Abstract

Indonesia's rich diversity encompasses various ethnicities, cultures, and religions, with deeply ingrained marriage customs such as the Sasak tradition of Merariq, which reflects a delicate balance between Islamic law and socio-cultural dynamics while facing challenges of persistence and extinction in modern times. This study aims to provide an overview of how local wisdom can be explored from various perspectives, particularly within the framework of Islamic law and the socio-cultural dynamics prevalent in Sasak society. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive analysis method. The research involves data collection through observations in Terong Tawah Village, West Lombok, and interviews with various key figures, including youth leaders, customary leaders, religious leaders, and community members. Additionally, documentation related to the implementation of the Merariq tradition in Terong Tawah Village was conducted to ensure the validity of the obtained data. The research findings elucidate that the Merariq tradition still holds cultural significance but has been simplified to align with Islamic teachings. This tradition involves stages such as midang, memaling, nyelabar, akad nikah, sorong serah, begawe, and bejango or nyongkolan. Implementing the Sasak customary wedding ceremony or Merariq must be harmonized with Islamic understanding to ensure compliance with Islamic principles.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effect of Non-Performing Loan and Operational Costs on the liquidity of conventional People's Credit Banks in Sidoarjo, Indonesia. The study used a quantitative research method with a multiple regression analysis processed using SPSS version 23. The sample consisted of 35 People's Credit Banks out of 59 registered in the Otoritas Jasa Keuangan during the 2020 period. The results showed that Non-Performing Loan and Operational Costs did not have a partial effect on liquidity, but they had a simultaneous effect on liquidity. Highlights: The study focuses on the impact of Non-Performing Loan and Operational Costs on liquidity in People's Credit Banks in Sidoarjo, Indonesia. Quantitative research method and multiple regression analysis using SPSS version 23 were employed for data analysis. Findings indicate a simultaneous effect of Non-Performing Loan and Operational Costs on liquidity in these banks. Abstract

This research aims to investigate the effect of utilizing the SMAS Nurul Amaliyah Tj school library collection. Morawa through a Resource-Based Learning (RBL) approach to student learning at the upper secondary education level. Qualitative research methods were used, involving observation, interviews and document analysis as data collection techniques. Research participants consisted of students and library staff who were selected purposively. The research results show that students actively use a variety of library resources, both print and digital, to support their learning. There are varying usage dynamics, reflecting different preferences and learning styles among students. Students' experiences and perceptions highlight the benefits of easy access to information and support in the development of information literacy skills. The role of library staff is also recognized as an important factor in facilitating the use of library collections by students. Practical implications of this research include increasing the accessibility and diversity of library collections, as well as increasing the role of library staff in supporting resource use. This research provides an in-depth understanding of the relationship between the use of library collections and student learning at SMAS Nurul Amaliyah Tj. Morawa, as well as highlighting the importance of the RBL approach in maximizing the benefits of library resources in an educational context.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the policies of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) in combating narcotics crimes (study at Polrestabes Medan). Medan City is one of the areas most affected by narcotics trafficking, both from local syndicates and international networks. Polri policies include law enforcement, prevention through education and socialization, and rehabilitation for narcotics users. Based on this, the focus of the problems in this study are First, how is the Polri policy in combating narcotics crimes (Study at Polrestabes Medan) Second, What are the obstacles faced by Polri in combating narcotics crimes (Study at Polrestabes Medan). This study uses normative-empirical juridical research with descriptive data analysis. The results of the study show that although Polri has carried out various significant law enforcement operations and prevention programs, challenges such as the involvement of certain officers, high demand for narcotics among the community, limited rehabilitation facilities, and the complexity of international narcotics networks are still major obstacles. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve internal supervision, increase international cooperation, and increase the capacity of community-based rehabilitation and prevention programs.

Abstract

This article aims to handle motorcycle theft in the jurisdiction of the Medan City Police and its surrounding areas. The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the role of the Indonesian National Police in revealing motorcycle theft cases. The problem is focused on maintaining public security and order, law enforcement, protection, shelter and service to the community. This type of research uses normative legal research, meaning that this study tends to use secondary data, both primary legal materials and secondary legal materials. Data were collected using document studies and analyzed. Analysis for qualitative data was carried out by selecting articles containing legal principles. This study concludes that the Role of the Indonesian National Police in revealing motorcycle theft cases in the jurisdiction of the Medan City Police and its surrounding areas & Obstacles to the Indonesian National Police in providing security protection to motorized vehicle users occur due to 2 factors, namely legal factors and non-legal factors.

Abstract

Kesehatan adalah elemen penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat. Di Kelurahan Bukir, kesadaran akan pentingnya kesehatan menjadi prioritas, terutama dalam pencegahan dan penanganan masalah kesehatan. Sosialisasi yang dilakukan telah meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat, dengan sekitar 85% warga lebih mengerti tentang stunting, penyebabnya, dan cara mencegahnya. Selain itu, kampanye pencegahan DBD dan penyuluhan 3M Plus (Menguras, Menutup, dan Mendaur ulang) mendorong warga untuk lebih menjaga kebersihan lingkungan. Program Senam Lansia juga mendapatkan respon positif, di mana peserta merasakan peningkatan kesehatan fisik dan mental. Dengan peningkatan kapasitas kader dan fasilitas di Posyandu, pelayanan kesehatan bagi ibu hamil, bayi, dan balita menjadi lebih baik. Melalui sosialisasi dan program kesehatan yang terarah, diharapkan kesadaran serta partisipasi masyarakat dalam menjaga kesehatan terus meningkat, mewujudkan lingkungan yang lebih sehat dan bebas dari stunting, DBD, serta masalah kesehatan lainnya.

Abstract

Littoral zone often face environmental pressure due to anthropogenic activities, which can impact the quality of their ecosystem. This study analyzes the concentrations of copper (Cu) and lead (Pb) in sediments and benthic (Anadara granosa and Cerithidea cingulata). Sampling procedures were implemented during September 2022 across the aquatic habitats of Sembilang National Park, in South Sumatra Province, using the purposive sampling method. Sediment grain size and substrate type were analyzed using Shepard’s triangle. Metal detection using a spectrophotometric method based on atomic absorption. The results showed that the sediment fraction mostly consisted of clay, ranging from 92.03% to 94%. Cu concentrations in the sediment ranged from 5.01±0.017 to 5.71±0 mg/kg, while Pb concentrations ranged from 10.5±0.195 to 11.51±0.395 mg/kg. In the benthic, Cu concentrations ranged from 0.0037±0.00005773 to 0.0147±0.00000346 mg/kg, and Pb concentrations ranged from 0.0001±0.000227 to 0.005±0 mg/kg. According to the statistical evaluation testing via independent sample t-test showed that heavy metals differed significantly (p <0.05) between sediment and benthic compartments. These results show that the environmental quality in Sembilang National Park is still comparatively well maintained and within current quality requirements, despite certain activities that have the potential to pollute the environment. To guarantee the long-term viability of this area, it is advised that environmental quality be frequently monitored as a mitigation action.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran Badan Kerja Sama Antar Desa (BKAD) dalam pemberdayaan pemberdayaan masyarakat desa di Kecamatan Rimbo Ulu, Kabupaten. Tebo, Provinsi Jambi. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori struktural fungsional dari Talcott Parsons yang menganalisis terkait struktur fungsional suatu sistem berdasarkan status dan perannya dengan menggunakan 4 skema yakni A-G-I-L. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan tipe deskriptif. Pemilihan informan dalam penelitian menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah informan 12 orang. Jenis data berupa data primer dan data sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tiga tahap yakni observasi, wawancara dan juga studi dokumen. Unit analisis adalah kelompok yakni anggota lembaga Badan Kerja Sama Antar Desa (BKAD). Analisis data menggunakan analisis data interaktif dari Milles & Huberman yang terdiri dari 4 tahap yakni reduksi Pengumpulan data, reduksi data, Penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa 1) sebagai koordinasi pelaksanaan program kegiatan, BKAD melakukan koordinasi berupa menyelenggarakan pertemuan, menyiapkan sarana dan prasarana pendukung kegiatan, dan menjaga keberlanjutan perencanaan dan pelaksanaan program. 2) melakukan pembinaan terhadap masyarakat yakni dengan SPP dan kegiatan sosial dan pelatihan. 3) Mengelola keuangan dan membuat laporan secara berkala dan terstruktur.

Abstract

This study examines shoreline dynamics in the Banyuasin Estuary, South Sumatra, Indonesia, by integrating multi-decadal satellite imagery (1989-2019) with field-based sedimentation measurements. The research employs Google Earth Engine (GEE) for satellite data processing, FES 2014 tidal corrections to address tidal variations, and the Digital Shoreline Analysis System (DSAS) for precise shoreline change analysis. The primary objective is to comprehensively understand coastline shifts and sediment deposition in stabilising coastal zones. The findings reveal significant shoreline accretion, with net accretion of 2,012 hectares and prominent shoreline advancements at Anakan Island (2,012.33 meters, 118.98 meters/year), while regions such as Sembilang National Park and southern Payung Island exhibited notable erosion (322.71 meters, 10.8 meters/year). The Banyuasin River estuary shifted from notable to extreme accretion phases, contrasting with the more stable shoreline dynamics in the Musi River estuary, where accretion remained stable to intense. The integrated methodology, combining GEE, tidal corrections, and DSAS, offers an innovative approach to monitoring shoreline changes. These findings provide valuable insights for developing sustainable coastal management strategies, particularly in areas facing the dual challenges of climate change and human-induced pressures.

Abstract

Saus tomat adalah salah satu bahan makanan yang banyak dikonsumsi di berbagai belahan dunia, termasuk Indonesia. Meskipun memiliki cita rasa yang lezat, terdapat kekhawatiran terkait penggunaan bahan kimia berbahaya, seperti Rhodamin B, yang dapat membahayakan kesehatan. Rhodamin B merupakan pewarna sintetik yang dilarang penggunaannya dalam makanan karena dapat menyebabkan gangguan organ hingga kanker. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan metode alternatif dalam mendeteksi keberadaan Rhodamin B pada saus tomat menggunakan detergen sebagai ekstraktor dan kunyit (Curcuma longa) sebagai indikator alami khususnya mahasisiwa dan ibu-ibu rumah tangga di Desa Bagu. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi penyuluhan, demonstrasi, dan praktik langsung pembuatan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta sangat antusias dan mampu memahami serta mempraktikkan cara deteksi Rhodamin B pada saus tomat secara mandiri. Diharapkan kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat dalam memilih makanan yang aman dikonsumsi serta mendorong gaya hidup sehat dalam keluarga
