PPAH has an independent business unit engaged in the creative industry, namely screen-printing merchandise which is the result of the LP2M Community Service team of Universitas Negeri Malang. However, there are still many shortcomings and obstacles experienced by partners, namely the PPAH digital screen-printing business called "Asyuro Produk". Abstract

The objective of the study was to determine the efficacy of the POSSE (Predict, Organize, Search, Summarize, and Evaluate) Strategy in enhancing students' reading comprehension. This study was carried out at the SMP Negeri 1 Toribulu. The research population comprised 66 eighth-grade students. The research used quantitative research, particularly in Quasi-Experimental Design. To get the sample, the researcher employed cluster random sampling. The data was collected using exam items, which included 10 multiple-choice and 5 essay questions. There were pretest and posttest in both groups, and the experimental group received treatment while the control group did not. The results showed the students' mean score of the experimental group (55.64) on the posttest was higher than the score from the control group (31.24) on the posttest. The sig value is calculated using statistical results. With a 2 tailed of 0.0000.05, it can be determined that there is a significant difference in the mean score of pupils' learning outcomes between the POSSE-based learning model and the usual method taught by the teacher.

Abstract

Research with the title "Optimizing the general cargo loading process to support efficiency on the MV Hanglima ship". Optimizing general cargo loading is very vital because more optimal loading will make MV Hanglima more able to compete with other ships or companies. This research aims to determine the factors that are obstacles that reduce efficiency in loading and to determine efforts to handle obstacles that occur when loading general cargo on the MV Hanglima. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method by using 5 data collection techniques including data from the prala location, namely the MV Hanglima ship. The theoretical basis used is a theory that includes 5 loading principles. And it was concluded that the loading of general cargo on the first trip on the MV Hanglima was less efficient, such as not paying enough attention to the stowage plan that had been made, which resulted in less systematic loading and broken stowage. Apart from that, the safety of ships, cargo, and workers and TKBM is still not paid enough attention so that it can be detrimental to the ship or shipping company, PBM, and workers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to prove whether the use of extensive reading strategies improves reading comprehension of eighth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Pagimana. This study applied a pre-experimental design. The population of this study was eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Pagimana. The sample in this study consisted of 30 students. Data were collected through multiple choice and comprehension questions, to collect data the researcher gave a pre-test and post-test to compare students' achievement in reading comprehension before and after the extensive reading strategy treatment was carried out in the reading process. The researcher used the SPSS 27 program to analyze the data to determine whether there was an effect on students' reading comprehension after the extensive reading strategy was implemented in the learning process, which finally found the value of Z = -2.534 and Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) = 0.011. And because, the value of Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) <0.05 then, it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted. That means that the reading comprehension of eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Pagimana can be improved by using extensive reading strategies.

Abstract

The Sutami Reservoir, located in Malang Regency, East Java, has moderate to severe levels of pollution. This pollution problem can reduce the water quality of the Sutami Reservoir, so it requires coordination from the agencies concerned to formulate water pollution control policies. The management agency for the Sutami Reservoir is the ‘Perum Jasa Tirta 1’ (PJT 1). The institutional analysis applied is the Interpretative Structural Modeling (ISM) method, to find out which agencies are key elements/factors. There are eleven agencies analyzed. Agencies that are included in the ‘Dependent’ sector are the Water Resources Public Works Office, the Tourism and Culture Office, the Livestock and Animal Health Office, the Population Control and Family Planning Office, and the rice farmer groups. Institutions in the ‘Linkage’ sector are the Food Crops, Horticulture, and Plantations Office and the Industry and Trade Office. Institutions in the ‘Independent’ sector that play a key role are the Environment Office, the Fisheries Office, Balai Besar Wilayah Sungai Brantas, and the floating net cage fish farmer group. These four agencies are the key elements that have a big driving power so that more in-depth coordination needs to be carried out for the formulation of policies and regulations for water quality control.

Then, tests were used as research instruments which consisted of pretest and post-test. Furthermore, the researchers used SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) 29.0.2.0 to analyse the data. The data prove that the mean score of the experimental class was higher than the mean score of the control class. In addition, the result of sig. (2-tailed) is lower than 0.05. Therefore, it can be indicated that the hypothesis is accepted. Thus, this research concludes that Question and Answer Relationship Strategy can effectively enhance the students’ reading comprehension of eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 1 Sindue.

Abstract

Vocabulary acquisition remains a persistent challenge in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classrooms, particularly in relation to spelling accuracy, word meaning, and contextual usage. Addressing this issue, the present study investigates the effectiveness of the Circle Game as an interactive teaching strategy aimed at improving vocabulary mastery among eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Sindue Tobata. Employing a quasi-experimental design, 50 students were divided into control and experimental groups. The experimental group engaged in six Circle Game sessions, while the control group received traditional instruction. Data were collected through pre- and post-tests. Results indicated a notable increase in the vocabulary scores of the experimental group, rising from a mean score of 55.36 to 86.8, compared to the control group's improvement from 60.4 to 68.4. A t-test analysis confirmed the statistical significance of the difference between the two groups (t = 7.56 > 2.011). This study highlights the urgency of adopting engaging, student-centered methods in EFL instruction. The findings suggest that game-based strategies like the Circle Game can significantly boost vocabulary learning, motivation, and classroom interaction.
