeavors, acknowledging the study's limitations and the recommendations proposed.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education is not only lessons in school courses but also can be available anywhere to anyone, like in the neighborhood and society. Islamic Religious Education is also possibly got from various activities that are non-formal, such as activities in everyday life, art, recitation, and others. It includes kubro siswo as an Islamic teaching based art performance. This study discusses Islamic religious education values embedded in the dance using qualitative research type with an ethnography approach. Primary and secondary data sources needed are three people from elders of kubro sisqoand three members or art performer selected using purposive sampling technique among thsose in Surowangsan Hamlet, Margorejo, Tempel, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Technique data collection was interviews and observations. In studying this, we used a triangulation source to check the data obtained from different sources. Data analysis techniques were carried out through data reduction, data display, data verification, and interpretation making on the meaning and theme. The study found two central values central within the performance, namely aqeedah (faith) and morals which are then divided to several session of life passages starting from being children until dying. Rodat anak-anak session contains moral and educational values, young rodat session is all about moral and ethic, setrat session includes values for work ethic and worship for preparing life in hereafter, ontan-ontan has order to do pilgrimage and do good deeds to others, while mayit-mayitan session contains values of causality or cause and effect. ( Pendidikan Agama Islam tidak hanya menjadi mata pelajaran yang terdapat di sekolah saja, tetapi juga bisa didapatkan di mana saja dan oleh siapa saja, seperti halnya dalam lingkungan masyarakat. Pendidikan Agama Islam juga bisa didapatkan dari berbagai kegiatan yang sifatnya non formal, seperti pada kegiatan sehari-hari, kesenian, pengajian, dan lain-lain. Termasuk pada kesenian tarian kubro siswo yang merupakan kesenian berlandaskan nilai-nilai ajaran Islam. Penelitian ini akan mengkaji nilai-nilai pendidikan agama Islam yang terkandung dalam tarian kobro siswo. Jenis penelitian ini ialah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Sumber data primer dan sekunder yang dibutuhkan ialah 3 orang dari sesepuh kesenian kubro siswo dan 3 anggota atau pelaku seni dengan menggunakan teknik pemilihan subjek purposeful sampling di Dusun Surowangsan, Margorejo, Tempel, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Teknik pengambilan data adalah wawancara dan observasi. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan triangulasi sumber, dengan memeriksa data yang diperoleh dari sumber yang berbeda. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, display data, verifikasi data, serta interpretasi dan makna tema. Hasil analisis menemukan dua nilai utama dalam tarian kobro siswo yakni nilai aqidah dan nilai akhlak. Pertunjukan kesenian kobro siswo terbagi menjadi beberapa sesi pementasan yang antara lain menceritakan kehidupan manusia mulai dari anak-anak hingga meninggal. Sesi rodat anak-anak mengandung nilai moral dan pendidikan. Sesi rodat muda mengandung ajaran soal akhlak. Sesi setrat mengandung nilai untuk bekerja dan beribadah sebagai bekal di akhirat. Sesi ontan-ontan mengandung nilai perintah berhaji dan kebaikan lainnya, sementara mayit-mayitan mengandung nilai sebab akibat.)

Abstract

Moral material becomes an essential thing in education. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the education sector changed policy. Every teacher must determine learning strategies following existing conditions, especially moral teachers who must use the right approach to transfer knowledge and instill morals in students optimally. This research was conducted to describe the learning strategies applied by the moral teachers of Madrasah Mu'allimaat Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta and the accompanying constraints. The type of research used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. This study used respondents consisting of seven people as informants, namely two moral teachers, the deputy director of the curriculum section, and four students of Madrasah Mu'allimaat Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Then, interviews and documentations were data collection techniques used by researchers—analysis of data processing using data reduction procedures, data presentation and conclusion. Based on the research results obtained, the learning strategy used by the moral teachers at Mu'allimaat Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta during the Covid-19 pandemic was expository and active learning. As for the obstacles faced, namely the limitations of space, time (class hours), resources (network and IT devices), and the need for more motivation of the students. Even though there were several obstacles, they could be handled/appropriately resolved. This research has limitations, including the difficulty of arranging interview schedules because it is hindered by semester holidays and the school is busy accepting new students. The recommendation from this study is that teachers must be more able to manage classes optimally, especially by using suitable approaches and strategies. With this research, it is hoped that it can become a reference and reference for further similar research.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between online game addiction and parents' educational background with interest in learning Islamic religious education in students of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Sleman. Religious education is the primary education that is mandatory for children. On the other hand, the current globalization in the world of technology, especially online games, which spreads among children and adolescents, is one of society's problems. The dependence on playing online games, one of the impacts is the existence of problems in psychological aspects, one of which is decreased interest in learning, especially in the field of Islamic education. Meanwhile, one of PAI education roles is as a filter to form a sound generation in people's lives. The problem phenomenon above becomes the problem formulation that will be studied in this study related to how the relationship between online games and the educational background of parents with interest in learning Islamic education in children of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Sleman. There are two variables to be studied: the independent variable addiction to online games and parents' educational background. The dependent variable is the interest in learning Islamic education. The analysis technique used to determine the relationship between the variables of online game addiction and the parents' background with the student's PAI learning interest variable used the product-moment correlation technique with SPSS software version 23. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be seen that the significance is more than 0.05, namely 0.850. Meanwhile, according to r table, the value of 0.05 is 0.2787. This means that there is a relationship between student interest in learning and addiction to online games. The higher the addiction to online games, the lower the interest in learning PAI. The result of the relationship coefficient or r count is 0.028, indicating a small or weak contribution from online game addiction to interest in learning, namely 28 percent.
