Abstract

Beberapa permasalahan yang dihadapi siswa dalam memahami dan guru dalam mengajarkan pelajaran matematika materi kekongruenan dan kesebangunan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk memperoleh media video pembelajaran menggunakan eksplorasi motif lukisan gorga suku batak toba pada materi kekongruenan  dan materi kesebangunan yang valid, praktis, efektif. Penelitian menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Hasil penelitian diperoleh dari validasi media video pembelajaran skoring kelayakan bernilai 4,1;  kepraktisan bernilai 84,6 berarti “setuju” dengan pengembangan media video pembelajaran menggunakan eksplorasi motif lukisan gorga suku batak toba pada materi kekongruenan dan kesebangunan; efektif digunakan dimana keefektifan ini berdasarkan proses pembelajaran yang telah dilaksanakan dapat berjalan dengan efektif, dimana respon siswa positif, serta aktivitas siswa selama pembelajaran efektif, dan hasil nilai tes belajar siswa memenuhi batas ketuntasan di kelas. Melalui media video pembelajaran menggunakan eksplorasi motif lukisan gorga suku batak toba pada materi kekongruenan  dan materi kesebangunan siswa lebih memahami materi matematika dan mendapatkan nuansa baru serta guru lebih mudah menerangkan materi matematika.

Abstract

Pendekatan RME di Indonesia yang dikenal dengan pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI) adalah matematika sekolah yang dilaksanakan dengan menempatkan realitas dan pengalaman siswa sebagai titik awal pembelajaran Matematika atau pengetahuan matematika formal sehingga siswa mempunyai kesempatan untuk menemukan kembali konsep-konsep matematika atau pengetahuan matematika formal, selanjutnya siswa diberikan kesempatan mengaplikasikan konsep-konsep matematika untuk memecahkan masalah sehari-hari. Hasil belajar pada hakekatnya adalah perubahan tingkah laku seseorang yang mencakup kemampuan kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor setelah mengikuti suatu proses belajar mengajar tertentu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA yang terdiri dari 220 orang.Teknik sampling yaitu simple random sampling dengan taraf signifikansi 5%sehingga jumlah sampel adalah 142 orang. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan uji keberartian koefisien korelasi di peroleh thitung < ttabel atau 1,29< 1,74 yang artinya tidak ada pengaruh yang kuat antara pendekatan PMRI terhadap hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

This article discusses the comparison of trends in mathematics education research in Indonesia and Australia. There are significant differences in research approaches, research focuses, and issues addressed in both countries. Mathematics education research in Indonesia often focuses on improving teacher capabilities, the use of technology in mathematics learning, and the influence of teaching approaches on mathematics learning outcomes. In Australia, research also involves studying mathematics curriculum, effective teaching strategies, inclusion issues in mathematics learning, and the use of technology in teaching. The research approaches also differ, with Indonesia tending to use quantitative approaches and Australia using both quantitative and qualitative approaches. This article provides valuable insights for the development of mathematics education in both countries. By learning from and sharing experiences with each other, both countries can leverage their strengths to enhance the quality of mathematics education at the national level.

Abstract

The development of Technology and Information is running so rapidly. The technology is not only intended to facilitate human work but also intended to facilitate humans in teaching and learning.  One technology that is widely used to help facilitate human work, especially in the field of statistics, is the SPSS (statistical program for social science) application.  The use of this application in learning statistics courses is absolutely necessary to help make it easier for students to process data at the time of completing the final project. This study is an experimental study with a population of all students who contract statistics courses. Based on the results of the data analysis conducted, the numbers 2,98 > 1,97 were obtained (the t-count value is greater than the t-table value).  Based on the results of the analysis, the hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the hypothesis (Ho) is rejected.  Because the t-count value is greater than the t-table, the results of this study can be concluded that there is an influence on utilizing the SPSS application on improving students' skills in processing statistical data.

Abstract

The Problem Based Instruction (PBI) learning model is a learning approach that uses real world problems as a context for students to learn how to think critically, problem solving skills, and to gain essential knowledge and concepts from the subject matter. This model is based on constructivist understanding and was developed to help students develop various skills. Mathematical problem solving ability is a component of ability that students must have in learning mathematics. One effort to address the problem of mathematical problem solving ability is through selecting a learning model. The Problem Based Instruction (PBI) model is a learning model that is based on many problems that require real investigation of real problems. This research aims to investigate differences in mathematical problem solving abilities between students who take part in learning using the Problem Based Instruction (PBI) model in junior high school students. This research is a Quasy Experimental research. Data analysis was carried out using the t-test for hypotheses 2 and 4, the t-test for hypothesis 1 and the Mann Whitney U test for hypothesis 3. The hypothesis results show that for the first hypothesis the tcount is more than ttable, for the second hypothesis the tcount is more than ttable, and for the third hypothesis, tcount is less than ttable, and for the fourth hypothesis, tcount is more than ttable. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that overall there is a difference in mathematical problem solving abilities between students who take part in learning using the Problem Based Instruction (PBI) model and students who take part in conventional learning among junior high school students. The results of this research can be used to improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities.

Abstract

This research aims to provide a new innovation in mathematics learning, because based on the results interviews, researchers found that mathematics learning is less innovative, learning strategies are still monotonous and learning methods are less interesting so that students' cognitive growth is not optimal. The Sudoku game is a logic-based puzzle game that can improve junior high school students' cognitive abilities in a mathematics learning environment. Sudoku trains the student's mind to absorb several strategies and pieces of information in a short time. Apart from that, this game can also help improve students' memory and concentration. Sudoku can be used as a game choice that can increase students' concentration in learning mathematics.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how effective the procurement of BOS goods in the private SMP of BNKP Luzamanu, find obstacles, and solutions in the provision. The type of research used is a qualitative descriptive type and supported by secondary data. The technique used is a triangulation method that compares information or data in different ways. The subjects used in this study are the Boss Treasury, the School Operator, the Head of the School, and reinforced with documents in the implementation of the acquisition. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the use of SIP applications is very effective in the procurement of BOS goods in the private SMP of BNKP Luzamanu. Some obstacles were found in the implementation of this acquisition, problems arose on resources, adaptation, and price comparison. But that does not make it a fatal thing, because it can be overcome with the help of various parties.

Abstract

Geogebra is one of the applicative software that can be used as a learning medium for mathematics in the 4.0 era. This application can help teachers in creating learning media especially in the geometry material as well as geogebra can facilitate mathematical teacher in making graphical illustrations and geometric designs so that it is expected to arouse the spirit of students in learning math. The method used in this research is a literature review. The purpose of this research is (1) to explain the definition of geogebra; (2) to demonstrate the use of Geogebra as a learning medium in improving the ability of teachers in teaching mathematics in the era 4.0. The result of this study is that geogebra is a dynamic and interactive program that allows for a lot of exploration of a mathematical concept especially on the material of geometry transformation.

Abstract

The goals of this study are to (1) explain the trend of mathematics education research in Indonesia; (2) explain the trend of mathematics education research in Finland; and (3) compare research trends in mathematics education in Indonesia and Finland. The approach employed is a literature review, with the literature sources reviewed being journal articles, proceeding papers, books, and other publications linked to the trend of mathematics education research in Indonesia and Finland from 2019 to 2023 using the PoP (Publish or Perish) 8th edition. According to the findings of this study, the trend of educational research in Indonesia and Finland is dominated by educational research utilizing technology in mathematics learning.

Abstract

Matematika merupakan mata pelajaran penting yang penerapannya banyak digunakan dalam kehidupan. Namun, banyak siswa yang mengalami kesulitan belajar matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam teori sosiokultural Lev Vygotsky serta implikasinya terhadap pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur. Sumber data berasal dari buku, jurnal, dan hasil penelitian yang berkaitan dengan masalah penelitian. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pencarian online. Analisis data dilakukan melalui content analysis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa menurut teori sosiokultural Vygotsky merekomendasikan pembelajaran matematika kooperatif dan kolaboratif serta mengoptimalkan adanya scaffolding dan interaksi sosial dalam pembelajaran. Selanjutnya, pembelajaran matematika yang direkomendasikan adalah pembelajaran yang kooperatif, berpusat pada siswa dan aktif, seperti metode pembelajaran penemuan dan kontekstual.Kata-kata Kunci: Teori Perkembangan Sosiokultural Vygotsky, Pembelajaran Matematika, Kajian Literatur
