Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the moral values contained in Budi Pekerti film by Wregas Bhanuteja and explore its relevance in literature learning at junior high school level. This research uses a qualitative approach with the method of literary sociology, which views literary works as a reflection of social reality. The data used are transcripts of dialogue in the Budi Pekerti film obtained through listening techniques and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model which includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that Budi Pekerti movie contains ten main moral values, namely respect, responsibility, honesty, wisdom, self-discipline, helping, caring for others, cooperation, courage, and democracy. These values are not only moral messages for the audience, but also have relevance to literature learning in junior high schools, especially in the Learning Objective Path (ATP) of phase D of the Indonesian Language Merdeka Curriculum which emphasizes listening, reading, and viewing. Thus, movies can be used as an effective learning medium in instilling moral values and shaping student character.

Abstract

This study critically analyzes the readiness of pre-service teachers to integrate Bengkulu ethnopedagogy into modern classroom settings. Using a mixed-methods approach, data were collected from 150 pre-service teachers at several universities in Bengkulu through a readiness scale survey and semi-structured interviews. This study employs a mixed-methods approach by collecting data from 150 pre-service teachers in Bengkulu through readiness scale surveys and semi-structured interviews, which were subsequently analyzed using descriptive-ANOVA anlysis and thematic analysis. The findings reveal a significant gap: while pre-service teachers possess high affective readiness (valuing local culture), their pedagogical readiness specifically in transforming indigenous knowledge into structured lesson plans remains moderate to low. Key barriers identified include the lack of standardized ethnopedagogical teaching materials and a perceived tension between traditional values and global 21st-century skill requirements. This research suggests that teacher education programs must move beyond theoretical appreciation and provide practical frameworks for "indigenizing" the curriculum. Reinvigorating local wisdom is not merely a nostalgic endeavor but a strategic necessity to foster students' cultural identity amidst global modernization.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze religiosity in the drama script Sketsa-Sketsa di Kebun Warisan by Rachmat Hidayat Mustamin using a sociology of literature approach. Religiosity is understood as a multidimensional phenomenon that is not limited to religious beliefs and practices, but also includes inner experiences, value-based knowledge, and the behavioral implications of characters within a social context. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data sources consisting of dialogues and narrative elements in the drama script. Data were collected through library research using reading and note-taking techniques, while data analysis was conducted through content analysis based on five dimensions of religiosity, namely belief, religious practice, religious feelings, religious knowledge, and religious effects. The results show that religiosity in the drama script Sketsa-Sketsa di Kebun Warisan is represented holistically and contextually through all five dimensions. Religious feelings emerge as the most dominant dimension, followed by belief and religious effects, while religious practice and religious knowledge appear implicitly. The characters’ religiosity is not presented in a normative-dogmatic manner, but rather as an existential response to agrarian conflict, structural pressure, and social trauma. These findings indicate that religiosity in the drama functions as a source of meaning, moral resilience, and social awareness. This study contributes theoretically to the field of religious literary studies by offering a contextual and multidimensional analysis, and practically by providing insights that can be utilized as teaching material for literature learning oriented toward value formation and social understanding.
